Abstract

This research intends to know the effect of the atonic concentration level in a soak of growing budding jahe Gajah rhizome. This research is experiment methods used to block multiple random designs and used atonic concentration 0,04%, 0,06%, 0,08% and soak duration 1 hours, 3 hours and 5 hours- The result of research indicated that 0,08% atonic concentration use and 3 hours soak duration caused time for budded better. No real effects of Atonic concentration on the amount of bud, the height of bud, length and amount of root.

Abstract

The objective of the research was to determine the respiration rate of vegetable through calculating CO, content resulted from the respiration process. The nature of the research was experimental research which held in a laboratory at the Faculty of Agriculture, Flores University. The result showed that respiration process released C02 and energy. Titration result in yam showed higher C02 content in comparison to cabbage and mustard green. However, the respiration rate of mustard green was higher than other vegetables. The logic behind the results was that the position and the number of stomata per area of the leaf determine respiration rate. In this case, the number of stomata on the mustard green was higher than other observed vegetables. In fact, the respiration rate of vegetables is determined by several factors. Specifically, some internal and external factors affect it, such as soluble matters availability, oxygen, temperature, type and development stage of plants. Morphologically, certain vegetables produce more moisture content than others, which is, in turn, produce low respiration rate.

Abstract

Utilization of detergent in daily life has been widespread due to its effective cleaning features in comparison to ordinary soaps. Detergent has been used by small scale in households and laundry firms, and by large in industries. As detergent utilization increased, its accumulative effects on environment become alarming. he experiment was conducted to determine the effect of detergent on the various in order to investigate the influence of detergent waste on different types of soils and its impacts on growth of Canna flower (Canna indica L.). Experiment was carried out at green house at Animal Science Faculty, University of Udayana. The research was carried out for seven months; from January till July 2012, using Randomized Block Design with two factorial. The first factor is the type of soil consisting of Land P1 = Vertisol soil, P2 = Inceptisol soil and P3 = Andisol soil. Second, detergent waste factor which divided into treatments respectively Lo = control, L1 = 500 ml, L2 1000 ml, L3 = 1500 ml. so that there are 12 combinations of treatments;, Each treatment was replicated three times. The results showed that statistically soil types has high significantly influenced on plant height at 30 Days after planting (DAP), 44 DAP, 58 DAP, 100 DAP; upper plant weight, and dry oven weight, detergent waste pH 30 HST, detergent waste temperature 44 HST, available N and available P. Different soil types also produced significant effects on COD 72 and 86 DAP. depending on different types of soil physical properties of soil pH, soil texture, ability of plant to absorb nutrition Canna flower is able to absorb. Canna flower plant uptake efficiency for Vertisol soils 90%, 68%, 46.66% ; lnceptisol 96,6 %, 78%, 60% ; and soil types Andisol 83%, 53%, 36.66% for detergent waste levels at 500 ml, 1000 ml and 1500 ml. Filtration different types of with soil and flowers kanna can lower the pH detergent wastes, detergents and sewage temperature of COD.

Abstract

Coffee is cultivated by farmers in Wologai Village in the middle of Detusoko District, Ende Regency. Coffee plants are getting old and cannot be distributed. Agro-climate conditions are suitable for coffee plants, but coffee production is still very low. This activity aims to provide assistance to coffee farmers, with the hope that there will be an increase in the knowledge and skills of coffee farmers for the types of coffee plants, coffee plantations and coffee plantation management techniques. The target of activities in the farmer group consisting of 29 people, the activities carried out during 6 meetings, with counseling and training methods. The results of the evaluation of this service activity can increase the knowledge and skills of farmers in the aspect of agroecosystems or the environment for growing coffee plants by an average of 41.38% and farmers' knowledge regarding aspects of coffee plants increased by an average of 25.86%. ---  Kopi banyak diusahakan petani di Desa Wologai tengah Kecamatan Detusoko Kabupaten Ende. Tanaman kopi sudah berumur tua dan dibudidayakan menyebar atau tidak pada satu lahan. Kondisi Agroklimat sudah sesuai untuk tanaman kopi, namun produksi kopi masih sangat rendah. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk melakukan pendampingan terhadap petani kopi, dengan harapan terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan petani kopi terhadap terhadap Jenis tanaman kopi, agroekosistem tanaman kopi dan teknik pengelolaan kebun kopi. Sasaran kegiatan pada kelompok tani yang beranggotakan 29 orang, kegiatan dilakukan selama 6 kali pertemuan, dengan metode penyuluhan dan pelatihan. Hasil dari evaluasi kegiatan pengabdian ini dapat meningkatan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan petani dalam aspek Agroekosistem atau lingkungan tumbuh tanaman kopi rata-rata sebesar 41,38% dan pengetahuan petani terkait aspek tanaman kopi meningkat rata-rata sebesar 25,86%.

