Abstract

The research present describe the influence of implementation Special Economic Zone in Batam Bintan Karimun towards increase of tourism industry in Bintan Regency in 2012-2014. Special economic zone are dealed in 2007, before implementation special economic zone, Batam are the teritory that implemented of free trade zone. Implementation of special economic zone have purpose to increase a economic growth in teritory border especially for Batam Bintan Karimun.The research use the methode are qualitative methodes that analyze problem research by describe the subject and object conditions based on real fact. This research use location in Bintan Regency and researcher collect data from books, government regulation, journal, mass media, website. This research use neo liberalism perspective with the concept of tourism.The conclusion of this research are influence of implementation Special Economic Zone in Batam Bintan Karimun towards tourism in Bintan Regency are increase of transprotation in Bintan such as road, bridge and airport, and increase of investations value and international tourism event in integrated tourism Lagoi area likes Bintan Triathlon, Tour de Bintan, Fishing Festival and Bintan Mountain Trecking and Durian Party.Keywords: influence, implementation, special economic and tourism.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the development of the Japanese cultural sector which has undergone various policy changes since the Japanese era in building the empire, to the modern era where Japanese soft power is better known as 'cool japan'. Nowadays, the Japanese government is concerned about the cultural sector as well as military and economic interests.This research is theoretically built using a constructivist perspective, with the theory of public diplomacy. The formulation of all arguments, data, facts, and theoretical frameworks in this study uses a qualitative explanation method. This study also uses the nation-state as the level of analysis.This study aims to explain the form of Japanese cultural diplomacy carried out through The Japan Foundation. The Japan Foundation is an independent institution that is fully responsible for carrying out the objectives of Japanese cultural diplomacy overseas. Abstract

This study examines the role of imo in empowering women, especially in the Malaysian maritime community. Comprehensive maritime industry policies that can be adequately monitored to achieve competitive advantage are important. Malaysia's maritime industry is made up of multiple sectors regulated by fragmented government bodies. In this study, the researcher attempts to analyze the Malaysian maritime industry cluster which consists of three main sectors: Shipping, Ship Industry, Ports and Terminals.The Strength Indicator Model has been developed to reveal maritime industry clusters. The author finds that the factors of Competition, Location, Connection, Government, and Opportunity affect the ability of Malaysian maritime industry clusters. The result of this research is the existence of a framework for the Regulatory Body and various stakeholders to support the progress of the Malaysian maritime industry towards the development of a more competitive and sustainable industry with the aim of becoming a developed maritime country.The method used in this research is qualitative research with descriptive method. The level of analysis used is the level of analysis of the nation-state group, so that the perspective used is feminist and uses international organization theory.Keywords: Rule Theory, IMO, Feminist, Maritime Community.

Abstract

This study describes the efforts of the Riau Regional Police in preventing cases of transnational drug trafficking in the Riau Province, especially in the district of Bengkalis. The geographical condition of Riau Province, which consists of several islands close to the international waterway boundary of the Malacca Strait, has the potentially becoming the target of narcotics smuggling with a relatively short travel time supported by the presence of unofficial ports which are separate from the government supervision, making the island the destination of drug smuggling. This study uses a pluralism perspective, level analysis of nation states, theories of international cooperation, and non-traditional security concepts. Research data is obtained from several sources such as books, journals, official documents, and website as a support. The method used is a qualitative research method. This analysis is based on data obtained from interviews and field surveys that have been written in field notes or official documents. The results of this study indicate that the efforts made by the Riau Regional Police are by collaborating with the Marin Territory Police of the Malaysian Royalty Police (PDRM) Johor Bahru through the implementation of rendezvous which discusses cross-border crime cases that occur along the Malacca Strait international watershed. From the rendezvous implementation, it was agreed that both parties agreed to exchange information, tighten water patrols, and routinely conduct rendezvous every year to overcome transnational crimes that occurred between the two countries. Keyword: Effort, Drug Smuggling, Riau Regional Police, Malaysian Police, Bengkalis District.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how government policies in overcoming the barriers that exist in Batam Batam as a region in realizing a Free Trade Zone (FTZ). The author will focus on one of these obstacles is the problem of protected forest areas in Batam. Free Trade Zone (FTZ) is a region or zone that is getting a policy in the form of facilities or free up some kind of object of trade of some customs rules, including taxes and charges. The method used in this study is a qualitative research method with Study Library (Library Research) technique. This study shows that there are several government policies to overcome the obstacles that exist in Batam Batam as a region in realizing a Free Trade Zone (FTZ). Such as, (1) the Government Regulation (PP) No. 46 of 2007, (2) SK 76/MenLHK-II/2015, and then through (3) And the cooperation between Indonesia and Singapore. Abstract

