Abstract

The aims of this research are: 1. Able to design and build functional and ergonomic trolleys based on anthropometric data. 2. Able to demonstrate the efficiency of physical products from trolleys to material handling aspects. 3. To make products that can facilitate the transportation of waste to temporary waste disposal sites (TPS).Data collection was carried out by conducting interviews and measuring the body dimensions to 20 respondents consisting of 10 industrial engineering students class of 2018 and 10 random respondents aged 22-57 years. For the design of the trolley, there are 4 data variables that will be used, namely LB (44 cm), TPB (101.90 cm), JTD (63.10), PTT (16 cm) and several additional parts to make it more ergonomic and efficient. The conclusions of this study are 1. The design and manufacture of the trolley is in accordance with the anthropometric size of the human body where the trolley is very functional by providing a pulley on the trolley so as to facilitate the process of moving to the four temporary garbage disposals (TPS) and providing 3-axis wheels which function to facilitate the collection of waste through the stairs. Thus reducing complaints of diseases such as injuries to muscles, tendons, ligaments, nerves, cartilage, bones, or blood vessels in the hands, feet, neck, and back. 2. The physical product of the trolley is in accordance with anthropometric aspects and the trolley is also more efficient in its use.

Abstract

Water conservation is an effort to protect, use and manage water wisely to ensure the availability of sufficient water for current and future needs. This research aims to determine the relationship between students' knowledge and attitudes in water conservation at the MA Darel Hikmah Pekanbaru Dormitory. The research design used is a quantitative design using a cross-sectional approach, where researchers will look for relationships with students' knowledge and attitudes in water conservation. The independent variables (Knowledge and Attitudes) and the dependent variable (Water Conservation) in students will be assessed and measured at the same time. Data analysis in this research consisted of univariate and bivariate analysis. The research was conducted at the Madrasah Aliyah Darel Hikmah Pekanbaru Dormitory from September to October 2023. that there was a significant relationship between knowledge and water conservation at the Madrasah Aliyah Darel Hikmah Pekanbaru Dormitory with a p-value of 0.008 and there was a significant relationship between attitude and water conservation in the Dormitory Madrasah Aliyah Pekanbaru with a p-value of 0.003. It is hoped that schools can provide education to students about water conservation so that students can increase their knowledge so that it can be applied in everyday life in the dormitory.

Abstract

The development of development in the industrial world does not escape the use of building materials, one of which is asphalt, which is often used in road construction. Asbuton is one of Indonesia's natural resources whose quality cannot be doubted. One of the asbuton technologies that is widely used is pre-mixed asbuton. Pre-mixed asphalt is one type of modified asphalt used in Indonesia. Pre-mixed Asbuton is processed and mixed with Asphalt Pen 60/70 in a factory that meets certain requirements, so it is equivalent to Modified Asphalt. This research aims to obtain a comparison of the characteristic values of Premixed Asbuton (AC-WC) with Pen 60/70 Oil Asphalt (AC-WC). The method used is experimental by carrying out laboratory tests. The test results for Premixed Asbuton (AC-WC) stability were 1,239.2 and Flow 3.82. Meanwhile, Asphalt Pen 60/70 (AC-WC) Stability is 1,051.4 and Flow 3.17

Abstract

PT. Mitra Bumi is a company operating in the palm oil sector that produces CPO and so far wants to know the level of productivity. OMAX is a partial productivity measurement system developed to monitor productivity in each part of the company with productivity criteria that are appropriate to the existence of that part (objective). Productivity is an important factor to support the survival of a company by analyzing and evaluating the output obtained based on its level of performance during a certain period. To find out the current level of productivity in the production department, it is necessary to measure productivity, because the results of this productivity measurement can be used as a consideration for implementing efforts that can be made to increase the company's productivity. Productivity measurements at PT Mitra Bumi are carried out using the method, objective matrix analysis (OMAX). The criteria used in this research are raw material productivity, effective working hours productivity, machine working hours and production effectiveness. The highest productivity index value was in July with a total value of 112.00%, while the lowest value was in June with a value of -91.33%. The cause and effect diagram is used to determine the causes of the decline in productivity in the CPO production section. As a result, production productivity at PT Mitra Bumi was influenced by factors that caused productivity to decrease, namely damage to the tippler machine, unsuitable raw materials, and less skilled operators

Abstract

In addition to considering food ingredients, processing techniques are one of the important factors in producing high-taste food and maintaining nutritional consistency. In Indonesia, there is a term for food processing that uses English. This study aims to analyze food processing techniques. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method. The data collection technique in this study is carried out by observing individuals who work as production heads. The results of the study showed that food processing techniques included harvesting techniques, drying techniques, milling techniques, sieving techniques, chocolate making techniques and packaging techniques.

Abstract

Activities at sorting stations and boilers are high risk activities. Incorrect body posture, done repeatedly and relying on manual human power causes musculoskeletal disorders (MSDS). This research aims to analyze MSDs disturbances in body parts of workers at sorting  stations and boilers using the Ovako work posture analysis system (OWAS) method. OWAS can identify four body parts in a worker's posture, namely the back, upper arms, legs and weight category. Based on the results of the OWAS assessment, a score of  4144 was obtained at the sorting station, and 4141 at the boiler station. Both scores are in category 4, which means improvements need to be made as soon as possible. The injury risk index reached a value of 400 for both stations, indicating a very high level of danger.
