Abstract

Socialization and training in making water filter devices with activated carbon for household purposes, 1Widya Mulya, 2Maslina, 3Lina Yuliana, University of Balikpapan, Pupuk Raya Street Gunung Bahagia, Balikpapan City, the burden of impurities on the river increases, resulting in an increase in the processing burder on water tratment plants, so that the quality of water received by the community sometimes decreases such as smelly, colored and turbid, so community service is conducted regarding the socialization and training of water purifier manufacture with activated carbon media household designation. The lecture method was chosen to provide an explanation, the question and answer method is very important for participants both when receiving an explanation and understanding, this simulation method is very important given to participants to provide opportunities to practice the lecture material obtained on how to make activated carbon from a coconut shell, how to manufacture a water filter equipped with activated carbon for household purposes. The results of the manufacture of activated carbon include containers/ cans on the lid are given a few holes, coconut shell as raw meterial for making activated carbon cleaned from fibers, burn containers/ cans containing coconut shell (which is tightly closed) until the embers of combustion are almost gone. the results of the manufacture of water purification equipment, using a 600 ml drink bottle was given a hole for the inlet and outlet of water, at the bottom inserted 5 cm thick a activated carbon then covered by a 5 cm thick cotton layer. In this activity in charcoal can be done by boiling, for the thickness of the media if thicker will make the water quality clearer. Keywords: Water Purifier, Activated Carbon, Household.

Abstract

The high population growth rate results in an increase in the volume of waste. So far, most people still view waste as useless waste, not as a resource that needs to be utilized. According to SNI 19-3964-1994, municipal solid waste generation is 2 – 2,5 Liters/person/day or 0,4 – 0,5 kg/person/day, small town waste generation is 1,5 – 2 Liters/person/day or 0,3 – 0,4 kg/person/day, the waste generation for large/ metroppolitan cities is greater that 3 Liters/person/day (Center for Resettlement Research an Developmen, 2010). With the reduce, reuse, recycle (3R) program, the amount of waste generation can be reduced. To implement 3R based waste management, the waste reduction process begins with waste sorting. Sorting handling activities according to the type and nature. Based in data from the Balikpapan City Environmental Service, the averange waste production from January 2018 to May 2018 reached 344,73 tons/day. The program for sorting and processing waste from sources is still limited, in Gunung Bahagia Village the success rate has only reached 60%. Waste sorting based on characteristics, the importance of providing understanding and application of waste sorting to the community as a waste producer. Waste sorting is the first step taken to reduce the level of waste in the TPA. Waste sorting should be carried out from waste produciing sources. Waste sorting is carried out based on waste characteristics. Garbage has the characteristics of being easily biogefradable or what is called organic waste, it takes a long tim (years, decades, hundreds of years) to decompose or what is called inorganic waste, waste of hazardous and toxic materials. By sorting waste based on cheracteristics, waste processing can run effectively and efficiently, has econimic value and environmental sustainability. Organic waste has economic value from processing in the form of compost. Inorganic waste has economic value, because this type of waste can be reused and recycled. For hazardous and toxic waste materials, the sorting can reduce environmentals pollution, considering that this type of waste is very easy to react.

Abstract

Covid19 socialization and social serviceactivities are community service activities in an effort to help people filfill their life needs and solve the community problems by especially indealing withCOVID19 transmission activities are carried out through the Covid19 socialization and social service program which is a communityservice-based activity to increase public knowledge concerning effort to break the chain of Covid19 transmission carried out in RT 2, 3 and 4 of Sepinggan Raya District, Balikpapan City with service methods in the form of counseling activities, demonstrations, distribution of masks and basic necessities and spraying Disenfektan in residential areas. The results showed a positive response from the government and active participation of community.

