Abstract

The growth of the family business cannot be separated from the problems that occur among fellow family members, such as the crisis of trust of fellow family members, conflicts in decision making, conflicts in leadership succession (successor to the throne), differences in managerial mindset between the first generation (founder) and the second generation (successor). Socio-Emotional Wealth (SEW) is one of the non-financial factors that can affect the sustainability of the family business, both during the transition process and the sustainability of the business. In addition, strong leadership, familial values, organizational transformation, succession, culture and attractive talents are needed to build longevity from generation to generation and the development of the family business. This research focuses more on family business succession, SEW, and family business diversification. The purpose of this study is to test the success of the succession process in business continuity in family companies, as well as to test the role and commitment of family members in business diversification in family companies. This research uses qualitative methods with a case study approach. Techniques in collecting data are observation and in-depth interviews. The results of the study obtained show that the commune and good relationships between family members, as well as the values and family culture maintained by the company will form a good and healthy Socio-Emotional Wealth. Where a healthy SEW will greatly affect the company's decision making during the succession process, diversification, and continuity of the family business.

Abstract

The food and beverage business in the city of Semarang every year continues to grow. However, in addition to the growth rate of its business which always grows every year, the number of players (trademarks) also increases both from foreign and local, both franchised and non-franchised which means that the market is narrower because there are more and more new competitors entering, for this reason Chockles must always make breakthroughs in order to develop following a dynamic market so that it is able to continue to compete and remain the choice of the community amid the onslaught of old players and competitors new. The purpose of this study is to increase scientific understanding of how innovations are made and developed in the face of challenges that are being faced as well as those that are coming given uncertain business conditions. This shows that the challenges and determining factors for business continuity are one of the things that influence innovation design in achieving competitive advantage. The number of informants used in this study were owners and employees of Chockles. The method of data collection is by using interview. Data analysis method used is qualitative analysis with interactive model. Based on the research that has been done then it can be obtained the conclusion, for Ferto Group's survival in achieving its goal of becoming a true and trusted distributor company, it is needed a new generation that will be able to lead Ferto Group in the future. Structured and sustainable mentoring will make Ferto Group's company components to have the same consistency and vision of both employees and leaders and in the long run it is expected to change the principal as well. The company's new culture is based on the value of continuous mentoring to instill corporate values to employees.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine and analyze the effect of entrepreneurial orientation, market orientation and project management perspective on competitive advantage and property business performance in Pati Regency. This research is a regression and quantitative research. This research was conducted at the end of 2021 on property companies in Pati Regency with a total of 50 property companies. Data collection using a closed questionnaire, and data analysis using analysis technique partial least squares (PLS). The results showed that entrepreneurial orientation, market orientation, management perspective had a positive effect on competitive advantage. Entrepreneurial orientation, market orientation, management perspective and competitive advantage have a positive effect on business performance. The conclusion is that entrepreneurial orientation, market orientation, management perspective play an important role in competitive advantage and property business performance in Pati district.
