Abstract

The need for creativity in music refers to an idea of novelty such as a new work, a new method, or a new technique. Especially music in an integrated performing art, musical drama for example. Communication between the director and music director is one part of interpersonal intelligence which must be able to understand each other and benefit both parties. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct research to find out how musical creativity develops through think-pair-share type cooperative models This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type using the Miles and Huberman analysis model, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The object in this study is interpersonal intelligence and musical creativity. The subject of this study was determined by purpossive sampling technique with criteria for participating in musical drama courses in 2023 consisting of 12 people. Data collection is carried out using techniques in depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation of works so that they will be validated using triangulation techniques. The results of this study explain that musical creativity will emerge in line with the situation needed in drama, including collaboration between modern music with tambourine and gambus, modern music with gamelan and ethnic flute. In addition, this think-pair-share type cooperative model allows students to better understand each other and process music in accordance with existing human resources.

Abstract

The existence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools still offers many benefits and advantages. Various  AI tools in the music field such as Soundful, AIVA, Ecrett Music, and Boomy have been proven to help produce a composition but reap pros and cons around copyright as well as the creative process of the creator. This research aims to find out how to use AI in music learning without eliminating creativity or essence from creating a work. This study uses a qualitative approach, namely exploratory research with a type of case study using the Miles and Huberman analysis model, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The object of this study is AIVA as one of the AI products in the field of music. The subjects of this study are 30 students in grade IX of SMP SMPN 6 Yogyakarta. Data collection using in depth interview techniques, non-participant observations, and documentation so that it will be validated using triangulation techniques. Meanwhile, secondary data sources are obtained through documentation in the form of product results using AI. The results of this study state that learning using AI also emphasizes students' skills in the aspect of musical ability from the Music Aptitude Profile (MAP) by Gordon, namely tonal imagery (melody and harmony), rhythm imagery (tempo and meter), and musical sensitivity (phrasing, balance, and style). The learning results obtained produce more creative and harmonious songs because they provide direct experience related to the sensitivity of tone to chords and rhythms produced by AIVA.

Abstract

This service activity aims to improve the competence of the Gejog Lesung Surontoko group through art training to support the Argomulyo Village cultural village pilot program. The method of implementing the service activity uses discussions, demonstrations, imitations, and drills. Data of this activity are collected using observation, interviews, and focus group discussion and are analyzed interactively. The results of this service activity show that members of the Gejog Lesung Surontokan art group have skills and insight in arranging songs in the form of rhythmic variations and voice harmonization by singers. In addition, a video work has been produced which can be used as a portfolio for managing cultural master numbers.

Abstract

Learning outcomes are changes in behavior that involve affective, cognitive, and psychomotor. The scientific approach has stages, namely observing, questioning, gathering information and communicating. The importance of a learner-centered approach and emphasizes the ability to think to improve learning outcomes in the cognitive aspects of cultural arts (music) material. This study aims to determine the effect of the scientific approach on the cognitive aspects of solo vocal singing material. The place used in this research is SMPN 14 Yogyakarta. The research method used is quantitative research method with experimental research type. The experimental research design used was One Group Pretest-posttest Design. Sampling using Cluster Sampling technique with a total of 57 samples. The research instrument is a learning outcome test. Data analysis used in this study using paired t-test. The results of the Paired t-test analysis obtained the value of t (12.54 ) t table (2.00) and the significance value (0,00) 0.05, so that Ha there is an influence of the scientific approach on the learning outcomes of vocal solo material significantly in class 9th at SMP N 14 Yogyakarta is accepted. The results of the pretest and posttest showed an increase in the average score of 41.3%. Based on the results of this analysis, the scientific approach has an effect on the learning outcomes of cognitive aspects of solo vocal singing material significantly on grade IX students at SMP N14 Yogyakarta.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan pengaruh reward dan punishment terhadap motivasi belajar seni musik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif deskriptif, dengan jumlah sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa-siswi SMP Negeri 1 Pandaan Pasuruan sebanyak 76 siswa dari populasi sebanyak 325 siswa. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif dan juga uji regresi linear sederhana. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan angket dengan skala likert yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Dari hasil analisis statistik deskriptif rata-rata motivasi belajar siswa berada pada kategori tinggi, sedangkan rata-rata penerimaan reward dan punishment berada pada kategori sedang. Dari hasil uji regresi linear sederhana menunjukkan bahwa metode reward dan punishment memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap motivasi belajar siswa dalam materi seni musik di SMP Negeri 1 Pandaan Pasuruan. Hal ini didukung dengan adanya hasil t hitung > t tabel (5,168 > 1,692) dan f hitung > f tabel (26,707 > 4, 144). Sedangkan dari R Square sebesar 0,447 membuktikan bahwa reward dan punishment mempengaruhi motivasi belajar sebesar 44,7%.Kata kunci: reward dan punishment, motivasi belajar, seni musik The purpose of this research is to describe the effect of reward and punishment on motivation to learn music art. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative. The sample used in this research was 76 students of Pandaan Pasuruan Public Middle School 1 from a population of 325 students. The analysis used in this research is using descriptive statistical analysis and simple linear regression test. Data collection uses a questionnaire with a Likert scale that has been tested for validity and reliability. From the results of the descriptive statistical analysis, the average student learning motivation is in the high category, while the average acceptance of rewards and punishment is in the medium category. The results of the simple linear regression test show that the reward and punishment method has a significant effect on student motivation in the art of music at SMP Negeri 1 Pandaan Pasuruan. This is supported by the results of t count > t table (5.168 > 1.692) and f count > f table (26.707 > 4.144). Meanwhile, the R Square of 0.447 proves that reward and punishment affect learning motivation by 44.7%.keywords: reward and punishment, motivation to learn, music art

