Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of price and store atmosphere on repurchase decisions, with customer satisfaction as a moderating variable among Beocca Coffee consumers in Malang Regency. A quantitative explanatory approach was employed, involving 130 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected via an online questionnaire and analyzed using Partial Least Square–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results show that price, store atmosphere, and customer satisfaction have a positive and significant effect on repurchase decisions. However, customer satisfaction was not proven to moderate the relationship between price and repurchase decisions, nor between store atmosphere and repurchase decisions. These findings indicate that price and store atmosphere influence repurchase decisions directly, regardless of customer satisfaction levels. The practical implication is that coffee shop managers should focus on offering competitive prices and creating a pleasant store atmosphere. Although customer satisfaction does not act as a moderator, it remains a crucial direct factor affecting loyalty. Future studies are encouraged to expand the research scope geographically and include additional variables such as customer loyalty, perceived quality, or digital marketing strategies to deepen the understanding of repurchase behavior in the local coffee shop industry.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of quality of work life on employee performance with job satisfaction as a mediating variable for employees at the Lowokwaru District Office, Malang City. Quality of work life is one of the important factors that can influence employee satisfaction and performance in a bureaucratic work environment. This study uses a quantitative approach with an explanatory research type to explain the causal relationship between variables. The population in this study were all 37 employees of the Lowokwaru District Office, and all of them were used as research samples through a total sampling technique. Data collection techniques were carried out through distributing questionnaires, direct interviews, and observations to obtain more comprehensive and in-depth data. Data analysis was carried out using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method based on Partial Least Square (SmartPLS) to test the structural model and research hypotheses. The results showed that quality of work life had a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction and employee performance. Job satisfaction was also proven to have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. In addition, job satisfaction was proven to significantly mediate the relationship between quality of work life and employee performance. Thus, these findings reinforce the importance of creating a supportive, fair work environment that provides a work-life balance to enhance job satisfaction and encourage overall employee performance. The implications of this research suggest that government agency management, particularly at the sub-district level, needs to prioritize efforts to improve the quality of work life as a strategy to encourage optimal employee performance. Improving aspects such as working conditions, participation in decision-making, career development, and work-life balance should be prioritized in managerial policies.

Abstract

This study aims to empirically analyze the influence of product quality and service quality on customer satisfaction, with purchase decisions as a mediating variable, specifically among Alfamart consumers in the Singosari area, Malang Regency. The background of this research stems from the increasing competition in the modern retail sector, which requires companies to understand the key factors influencing customer satisfaction and loyalty. In this context, product quality and service quality are considered essential elements that shape customer perceptions and influence their purchasing decisions. A quantitative approach with an explanatory research design was used in this study. The sample was selected using purposive sampling, involving 97 respondents who had made purchases at Alfamart at least twice within the last three months. Data collection was conducted through the distribution of structured questionnaires, which included items measuring perceptions of product quality, service quality, purchase decisions, and customer satisfaction. The data were analyzed using the Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method to examine the relationships among variables comprehensively and simultaneously. The results of the analysis show that both product quality and service quality have a significant and positive effect on purchase decisions and customer satisfaction. Moreover, purchase decisions are proven to significantly mediate the influence of both product and service quality on customer satisfaction. This indicates that the purchase decision acts as a crucial mechanism linking the effect of quality to overall satisfaction. These findings contribute theoretically to the consumer behavior literature in the modern retail context and offer practical implications for retail management, such as Alfamart. Retailers are encouraged to focus on improving both product offerings and service delivery as strategic efforts to enhance customer experience. By doing so, they can effectively increase customer satisfaction and strengthen customer loyalty in the long term.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of workload on burnout, with job stress as a mediating variable, on permanent employees at the Malang Customer Service Unit (UP3) of PT. PLN (Persero). This study is motivated by the increasing work demands in the public service and energy sectors, which can have an impact on increasing employee burnout. The method used in this study is quantitative, with all 180 permanent employees of PT. PLN (Persero) UP3 Malang as the population. Based on the Slovin formula, the number of samples was determined at 96 respondents. Data analysis was carried out using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) with the help of SmartPLS software. The results of the analysis show that workload has a positive and significant effect on burnout. In addition, workload is also proven to have a positive and significant effect on job stress. Job stress also significantly affects burnout. Most importantly, this study proves that job stress significantly mediates the relationship between workload and burnout. This means that a high workload will increase stress levels, ultimately leading to burnout in employees. The practical implication of this research is the need for PT. PLN (Persero) UP3 Malang to focus not only on workload management but also on developing effective stress management strategies. Theoretically, this research contributes to the development of the Job Demands-Resources model, particularly in clarifying the mediating role of job stress on burnout.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of financial compensation and non-financial compensation on employee performance with job satisfaction as a moderating variable . The approach in this study is a quantitative approach. This research strategy uses an associative strategy, which is based on the characteristics of the main research problem. The population of the study was all employees of KPP Pratama in Malang City, consisting of KPP Pratama Malang Utara and KPP Pratama Malang Selatan with a total of 154 employees. Determination of the number of samples used the Slovin formula of 61 employees. The sampling technique used in this study was proportionate stratified random sampling. The structural equation modeling of the study used Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS version 4.0 to analyze the data . The results showed that better financial compensation was able to encourage increased employee performance. Better non-financial compensation was able to encourage increased employee performance. Although job satisfaction was getting stronger, it was not able to encourage increased employee performance. Job Satisfaction is able to play a role in purely moderating the influence of Financial Compensation on Employee Performance. Job Satisfaction is able to play a role in purely moderating the influence of Non-Financial Compensation on Employee Performance.

Abstract

Research on Segmentation, Targeting, and Positioning (STP) strategies, customer satisfaction, and customer loyalty is still very limited, especially in Timor-Leste. This study aims to analyze the Segmentation, Targeting, and Positioning (STP) strategies implemented by Timor Plaza that affect consumer loyalty, which is mediated by consumer satisfaction. The population in this study were consumers, whose number is not known for certain. The determination of respondents was based on Lemeshow's theory, resulting in a total of 96 respondents. Respondents who will be the research subjects were determined using accidental sampling. The data analysis technique used statistical software; Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Based on the results of the path analysis, it can be concluded that the segmentation strategy at Timor Plaza Mall is not yet effective because it does not have a significant influence on consumer satisfaction and loyalty. Targeting and positioning strategies are proven to have a positive and significant influence on consumer satisfaction and loyalty. Consumer satisfaction plays an important role in forming loyalty, indicating that a satisfying shopping experience strengthens emotional attachment and consumer behavior. The mediation results indicate the existence of complex dynamics in the mediation of satisfaction: there is no mediation between segmentation and loyalty, there is negative mediation in the relationship between targeting and loyalty, and inconsistent mediation in the relationship between positioning and loyalty, this indicates that direct and indirect influences can move in different directions. This study contributes valuable insights into the effectiveness of STP strategies in the context of Timor-Leste, especially within the retail sector, which has seen limited academic focus.
