Abstract

Dental and oral health is very important because it can affect the health of other body parts, where the oral cavity is the main route or entrance for microorganisms. The behavior of maintaining dental and oral hygiene should be instilled from an early age. Behavior is the result of all kinds of experiences and interactions between humans and their environment. The form of behavior can be in the form of knowledge, attitudes, and actions. This study aimed to determine the relationship between dental and oral hygiene behavior on the prevention of dental caries in students of SD Swasta Kartika 1-1 Medan. This is an analytical survey research with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study was students of SD Swasta Kartika 1-1 Medan as many as 250 people. The sampling technique used purposive sampling with Slovin formula as many as 71 respondents. The data collection instrument used a questionnaire which was distributed directly to the respondents. Data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate analysis using and tested by chi-square test. The results of the study based on the chi-square test on the relationship of oral health behavior to the prevention of dental caries obtained in the high knowledge category with p-value = 0.004, the positive attitude category with p-value = 0.003, and the action category with p-value = 0.004. The conclusion shows that there is a significant relationship between knowledge, attitudes, and actions towards the prevention of dental caries in students of SD Swasta Kartika 1-1 Medan.

Abstract

Berdasarkan survei awal yang dilakukan di RSU. Mitra Medika Tanjung Mulia, di dapatkan bahwa desain fisik instalasi laboratorium tidak lengkap sesuai standar PERMENKES. Hal ini menyebabkan staf laboratorium sering mengalami kendala saat memanggil nama pasien atau keluarga pasien di ruang tunggu. Kendala lainnya tidak adanya ruang administrasi menyebabkan yang tidak berkepentingan masuk ke ruang pemeriksaan. Pengambilan sampel urin pasien juga dilakukan di kamar mandi lantai dua dan lokasi laboratorium yang tidak strategis menuju instalasi gawat darurat.Jenis penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Pengumpulan data ini dilakukan dengan wawancara semi terstruktur yang menggunakan pertanyaan terbuka. Penelitian dilakukan di RSU. Mitra Medika Tanjung Mulia pada instalasi laboratorium. Sumber informasi penelitian ini 6 orang informan, yaitu 1 orang kepala instalasi laboratorium, 1 orang kepala ruangan, 3 orang analis pelaksana dan 1 orang staf administrasi.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yaitu lokasi laboratorium, desain tata ruang laboratorium, luas ruang laboratorium dan pemanfaatan ruang laboratorium belum memenuhi syarat standar.Kesimpulan penelitian lokasi laboratorium belum memiliki akses yang mudah ke instalasi gawat darurat karena berada diantara ruang tunggu rumah sakit. Pada desain tata ruang tidak terdapat ruang administrasi, BDRS, penyimpanan reagensia, ruang kepala instalasi, ruang petugas dan kamar mandi pasien. Luas ruangan yang didapat tidak sesuai standar PERMENKES

Abstract

Breastfeeding is a scientific process, but mothers often fail or stop breastfeeding prematurely. Breast milk is a white liquid produced by the mother's breast glands through the breastfeeding process. For mothers who breastfeed, smooth milk is very important to meet the needs of the baby. This study aims to determine the effect of oxytocin massage on increasing milk production for breastfeeding mothers at the Siti Kholijah HSB Medan Pratama Clinic in 2022. This type of research is a quasi-experimental technique (Quasi Experiment) with pretest and posttest without control group, namely a research design using observation before and after experiment. The research location was at the Siti Kholijah Hsb Medan Pratama Clinic on Jl. Marelan I West IV Market, Waterfall Village, Medan Marelan District. The population in this study were 15 people and a sample of 15 people in breastfeeding mothers. Data were analyzed using the T test. The results showed that the statistical test using the T test, the calculation results obtained p value = 0.000 <0.05, meaning that there is a difference before being given treatment and after being given treatment. The conclusion in this study is for health workers in the Waterfall sub-district to hold counseling which aims to increase public knowledge, especially about oxytocin massage, which can increase milk production and provide exclusive breastfeeding.