Abstract

Kesenian berfungsi sebagai media pendidikan dan pelajaran, yang  didalamnya tersimpan nilai-nilai pendidikan dan nilai-nilai luhur dan pesan moralyang bermanfaat untuk menjalani kehidupan di dunia serta bekal di akhirat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan nilai religius dalamseni shalawat Badui Sawung Galing di Dusun Gandok Kapanewon Ngemplak Kabupaten Sleman. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metodepenelitian kualitatif objek penelitian ini Seni Shalawat Badui Sawung Galing di Dusun Gandok Kapanewon Ngemplak Kabupaten Sleman. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu pelatih, pelaku seni, Seni Shalawat Badui Sawung Galing dan sesepuhnya. Data dikumpulkan melalui catatan lapangan,observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis konten. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam analisis konten melaluitahapan validasi analisis data, validasai data mengunakan triangulasi teknik, sedangkan analisis data mengunakan pengurangan data, analisis. Hasil penelitian Nilai pendidikan karakter yang terkandung dalam Seni Shalawat Badui Sawung Galing di Dusun Gandok Kapanewon NgemplakKabupaten Sleman sangat membantu pembentukan karakter anak-anak dusun Gandok dan masyarakat dusun Gandok. Ada lima dimensi dari nilai religius pada seni shalawat Badui Sawung Galing yaitu aspek keyakinan, aspek peribadatan, aspek penghayatan, aspek pengetahuan dan aspekpengalaman, yang terdapat dalam syair, tari, alat musik, tata rias dan busana.Art and culture have functions as educational and instructional media, which provides educational and educational values and wholesome moral messages for living in the world and for the afterlife. The purpose of this research is to describe the religious values within the art of Shalawat Badui Sawung Galing in the village of Gandok, Ngemplak Sub-district, Sleman Regency. This research uses a qualitative research method which elaborates the Art of Shalawat Badui Sawung Galing in the village of Gandok, Ngemplak Sub-district, Sleman Regency as the object of the study. The subjects of this research are the trainers, art performers, the Art of Shalawat Badui Sawung Galing, and the elders. The research data was collected through field notes, observation, interviews, and documentation. Furthermore, this study employed content analysis. The data analysis technique utilized in content of analysis involved data validation stages and data validation through triangulation technique, while the data analysis was done through data reduction and analysis. The research findings reveal that the character education values embodied in the Art of Shalawat Badui Sawung Galing in the village of Gandok, Ngemplak Sub-district, Sleman Regency greatly contribute to the character formation of children and the community in Gandok village. There are five dimensions of religious values present in the art of Shalawat Badui Sawung Galing, namely belief aspects, worship aspects, appreciation aspects, knowledge aspects, and experience aspects, which are embodied in the lyrics, dance, musical instruments, make-up, and costumes.

