Abstract

method which was creativity, social interaction and it’s interaction toward students’cognitive, affective andpsychomotor learning achievement. The method used in the research was experimental method and wasconducted from September 2011 to February 2012. The population was the students of D-III Nasional Academyof Health Analyst Surakarta level I who had taken the analitycal chemistry I lecture. The sample was taken byusing cluster random sampling, consisted of two class regular 1B.1 and regular 1B.2. The learning methodapplied on regular 1B.1 was guided inquiry and on regular 1B.2 was project. The data was collected throughstudents’cognitive learning achievement test, and supported by questioner for measuring affective achievementsand observation sheet for assessing psychomotor. The hypothesis were tested using ANOVA three factorialdesigns with non-equal cell. From the data analysis, it could be concluded that: 1) there was no significantdifference from the results of Guided Inquiry and Project Method towards students’ learning achievement, 2)there was no significant difference from the results of high creativity and low creativity students’ learningachievement, 3) there was no significant difference from the results of high social interaction and low socialinteraction students’ learning achievement, 4) there was no interaction between learning method and creativitytoward students’ learning achievement, 5) there was no interaction between learning method and socialinteraction toward students’ learning achievement, 6) there was no interaction between creativity and socialinteraction toward students’ learning achievement, 7) there was no interaction among learning method,creativity, and social interaction toward students’ learning achievement.Keywords: Problem-based learning, Guided Inquiry Method, Project Method, Creativity, Social Interaction.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) prosedur pengembangan e-book berorientasi PBL pada materi hidrolisis garam di kelas XI MIA SMA; (2) kelayakan e-book kimia berorientasi PBL pada materi hidrolisis garam di kelas XI MIA SMA Negeri 1, 2, dan 5 Madiun; (3) penggunaan e-book kimia berorientasi PBL pada materi hidrolisis garam di kelas XI MIA SMA Negeri 5 Madiun terhadap hasil belajar kognitif. Penelitian pengembangan e-book  menggunakan prosedur R&D menurut Borg & Gall yang telah dimodifikasi menjadi 9 tahapan yaitu: 1) penelitian dan pengumpulan informasi; (2) perencanaan; (3) pengembangan produk e-book awal; (4) uji coba awal; (5) revisi I; (6) uji coba utama; (7) revisi II; (8) uji coba operasional dan (9) revisi III. Analisis data yang digunakan selama pengembangan adalah analisis deskriptif, teknik persentase, dan ketuntasan klasikal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) pengembangan e-book kimia berorientasi PBL telah dilaksanakan melalui prosedur R&D yang terdiri dari 9 tahap; (2) kelayakan e-book kimia berorientasi PBL berkualifikasi “sangat layak” untuk aspek materi dengan persentase 88,33% dan media dengan persentase 89,39% menurut para ahli; (3) penggunaan e-book kimia berorientasi PBL dalam pembelajaran mencapai ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 77,78%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the chemical representation of chemical bonds in three chemical textbooks. Chemical studies are basically related to three types of chemical representations: macro, submicro and symbolic. In this study a detailed review was carried out and could define the chemical representations in school textbooks to improve students' understanding of chemistry. A detailed analysis reveals five criteria for evaluating chemical representations which are included in three detailed chemical textbooks revealing five criteria for evaluating the chemical representation used in school textbooks. These criteria (C1-C5) are: (C1) type of representation; (C2) interpretation of surface features; (C3) their relationship with the text; (C4) the existence and characteristics of a statement; (C5) the level of correlation between components consisting of several representations. The five criteria include the basic elements needed to utilize chemical representations that are better in understanding chemistry. These five criteria can also be used for analysis of existing school textbooks and as a tool for au­thors in designing new chemistry textbooks

Abstract

Permasalahan kelangkaan pupuk dan penggunaan pupuk kimia sintetik secara berlebih sering muncul dalam pertanian. Hal ini terjadi pula pada sistem pertanian hortikultura di daerah Karangpandan Kabupaten Karanganyar. Perlu adanya edukasi tentang pentingnya manajemen penggunaan pupuk yang baik untuk menghemat dan menjaga kualitas lahan pertanian. Pada kegiatan ini tim pengabdi memberikan penyuluhan dan pelatihan pembuatan pupuk lepas lambat atau slow release guna memberikan pemahaman pemanfaatan material anorganik alam dalam penghematan pupuk kimia sintetik. Kegiatan ini diawali dengan pemaparan materi zeolit dan manfaatnya bagi pertanian dan dilanjutkan dengan pelatihan pembuatan pupuk kombinasi zeolit. Dari pelatihan ini diperoleh bahwa masyarakat menjadi paham akan bahaya pemakaian pupuk sintetik berlebih dan manfaat zeolit bagi pertanian. Pelatihan menjadikan anggota kelompok tani mampu menyiapkan pupuk dengan kombinasi zeolit. Dari survey juga diperoleh bahwa masyarakat tertarik untuk memanfaatkan teknologi campuran pupuk tersebut guna menghemat pemakaian pupuk. Dari kegiatan ini diharapkan teknologi yang dikembangkan di universitas mampu memberikan kontribusi bagi masyarakat tani khususnya pada teknologi pupuk slow release berbasis zeolit alam dan dapat diterapkan bagi kelompok tani pada skala yang lebih besar.