Abstract

ABSTRAKSetiap Individu, khususnya orang muda dituntut untuk mampu berkomunikasi dengan baik dan mampu memiliki jiwa leadership guna membangun kehidupannya baik secara pribadi, maupun dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat. Jiwa kepemimpinan dan kemampuan seseorang dalam berbicara merupakan bagian dari komunikasi yang efektif, yaitu mampu merangkul dan merumuskan keputusan untuk mencapai musyawarah yang baik, serta menyampaikan pesan kepada khalayak dengan cara yang tepat dan menarik perhatian. Namun pada kenyataannya, pada Orang Muda yang tergabung dalam komunitas AMC Pu’urere Ende masih belum maksimal dalam memimpin suatu kegiatan serta berbicara didepan umum. Hal ini mendorong tim untuk melakukan pelatihan dan pendampingan kepemimpinan dan public speaking pada Komunitas orang muda di AMC Pu’urere Ende. Tujuan dari program ini adalah untuk membantu orang muda sehingga dapat meningkatkan jiwa kepemimpinan dan rasa percaya diri saat berbicara. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah ceramah, dialog aktif, diskusi dan rencana tindak lanjut yang digunakan sebagai kegaiatn inti yang ingin dicapai dalam pengabdian ini. Hasil yang didapat dari program ini adalah mampunya Orang Muda AMC Pu’urere dalam mempimpin kegiatan, dari tahap persiapan hingga pelaksanaan, dapat menyusun agenda program tertentu dengan baik dan benar sesuai dengan kebutuhannya, serta memiliki kemampuan public speaking yang memadai. Kata kunci: orang muda; kepemimpinan; public speaking. ABSTRACTEvery individual, especially youth people, are required to be able to communicate well and be able to have a leadership spirit, to build his life both personally and in social life. Leadership spirit and one's ability to speak are part of effective communication, namely being able to embrace and formulate decisions to achieve good deliberation, as well as convey messages to audiences in an appropriate and attention-grabbing manner. But in reality, youth who are members of the AMC Pu’urere Ende community are still not optimal in leading activity and speaking in public. This encourages the team to conduct training and mentoring in leadership and public speaking for the youth community at AMC Pu’urere Ende. This program aims to help youth people to improve their leadership spirit and self-confidence when speaking. The methods used in this service activity are lectures, active dialogue, discussions and follow-up plans which are used as the core activities to be achieved in this service. The results obtained from this program are the ability of AMC Pu’urere Youth People in leading activities, from the preparation stage to implementation, being able to arrange certain program agendas properly and correctly according to their needs and having adequate public speaking skills. Keywords: youth people; leadership; public speaking.

Abstract

Red chili (Capsicum annuum L.) is one of the vegetable commodities that has bright prospects and market demand continues to increase along with the increase in population, but until now the chili has not been able to meet the needs of the community. Efforts to increase production to meet needs that cover quality and quantity can be done by planting intercropping and fertilizing NPK Phonska. This study aims to determine the effect of NPK Phonska fertilizer on the growth and yield of intercropping of optimal chili and shallot plants. The experimental design used a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with a single factor pattern consisting of 5 NPK Phonska fertilizer treatments, namely BC0 = 0 kg ha-1 (control), BC1 = 300 kg ha-1, BC2 = 600 kg ha-1, BC3 = 900 kg ha-1, BC4 = 1200 kg ha-1. Non-destructive data collection is carried out. F test level 5% to test the effect of treatment, the difference between treatments was based on 5% BNT Value. The results showed that administration of NPK Phonska fertilizer had a very significant effect on chili plants, namely on growth variables and yields of plant height 26.14 cm, number of leaves of 15.11 strands, leaf area of ??11.86 cm2 and plant high onion 33, 34 cm, number of leaves 33.14 strands. The optimum dose of NPK Phonska fertilizer which provides optimal growth and yield of intercropping of chili and shallot plants is 1200 kg ha-1.