Abstract

Soekarno Hatta Road is one of the road shaft beetween Balikpapan and Samarinda which has 119 kilometres long. This road is province roads that had been through out or passed by with typical heavy and light vehicles which has high intensity accident level. This research is aimed to devise factor and characteristic of accidents along Sokearno Hatta roads from zero kilometres until 13th kilometres. This research begun with roads survey observation and secondary data collection including with roads accidents documents for the pass 3 years.( which is in years of 2015 – 2017). Data analysis prepared with calculating numbers of accidents using formula EAN (Equivalent Accidents Number) and UCL Method (Upper Control Limit) for determination area with high risk accidents (Black Spot). Anatomy Accidents Data Documents were enumerated to analyze in that specified area. That can be conclude that the numbers of accidents on Soekarno Hatta Street from zero kilometres until 13th kilometreswith EAN method i.g : more than 84 times bigger different from UCL value i.g: 43,3. Accidents that was happened in the mornings at weekdays Monday to Friday which were implicate 2 motorcycles and passenger in fifthteen till twenty years old students (boys).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui luas ruang parkir sepeda motor yang tersedia untuk memenuhi kebutuhan dan manajemen keselamatan parkir sepeda motor di Universitas Balikpapan. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian survei yaitu dengan melakukan pengamatan langsung untuk mendapatkan data penelitian. Survei dilakukan selama 3 hari dalam seminggu yaitu pada hari Senin, Kamis dan Jumat pada pada jam 16.30 – 21.00, untuk menghitung akumulasi, volume, durasi,dan Turnover parkir sehingga didapatkan indeks parkir dan kebutuhan parkir. Hasil penelitian ini didapat Akumulasi parkir maksimum 1.290 kendaraan sepeda motor dengan akumulasi rata-rata sebesar 694 kendaraan/jam. Durasi rata-rata sepeda motor 447 kendaraan/jam, volume parkir maksimum 2512 sepeda motor, Parking Turn Over (PTO) sebesar 0,57 kendaraan/petak/jam, Indeks Parkir maksimum motor sebesar 106,61 %. dan ketersediaan parkir kendaraan sepeda motor rata-rata sebesar 13 kendaraan. Kebutuhan parkir 1290 SRP melebihi petak parkir yang tersedia yaitu 1210 SRP, sehingga dibutuhkan tambahan sebesar 80 SRP atau penambahan lahan parkir sebesar 135 m2 , sehingga lahan parkir keseluruhan yang harus tersedia sebesar 3.044,54 m2. Manajemen keselamatan parkir dari hasil analisis survey dapat diterapkan dari aspek kendaraan dilihat dari kelengkapan peralatan keamanan kendaraan dan langkah-langkah pengamanannya; pengelolaan parkir dilihat dari segi pelayanan, pengawasan, penempatan kendaraan (pola parkir 90o) dan akses jalur evakuasi bila terjadi hal-hal darurat (ruang gerak kendaraan yang aman); serta dari segi desain Rambu dan Marka Jalan yang sesuai Keputusan Menteri Perhubungan KM 61 1993 dan Pencahayaan tempat parkir yang mengacu pada standar SNI 7391:2008.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui biaya operasional kapal klotok dalam memenuhi keselamatan penumpang pada transportasi air di Pelabuhan Penyebrangan Balikpapan-Penajam.dan untuk mengetahui berapa besar biaya penerapan keselamatan transportasi untuk kapal kayu atau klotok dibandingkan dengan biaya operasional kapal. Metode yang digunakan adalah Metode kuantitatif dengan melakukan analisis perhitungan berdasarkan data primer dengan meninjau langsung kondisi objek penelitian berupa kelengkapan alat keselamatan dan prosedur keselamatan transportasi air yang digunakan dan wawancara dengan motoris serta penumpang kapal klotok tersebut. Kemudian dianalisa berapa biaya operasional yang dikeluarkan oleh kapal klotok dan berapa besar biaya untuk menyediakan alat keselamatan penumpang maupun keselamatan transportasi air, sehingga terlihat, apakah dengan menambah biaya penyediaan alat keselamatan transportasi air tidak lebih besar dari biaya operasional dibandingkan dengan pendapatan transportasi air atau kapal klotok.

Abstract

PT. Intipratama Bandar Kariangau merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang supply base dan pergudangan. Namun dalam perkembangan nya ternyata ruang parkir yang tersedia pada area perusahaan belum mencukupi, dikarenakan pada area tersebut sering terjadi aktifitas keluar masuk kendaraan sehingga meningkatkan jumlah volume kendaraan pada daerah tersebut. Berdasarkan hasil observasi di PT. Intipratama Bandar kariangau yang dilakukan pada bulan mei 2019, kapasitas ruang parkir yang tersedia saat ini adalah sebesar 30 SRP (Satuan Ruang Parkir) untuk kendaraan roda 4 dan 10 SRP untuk kendaraan roda 6. Akan tetapi dari hasil survei dan pengolahan data dengan menghitung karakteristik parkir diperoleh kebutuhan ruang parkir.Nilai indeks parkir maksimum kendaraan roda 4 terjadi pada hari Rabu sebesar 1,47% (pukul 15.30–15.45 wita). Adapun nilai indeks yang lebih dari 1 berarti fasilitas parkir bermasalah, dimana kebutuhan parkir melebihi kapasitas ruang parkir yang tersedia. Kata Kunci :Parkir diluar badan jalan, Karakteristik parkir, indeks parkir. PT. Intipratama Bandar Kariangau is a company engaged in the jetty and warehousing. But in its development it turns out that the available parking space in the company area is not sufficient, because in that area often occurs in and out of the vehicle activities thereby increasing the number of vehicle volumes in the area. Based on observations at PT. Intipratama Bandar Kariangau conducted in May 2019, the current available parking space capacity is 30 parking space for 4-wheel vehicles and 10 parking space for 6-wheeled vehicles. However, from the results of surveys and data processing by calculating the characteristics of parking obtained the actual parking space requirement for 4 wheel vehicles of 44 parking space and 11 parking space for 6 wheel vehicles. Where the value of the maximum parking index for 4-wheeled vehicles occurs on wednesday at 1.47% (15:30 - 15:45). The index value is more than 1 means that parking facilities are problematic, where parking requirements exceed the available parking space. On street parking conditions are dominated by 4-wheel vehicles because most of the four-wheeled vehicles use parking spaces with medium term parking duration. Abstract