Abstract

Kelompok Kor PKK Kalurahan Panembahan, Kemantren Kraton, Kota Yogyakarta adalah komunitas ibu-ibu yang aktif dalam kegiatan seni musik khususnya bernyanyi paduan suara. Sebagian besar peserta memiliki keterampilan vokal dasar, pemahaman ritme, dan pengetahuan tentang melodi; namun, mereka menghadapi masalah dengan teknik vokal seperti pernapasan, artikulasi, resonansi, dan kontrol dinamik. Ada beberapa peserta yang terus menggantungkan suara mereka pada pita vokal atas secara berlebihan, yang mengakibatkan kelelahan vokal dan kehilangan kualitas suara di puncak nada. Kondisi ini menjadi alasan dilakukannya penyuluhan seni untuk memberikan pelatihan teknik vokal dari akademisi, yaitu dosen dan mahasiswa. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan peserta dalam teknik bernyanyi, yang mencakup elemen pernapasan, intonasi, artikulasi, resonansi, dan interpretasi lagu. Pelatihan partisipatif digunakan melalui praktik langsung, pendampingan intensif, dan evaluasi kinerja individu dan kelompok. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam kemampuan vokal, kepercayaan diri, dan kekompakan kelompok. Dengan harmonisasi yang lebih baik, peserta dapat menampilkan lagu daerah dan nasional, termasuk tampil pada peringatan Hari Kemerdekaan 17 Agustus di Kemantren Kraton. Program ini selain meningkatkan kemampuan bernyanyi Kelompok Kor PKK Kalurahan Panembahan, juga meningkatkan partisipasi sosial dan kebersamaan masyarakat. The PKK Group Kelurahan Panembahan, Kemantren Kraton, Yogyakarta City, is a community of mothers who are active in musical arts activities, particularly in choir singing. Most participants had basic vocal skills, an understanding of rhythm, and knowledge of melody. However, they faced issues with vocal techniques such as breathing, articulation, resonance, and dynamic control. There were some participants who consistently relied excessively on their upper vocal cords, resulting in vocal fatigue and loss of voice quality at the high notes. This condition prompted the organization of art counseling sessions to provide vocal technique training led by academics, including lecturers and students. The purpose of this activity is to improve participants' singing techniques, which include elements of breathing, intonation, articulation, resonance, and song interpretation. Participatory training is used through hands-on practice, intensive mentoring, and individual and group performance evaluation. The results of the activity show a significant improvement in vocal ability, self-confidence, and group cohesion. Better harmonization makes participants perform regional and national songs very well with their prominent performance on August 17th, the Independence Day commemoration at the Kraton District. The result indicates that the program not only increases social participation and community togetherness but also improves the singing abilities of the PKK Group of Panembahan Village.

Abstract

Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (DIY) mencapai indeks literasi tertinggi di Indonesia, dengan nilai IPLM atau Indeks Pembangunan Literasi Masyarakat 83,39 (2024), jauh di atas rata-rata nasional 73,52 pada tahun 2024. Namun, berdasarkan survei Badan Pusat Statistik masih banyak daerah yang indeks literasinya di bawah rata-rata. Perlunya gambaran pembelajaran di DIY agar menjadi contoh bagi daerah dengan tingkat literasi yang rendah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh penggunaan lagu daerah dalam P5 terhadap literasi budaya dan literasi musik. Metode kuantitatif dengan desain kuasi-eksperimental digunakan, melibatkan 60 siswa dari sekolah menengah atas di Yogyakarta, dibagi rata menjadi kelompok eksperimen (menggunakan lagu daerah) dan kelompok kontrol (menggunakan lagu populer). Perawatan terdiri dari empat sesi yang berfokus pada eksplorasi musik, analisis, aransemen, dan pertunjukan. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang divalidasi yang mengukur literasi budaya dan literasi musik, dan dianalisis menggunakan Multivariate Analysis of Variance (MANOVA). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pengaruh yang signifikan dari pembelajaran berbasis lagu rakyat baik terhadap literasi budaya (sig = 0,025) maupun literasi musik (sig = 0,011), dengan efek simultan yang dikonfirmasi oleh Lambda Wilks (sig = 0,027). Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa mengintegrasikan warisan musik lokal ke dalam pembelajaran berbasis proyek meningkatkan kesadaran budaya, keterampilan musik, dan pengembangan karakter kolaboratif siswa, sejalan dengan tujuan kurikulum P5. Penelitian ini menyoroti potensi edukasi lagu daerah sebagai media yang bermakna untuk pembelajaran yang kontekstual dan berorientasi pada literasi budaya dan literasi musik.