Abstract

This study aims to know to employ organic fertilizer stall chicken at variable growth seed malacca with dose optimum organic fertilizer stall chicken the supply growth seed malacca the optimum. his study used a randomized block design (RAK) with treatment the at use PO0 = 0 gram polybag-1, PO1= 50 gram polybag-1 PO2 = 100 gram polybag-1, PO3 = 150 gram polybag-1, PO4 = 200 gram polybag-1. Variable growth observed in this study is plant height, wide of the leaf, the number of leaves, length of root, fresh of weight, and dry of weight. Data were statistically analyzed, and followed by test BNT standard 5 %. Studies indicate that present organic fertilizer stall chicken about malacca gives very real about all variable monitoring plant height 14,15%, wide of leaf 36,46%, the number of leaf 30,43%, long of root 21,00%, fresh of weight 47,42%, and dry of weight 42,44%. Dose optimum organic fertilizer stall chicken the supply growth seed malacca the optimum is 200 gram polybag-1.

Abstract

Side grafting technology, side grafting is a cocoa plant improvement technique that is done by inserting the stem of superior clones. This study aims to determine the effect of Janis entries on the side grafting growth of cocoa plants and the types of good entries in the growth of side grafting cacao plant.The plan used in this study was a randomized block design (RBD) with treatments used were local clone actress (E1), superior clone actress ICCRI 03 (E2), superior clone actress ICCRI 04 (E3), Sulawesi superior clone 01 (E4) ), Superior actress of Sulawesi Clone 02 (E5). The observational variables in this study were the percentage of survival, total plant leaves, plant area. The results of the study aimed that the treatment of superior clone entries had an effect on the observed variables of survival rates, total number of leaves of plants, leaf area. The type of entris that gives the best effect on the side grafting growth of cacao plant seeds is the superior Sulawesi clone actress 02.

Abstract

This study aims at finding out the Petragonik fertilizer’s dose on the growth and yield of red chilli and finding out the optimum dose of Petragonik fertilizer that can optimize the growth and yield of red chilli. This study employed group random design with the treatment of Petragonik fertilizer (P0) or control, (P1) 150 kg/ha-1or (75g petak1), (P2) 300 kg/ha-1or 150 g petak1), (P3) 450kg/ha-1or (225 g petak1 , (P4) 600 kg/ha-1or ( 300 g petak-1). The findings reveal that 450 kg/ha of fertilizer dose has a very significant influence on the height of plants (49,91cm) or increasing to (6,9%), a number of leaves (25 sheets) or rising to (10,07%), and wide of leaves (315 cm²) or a rise of (7,9%) and the yields of tan-1 (28,33 fruits), the diameter of chilli (3,50mm), the weight of fresh chilli ha-1 (416,83) and harvest index of (12,89%).

Abstract

The study aims at revealing the impact of Tiens Golden Harvest organic liquid fertilizer on the growth and the yield of clove seed and optimum dose of Tiens Golden Harvest liquid fertilizer leading to the growth and the optimal yield of clove seed. The design used in this study was random block design with the treatment of T0 = Tiens Golden Harvest fertilizer 0 g/seed T1 = Tiens Golden Harvest 45 ml/seed, T2 = Tiens Golden Harvest fertilizer 90 ml/seed, T3 = Tiens Golden Harvest fertilizer 135 ml/seed, T4 = Tiens Golden Harvest fertilizer 180 ml/seed. Observation variables in this study were plant height, total leaves, leaf width, total fresh weight of brangkasan plant-1 and total dry oven weight of plant-1. The analysis result indicated that giving a different dose of Tiens Golden Harvest fertilizer may impact the plant height of 44,27%, fresh weight of plant-1of 32,58%, dry oven weight of plant-1of 48,92%. The optimum dose of Tiens Golden Harvest fertilizer contributing to the optimal growth of the clove seed is 180ml seed-1.