Sistem jaringan distribusi umumnya merupakan suatu jaringan pemipaan yang tersusun atas sistem pipa, pompa, reservoir dan perlengkapan lainnya dengan sistem pengolahan dan sistem jaringan yang ada, PDAM Balikpapan diharapkan mampu untuk memenuhi kebutuhan air bersih masyarakat yang ada di Jalan Pembangunan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah debit yang ada pada reservoir di Jalan Pembangunan ini mencukupi untuk melayani masyarakat di Jalan Pembangunan. Tahapan dari penyelesaian analisis ini yaitu terlebih dahulu mengumpulkan data primer maupun sekunder dari PDAM Balikpapan. Tahapan berikutnya adalah menghitung debit dan kebutuhan air bersih. Dari hasil perhitungan diperoleh kebutuhan air bersih sebanyak 595.000 liter/hari dengan jumlah pelanggan sebanyak 3.500 jiwa. Adapun besarnya kapasitas beban puncak (kebutuhan air pada jam maksimum) sebesar 0,004002 m3/detik. Sedangkan kapasitas reservoir yang ada sebesar 275 m3. Sedangkan yang dibutuhkan dalam sehari sebesar 345,7728 m3. The distribution network system is generally a piping network consisting of a system of pipes, pumps, reservoirs and other equipment. With the existing treatment system and network system, PDAM Balikpapan is expected to be able to meet the clean water needs of the community on Jalan Pembangunan. The purpose of this study was to determine whether the existing discharge in the reservoir on Jalan Pembangunan is sufficient to serve the community on Jalan Pembangunan. The stages of completing this analysis are first to collect primary and secondary data from PDAM Balikpapan. The next stage is to calculate the discharge and the need for clean water. From the calculation results, the need for clean water is 595,000 liters/day with a total of 3,500 customers. The peak load capacity (water demand at maximum hour) is 0.004002 m3/second. Meanwhile, the existing reservoir capacity is 275 m3. While what is needed in a day is 345.7728 m3

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis perkembangan proyek dan melakukan pengendalian waktu pada proyek pembangunan Puskesmas Margomulyo. Selain itu juga untuk mengidentifikasi keterlambatan yang terjadi pada proyek tersebut. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah CPM dan PERT. Dengan menggunakan data berupa time schedule, RAB, dan laporan per-minggu, didapatkan hasil bahwa langkah yang dilakukan yaitu perhitungan maju, perhitungan mundur, dan total float. Hasilnya Durasi Optimal Proyek Pembangunan Puskesmas Margomulyo yaitu 187 hari dari waktu normal 210 hari dengan probabilitas keberhasilan sebesar 96,86%. Total biaya dengan durasi optimal sekian yaitu sebesar Rp. 1.948.959.866,80 dari Rp. 1.931.105.173,95. The purpose of this research is to analyze the progress of the project and control the time in the Margomulyo Community Health Center development project. In addition, to identify delays that occur in the project. The method used in this study is CPM and PERT. By using data in the form of time schedule, RAB, and reports per week, the results obtained that the steps taken are forward calculations, backwards calculations, and total float. The result is the Optimal Duration of the Margomulyo Community Health Center Development Project, which is 187 days from the normal 210 days with probabilities 96,86%. The total cost with the optimal duration is Rp. 1,948,959,866.80 from Rp. 1.931.105.173,95.

Abstract

Simpang Jalan Manunggal - MT. Haryono di Kecamatan Balikpapan Selatan merupakan salah satu titik rawan banjir di Kota Balikpapan apabila hujan turun dengan intensitas yang tinggi. Pada penelitian ini dilakukannya analisis sistem drainase dan analisis hidrologi bertujuan untuk menghitung debit rencana banjir menggunakan metode rasional. Dengan curah hujan rencana untuk periode ulang 10 tahun menggunakan metode gumbel sebesar 648,99 mm. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, perlu adanya perencanaan sistem drainase baru dan perlunya pemeliharaan dan pembersihan drainase dari sampah dan sedimentasi. The traffic lights intersection of street Manunggal in South Balikpapan District is on of the flood-prone points in Balikpapan City if it rain so hard to get high intensity. In this research, analysis of the drainage system and hydrological purpose to calculation Rational flood Method. And so far to planned rainfall for a return period of 10 years using the Gumbel Method of 648,99 mm. Based on the results of the analysis, it is necessary to plan a new drainage system and maintenance from garbage/sediment.
