Abstract

ABSTRACK Stunting is a condition of failure to thrive caused by chronic malnutrition, especially in the first thousand days of life (HPK). this research aims to find out mothers' understanding of preventing stunting in children under five. The method used in this research is qualitative research with a case study approach to explore the phenomenon of stunting problems in children under five. The techniques used to collect data are observation, interviews and documentation. The number of informants in this study was five (5) people aged 20-40 years who had stunted children under five. The research results show that in the literacy section, informants understand that exclusive breastfeeding is important, but in reality not all informants can provide exclusive breastfeeding because there are various factors, including the mother's physical condition which does not allow her to produce a lot of breast milk and mothers who have to work to earn a living. Then in terms of education, the informant also knew that providing nutritious food was also important, but in reality the food menu given was always the same, making children bored and having difficulty eating, which could result in unbalanced nutritional problems. Furthermore, regarding environmental sanitation, mothers let children play around the house without supervision so that children's cleanliness is given less attention. The behavior of providing immunization is good because all toddlers have been fully immunized and economic planning practices are not implemented because economic conditions do not allow it.

Abstract

Abundant natural resources cannot be utilized properly for the needs of the surrounding community, so learning efforts are needed to manage the potential of natural resources owned through empowering the community. The purpose of this research is to find out how Jim Ife's theory of community empowerment is applied to community empowerment programs through farmer groups. This study used a qualitative case study approach with the research subject being the head of the Farmers' Group, members of the Farmers' Group and Agricultural Extension Officers of the Farmer's Group. Data collection was carried out by interview and observation techniques. The results showed that the process of community empowerment through the Farmer Group program can be said to be quite good in terms of applying the community empowerment perspective according to Jim Ife, in the Tnao Mat farmer group there is a community empowerment program, namely meetings between field agricultural extension workers and members of farmer groups, where there is counseling, socialization and training on agriculture that helps farming communities manage their natural resources. The end result of the empowerment program is that members of farmer groups are able to independently improve their quality of life and no longer depend on community empowerment program activities being held, especially helping them find solutions/problem solving to the social problems they face.

Abstract

ABSTRACTSocial media has become a widely used platform among adolescents, including inthe formation of self-identity. Social media is not only a means of communication but alsoa space for expression where adolescents can create, explore, and reinforce their selfimage. In this process, social media allows adolescents to utilize various features such asphoto uploads, videos, and statuses that reflect their personality. This study aims to analyzethe influence of social media usage on the self-identity formation of adolescents inRT18/RW1, Kelapa Subdistrict, using a narrative qualitative approach. The researchsubjects consist of adolescents aged 18–19 years. The findings of the study indicate that social media has both positive and negativeinfluences on the self-identity formation of adolescents. On the positive side, social mediaenables adolescents to expand their social networks and gain emotional support fromcommunities, such as peers, who provide positive feedback. This helps enhance their selfconfidence and self-satisfaction. However, on the negative side, uncontrolled use of socialmedia can lead to excessive social comparisons, increase anxiety, and disrupt theconsistency of self-identity. These findings also highlight the importance of the role offamily and the social environment in managing the negative impacts of social media onadolescents and providing guidance for the wise use of social media.
