Abstract

This research aims to determine the role of Indonesia's fast-paced action (ACT) in providing assistance to Rohingya ethnic in Myanmar in 2017-2019. During 2017-2019, Rohingya ethnic that remains and living in Burma had experienced a wide range of resettlement and discrimination. As a result they have difficulty in insufficient their needs.This research use the pluralism perspective which believes that states are not the only actors in international world. This research is also guided by theory of transnational activism. The method used is qualitative method. The data collection incorporates interviews and literature study from some journals, books, documents and websites. This research shows that during the year 2017-2019 the Indonesian fast-response action (ACT) has been instrumental in providing assistance to the Rohingya ethnic in Myanmar. Assistance in the form of food aid, drug assistance, residential tent assistance and support assistance. Keyword : Role, ACT,  Rohingya ethnic , ethnic conflict

Abstract

This research is intended to describe and to explain the motivation of Indonesia establishing cooperation with Malaysia in The Council Of Palm Oil Producing Countries (CPOPC). CPOPC was made to shift from competitive relation to cooperation between member countries. While Indonesia has the advantage in the market and production of Crude Palm Oil (CPO), Malaysia has been a tough competitor.In order to explain and to answer the research question,in this paper the researcher used the neoliberalism perspective. The main idea of neoliberalism is that the national interest among countries, especially when there are similarity in values, can lead to cooperation. Furthermore, the theory that the researcher used is cooperation theory.The Researcher has provided explanations why Indonesia establish a cooperation with Malaysia in The Council Of Palm Oil Producing Countries (CPOPC). Competitive relation with Malaysia has always been filled with frictions, worsen by the image of Indonesian palm oil plantation is ruining the environment. Abstract

This research describes the impacts of sister city cooperation between the City of DKI Jakarta and the City of Berlin, especially the impacts that occurred in 2016-2019, these impacts are related to areas of agreement that have been agreed in the MoU which contains cooperation in the field of Urban Planning, Transportation. General City, Drinking Water and Wastewater Treatment, Housing Development Planning, Economy and Culture. Jakarta's sister city cooperation with Berlin has been established for 25 years, during which time there have also been many activities carried out related to agreed fields for the advancement of the two cities. In this research, the resulting impacts focus on the city of DKI Jakarta as a city that absorbs more knowledge and direct or indirect assistance provided by the City Government of Berlin.             This research uses the theory of international cooperation to see the form of cooperation between Jakarta and Berlin in the form of a sister city. Then this research uses a pluralism perspective, supported by nation-state level analysis and uses the theory of cooperation measurement indicators.            The impacts that have resulted from the collaboration between Jakarta and Berlin are in the form of input or second opinion related to the development of each agreed area. The activities carried out in each field are in the form of workshops, exhibitions, expert visits from Berlin, placement of experts from Belrin, but from these 6 fields there is one field that does not work, namely in the field of Wastewater Treatment because there are already collaborations with other cities. Overall the cooperation carried out by the two cities runs effectively because most of these fields have been carried out activities that are used for the progress of the city, especially the City of Jakarta.Keywords: Sister City, Impact, Jakarta, Berlin, City Development, International Cooperation.

Abstract

This research aims to explain the role of Greenpeace International in handling cases of mercury exposure that occurred in Kodaikanal, India. Mercury poisoning at Kodaikanal is a case of mercury contamination that occurred at the Kodaikanal hill station carried out by Hindustan Unilever in the process of making a mercury thermometer for export worldwide.Research data obtained from books, journals, official documents, theses and websites. The researcher uses the perspective of pluralism and analyzes the role of international organizations. The research method used is qualitative data obtained from the literature relating to the research topic.The results of this study indicate that Greenpeace International has an important role in handling this case of mercury exposure. First, Greenpeace International forced Unilever to temporarily suspend the factory operations after working with the Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board (TNPCB). Second, Greenpeace International helps provide facilities during the process of investigating and cleaning up waste at Kodaikanal. Third, Greenpeace International requests that the Indian government sue Unilever for its negligence and force Unilever to clean up mercury waste at Kodaikanal. Abstract

This research aims to determine the role of ending the sexual exploitation of children (ECPAT) in handling cases of commercial sexual exploitation of children (CSEC) in Indonesia. In an increasingly modern world and easy transportation around the world makes CSEC cases more complex. The high number of child sexual exploitation cases in Indonesia has caused ECPAT Indonesia, as part of an international organization that focuses on handling child sexual exploitation, to take on the role of carrying out various programs and cases with government and non-government agencies to tackle CSEC problems.This study aims to find out how the role played by ECPAT in dealing with CSEC cases in Indonesia in 2017 – 2019. This study uses the theory of the role of International Organizations and qualitative research methods with library research techniques, namely utilizing secondary data obtained through literature studies that get from various literatures such as books, journals, bulletins, newspapers, annual reports of several related agencies, documents, or other materials that support research.ECPAT in tackling the exploitation of child sexuality has a strategy in carrying out its programs, namely advocacy, network building, and outreach to the community. The roles that have been carried out by ECPAT is conducting research or collecting data related to child exploitation, advocating to the government, training section with related institutions to be better prepared at deal with child sexual exploitation issues, and socialization such as campaigns, workshops, or education through courage. Keywords: Role, ECPAT, Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang kepentingan Amerika Serikat terlibat dalam konflik dualisme Presiden yang sedang terjadi di Venezuela saat ini. Kepentingan Amerika Serikat dalam krisis ini ialah ingin menjaga kendali atas negara penghasil minyak dan gas. Banyak kerja sama yang terjalin antar kedua Negara khususnya di sektor sumber daya energi.  Secara garis besar, Amerika Serikat terlibat dalam krisis yang terjadi di Venezuela saat ini menekankan kepada adanya struktur kepentingan dalam melihat fenomena hubungan internasional dalam lima dimensi. Kelima dimensi tersebut adalah militer, politik, lingkungan, ekonomi dan sosial. Dalam hal ini, Amerika Serikat menjalin hubungannya dengan Venezuela bertujuan untuk menjaga atau mengubah kondisi aktual tertentu. Turut campur tersebut dapat dilakukan dengan hak ataupun tidak, namun hal tersebut selalu mengenai kebebasan eksternal atau wilayah atau keunggulan negara lain, dan dari keseluruhan tersebut memiliki dampak yang penting untuk negara tersebut dalam posisi internasional.  Dibalik kebijakan luar negeri Amerika Serikat yang mendukung Juan Guaido sebagai Presiden Venezuela merupakan alasan dari kepentingan Amerika Serikat terlibat dalam konflik domestic Venezuela demi menjaga kepentingannya terkait eksplorasi sumber daya minyak serta melindungi asset-asset Amerika Serikat yang ada di Venezuela.  Kata Kunci: Amerika Serikat, Venezuela, Konflik, Sumber Daya Energi.

