Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the TTW and PBL learning models on solving mathematical problems in terms of learning independence, as well as the interaction between learning models and learning independence. This research is quasi-experimental (quasi-experimental research) carried out by involving all students of class IX SMPN in Central Lombok district as a population. The sample was selected using a stratified cluster random sampling technique. There are three schools out of 61 schools and two classes are taken in each school. Each class is grouped into experimental class I and experiment II. Experiment class I was taught using the TTW learning model and experiment II was taught using the PBL learning model. Data were collected using questionnaires and tests. Data were analyzed using the two way ANOVA method and followed by the Scheffe-test. The results showed that (1) the TTW and PBL learning models had a significant effect on problem-solving abilities; 2) the student's problem-solving ability in the TTW learning model is higher than the PBL learning model, 3) there is an interaction between the learning model and the student's learning independence on problem-solving abilities; 4) the problem-solving ability with the TTW learning model is higher than the problem-solving ability with the PBL learning model in each category of student independence

Abstract

Penilaian merupakan proses yang sangat penting dalam pembelajaran. Instrumen penilaian yang memenuhi standar, secara tepat akan mengukur hasil akhir dari suatu proses pembelajaran, sehingga hasil belajar siswa akan terdeteksi dengan baik dan dapat dijadikan bahan evaluasi untuk program pembelajaran selanjutnya. Mata pelajaran PJOK yang mengutamakan ranah keterampilan dalam pembelajarannya seringkali mengabaikan ranah pengetahuan. Instrumen penilaian untuk mengukur ranah pengetahuan siswa disusun harus memenuhi kriteria instrumen penilaian yang baik sehingga, hasil belajar siswa dapat terdeteksi dengan baik.

Abstract

The objective of this research was aimed to investigate the effectiveness of peer reviewing in improving the students’ writing ability in recount text.   The method of the research was quasi-experimental design with control and experimental group and post-test only. The population of this research was the entire eight grade students of SMPN 1 Pringgarata. The cluster random sampling was used in the sampling technique. There were two classes of eight grade students as the sample of this research. They were VIII A that consists of 32 students as the control class and VIII B that consists of 30 students as the experimental class. Test and questionnaire were the instruments of this research. The data collected from the tests were analyzed by using independent sample t test and MANOVA through SPSS.   Results show that the independent sample t-test was 0.001 for motivation and 0.000 for the writing ability. Moreover, the result of MANOVA test was 0.000. The results were consulted to the score of the significant value generated Sig. (Pvalue) < α = 0.05. Thus, Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. In other words, the result of the study revealed that peer review gave significant effect to the students’ wriying ability in recount text. It can be concluded that there is a significant effect to the students’ writing ability who taught using peer review.

Abstract

Pada saat sekarang ini metakognisi siswa masih dikatakan rendah. Oleh karena itu, Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis metakognisi siswa berdasarkan self-confidence siswa yang dilihat dari pemahaman konsep matematika. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa SMA Negeri 1 Batukliang. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah wawancara, observasi, dan kuesioner. Teknik Analisis data dilakukan dengan tiga tahapan menurut Miles dan Huberman yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Dari hasil analisis data, dinyatakan bahwa semakin baik metakognisi siswa dan self-confidence siswa maka semakain baik pemahaman konsep siswayang artinya siswa yang pemahaman konsepnya tinggi siswa tersebut memiliki metakognisi yang tinggi. Sehingga dikatakan bahwa metakognisi siswa yang tinggi dapat menumbuhkan self-confidence siswa dan juga pemahaman konsep siswa menjadi tinggi, dan itu artinya metakognisi memiliki peran penting untuk mencapai suatu hasil yang maksimal dan mendorong kemampuan siswa itu sendiri.
