Abstract

This phenomenon is also evident at the CRC Muaro Jambi Car-Free Day, with the emergence of recreational sports communities, such as jogging. This phenomenon has become a current trend for maintaining a sense of community in society. This phenomenon has a positive impact if implemented consistently and sustainably. Additionally, the development of a modern lifestyle that tends to be sedentary due to technological advancements has led many people to experience a decline in physical activity. The objective of this study is to describe and examine participants’ experiences and understanding, as well as what makes the community feel comfortable and enjoy sports activities at the Car Free Day event in CRC Muaro Jambi. This study employs a qualitative method. The research subjects are visitors to Car Free Day at CRC Muaro Jambi who actively participate in recreational sports activities. Participants were selected to be at least 17 years of age, as they are considered capable of providing information consciously and objectively. The results of the study reveal the public’s experiences when engaging in sports at Car Free Day at CRC Muaro Jambi. They initially went jogging at the CRC, but since it’s so crowded these days, they’ve switched to just taking a leisurely walk. They usually go every week if there are no other activities. They visit the CRC to help children practice rollerblading, but since the ground isn’t level, it can only be used for physical exercise; it’s not suitable for recreational rollerblading. The community understands and appreciates the value of the community sports activities held during Car Free Day at the CRC in Muaro Jambi. Car Free Day activities take place every Friday and Saturday, with many people engaging in sports and a bazaar. Besides exercising, it also serves as physical training. Making the community feel comfortable and enjoy the sports activities at the CRC Muaro Jambi Car Free Day. The Car Free Day activities currently being held are quite enjoyable. initially, the road was open to vehicles, but now it’s separated for those exercising. As for the facilities, they’re quite good; however, parking security is a bit of an issue because not all areas have parking attendants, so there’s a slight fear of losing one’s motorcycle. At CRC, training is quite comfortable, and the environment is still pleasant, yes.

Abstract

The level of students’ knowledge regarding balanced nutrition and its relationship to physical growth at SMA Negeri 1 Merangin has not been widely studied. This research aimed to determine the level of knowledge of grade X, XI, and XII students about balanced nutrition in relation to physical growth. This study employed a descriptive quantitative method with a cross-sectional design. The population consisted of 981 students, with a sample of 76 students selected using proportionate stratified random sampling. Data were collected through a 40-item questionnaire adapted from the Adolescent Nutrition Knowledge Questionnaire (ANKQ) and the Indonesian Balanced Nutrition Guidelines, as well as measurements of body weight and height to determine Body Mass Index (BMI). Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results showed that the average knowledge score was 35.84 out of 40 (89.6%). Most students were categorized as having very good knowledge (80.3%), followed by good (17.1%), sufficient (1.3%), and poor (1.3%). All dimensions of balanced nutrition knowledge were classified as very good. However, BMI results indicated that only 51.3% of students had normal nutritional status, while 27.6% were underweight, 17.1% were overweight, and 3.9% were obese. These findings suggest that high nutritional knowledge does not necessarily correspond to ideal nutritional status, as it may also be influenced by dietary habits, food accessibility, and socioeconomic factors.

Abstract

Based on the researcher's observations, the athletes' fundamental technical skills during the defensive and transition phases of play have generally demonstrated good and consistent performance. Their ball control (ball feeling) and defensive strategies through dink and drive shots have developed well. However, these strengths have not been matched by the ability to execute smash shots accurately and effectively. This imbalance indicates that while ball control and defensive execution are relatively mature, smash accuracy remains the primary weakness, often resulting in missed opportunities to score points. To date, there has been no clear, objective, and measurable data regarding the level of smash accuracy among Jambi pickleball athletes, making their actual performance difficult to determine. Furthermore, a review of previous studies revealed that no research has specifically examined smash accuracy among pickleball athletes in Jambi. Therefore, this study aimed to determine the level of smash accuracy in pickleball among Jambi pickleball athletes. This research employed a quantitative descriptive approach using a survey method. Since the population consisted of fewer than 30 individuals, a total sampling technique was applied, allowing all members of the population to participate in the study. Accordingly, the sample comprised 20 athletes. Keywords: Smash Accuracy, Pickleball, Jambi Pickleball Athletes.