Abstract

The focus of this paper is to explain the impact of the IESF and IESPA collaboration on the development of esports in Indonesia. Esports is one of the upgrades in the field of sports. The rapid development of esports nowadays makes Indonesia cooperate with the aim of making structured developments in the field of esports in Indonesia. IESPA, which is the central organization of esports in Indonesia, has finally collaborated with IESF as an international organization in the field of esports.            This paper uses a pluralism perspective that focuses on the individual level of group analysis and international cooperation theory. By using the theory of international cooperation, this study aims to reveal the impact of IESF's collaboration with IESPA on the development of esports in Indonesia            This study shows that IESPA and the Indonesian government have a strong commitment to develop and advance esports in Indonesia through the collaboration formed with IESF. This is shown by collaborations such as joining IESPA to become a member of IESF, media consultants, event consultants and esports legalization. In the end, after the collaboration process, the impact felt by Indonesia in the development of esports was the full support of the government, normalization of esports in the community, and active participation by the community. Keywords: Partnership, IESF, IESPA, Esports

Abstract

This study aims to find out how the efforts of the UN Women International Organization through the HeForShe Campaign in realizing gender equality through the HeForShe campaign in Indonesia in 2016-2019. The issue of gender equality in Indonesia is still an issue that is still being discussed at this time. For this reason, UN Women and the Government of Indonesia cooperate in dealing with the issue of gender equality caused by the patriarchal culture and the negative stigma of society towards women.             This study uses the theory of the role of International Organizations, Feminism perspective and level of group analysis. Literature research method, which utilizes secondary data obtained through library research obtained from various literatures such as books, journals, e-mail, newspapers, annual reports of several relevant agencies, documents, or valid websites.             The results of this study indicate that the efforts made by UN Women through the HeForShe campaign create a Three ends program, Safe cities, increase women's awareness (public awareness), and increase women's participation in politics also create a work environment that is safe from discrimination.Keywords: Indonesia, HeForShe Campaign, Gender Equality, UN Women.

Abstract

This research describes Russia's interest in the 2018 FIFA World Cup. The World Cup is a sporting event that is highly awaited by many people because football is a popular sport around the world. Many countries are reaping the pros and cons of the 2018 FIFA World Cup held by Russia, especially the ability of Russia to become the host mega sports events.  This research was conducted by using a library research method where data and information were obtained from relevant sources of the problems by this research. The study will be analyzed with the perspective of realism, the theory of Jackson & Sorensen. The concept of national interest was brought by Donald E. Nuechterlein. The results of the research show that Russia has a national interest to be achieved by hosting the 2018 FIFA World Cup.   In terms of economy, The Russian government hopes that Russia will achieve the interests of either profit or revenue from tourist visits during the world cup and make Russia be a tourist destination of the country. In terms of politics, the government wants to increase the prestige of the country successfully. This opportunity was also used by the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin to improve his good image during his tenure in Russia.  Keywords : National Interest, World Cup, FIFA, Russia

Abstract

The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) is a legal entity under the Singapore Ministry of Trade and Industry. Development of Singapore's tourism sector, one of the service sectors and the country's main economic pillar, and conduct marketing and promotion of Singapore as a tourist destination. Singapore is stepping up its services to Muslim travelers with a major campaign to be launched. The purpose of the study is to explain and find out the development of halal tourism by the Singapore government to attract Indonesian Muslim tourists. The research method used is qualitative by connecting the causes and effects that occur using library research techniques. This study collects data through secondary data.The results of this study can be concluded that these places to eat get certification from MUIS (Majlis Ugama Islam Singapore). Tourists can easily visit Halal places to eat all over Singapore. In addition, there are also many mosques and prayer rooms throughout Singapore for visitors to worship while on vacation. This guide provides useful information for holidays in Singapore. The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) announced that it will be working with booking platform Have Halal Will Travel (HHWT) and research firm CrescentRating on a range of tourism products and marketing assurance targeting of Muslim Travelers across Asia.The STB with CrescentRating that details not only halal dining offerings in Singapore, but also the hidden cultural activities and local Malay entrepreneurs and business owners that tourists can discover, said Fazal Bahardeen, CEO of CrescentRating & Halaltrip.  Keywords: halal tourism, Singapore, Indonesian Muslim tourists