This research would explain about Indonesia’s government policy to stop and banned the illegal fishing’s activity after Indonesia’s got many disadvantage in the fishery sector. This policy created a pro and contra for actors has illegal fishing’s activity like foreign fishing vessels and Indonesian’s fishing vessels.To see the problem of Indonesia’s Government Issuing Moratorium of Permit to Fishing Effort in the Fisheries Management Area Republic of Indonesia, the author uses a qualitative research methodology, the data collection techniques by library reseach are derived from sources of literature books, published magazine, journals, and scientific articles. The persepective used is Merchantilism that see the state’s role in regulating its economy. The theory used is Protectionism.Indonesia’s policy became implications for improved utilization of sources from the sea, improvement of fishery management, eradication of illegal fishing and an increase in achieving economic goals such as exports that are beginning to increase again. While the implications of this policy for illegal fishing’s actors from several countries in Indonesia’s around is lessening fishing effort than usual.Key words: Moratorium of Permit to Fishing Effort in the Fisheries Management Area Republic of Indonesia, Illegal Fishing, Foreign Fishing Vessels, Merchantilist Perspective.

Abstract

This study explains about the impact of China's environmental security policy on Mongolia's political economy in 2013-2015. Mongolia is a rich country in mineral resources, especially coal. The biggest coal export partner for Mongolia is China. The economy of Mongolia is highly dependent on the value of China’s coal demand. China is experiencing serious environmental crisis problems so that the Chinese Government strives to make environmental issues its priority. The author obtains data from journals, books, articles, theses, reports, internet and online media to analyze this research. The theoretical framework that I use in this study is strukturalisme perspective, depedency theory from Theotonio Dos Santos, nation-state analysis unit and the concept of national interest by Nuchterlain. This research shows that environmental security policies in China are carried out by reducing imports and coal consumption in an effort to overcome environmental problems caused by coal in China. China also seeks to replace fossil energy sources by increasing the use of renewable energy such as wind, nuclear, water and geothermal energy. The impact of the implementation of this policy resulted in China reducing the value of coal  demand, which affected the political economy of Mongolia, which was heavily dependent on coal. Keywords: Policy, Environment, Coal, Economy, Politics, Export

Abstract

The focus of this research is the role of Bali process in dealing with people smuggling in Indonesia. People smuggling into today's complex problems. Human smuggling is a crime that is relatively favorable for the syndicate smugglers. It is estimated that annually can produce five to ten million dollars. Indonesia is a transit country for illegal immigrants who want to go to Australia. Not only a transit country, Indonesia has also become a destination country for illegal immigrants. From year to year, illegal immigration and people smuggling to Indonesia increased. This is evident from the facts obtained indicate that illegal methods most frequently used and the choice of the migration process.The problems of people smuggling can not be handled by a single country. For that Indonesia, together with Australia initiated of the Bali Regional Ministerial Meeting on People Smuggling, Trafficking in Persons and Related Transnational Crime in 2002. The meeting discussed about transnational crime lately increasingly troublesome countries affected. The meeting then produce a Regional Consultative Process, known as the Bali Process on People Smuggling, Trafficking in Persons and Related Transnational Crime or shortened by the Bali Process.Keywords: Bali Process, irregular migration, people smuggling,

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to explain why Indonesia cooperate in defense with Pakistan in order to improve defense and security. Indonesia has a very large area, both land, air and sea, and flanked by two oceans and two continents. Many countries with great power in the world have influence in the region. Thus, Indonesia's security level must be strong to maintain the sovereignty of its territory.The perspective used in this study is realism with Donald E. Nuechterlein national interest theory. The data used is secondary data, which comes from books, journals, mass media and internet websites. Research method is library research by analyzing data from above sources.The results of this study show that the national interests of Indonesia are achieved in defense cooperation with Pakistan. Improving the quality of army personnel, improved relations with Pakistan especially in the defense sector.Keywords : defence cooperate, national interest, memorandum of understading

Abstract

This research aimed to describe how Palestine movement to get independence and recognition from all above United Nations member state. In this research will explain the progess of Palestine‟s Authority to become non-member observer state in United Nations. Authority of Palestine was the Palestine‟s people representation that had right to vote and right to submit point of view at international forum. Palestine Liberazation Organization (PLO) take important role for Palestine movement. In any relations, especially foreign relations, Palestine had some of good attitude. But all of Palestine disputes with Israel hamper the independence of Palestine.Researcher analyzed this case using qualitative methods to find data and facts through some literature. The literature collected from books, journals, mass media and websites. Researcher use realism perspective. The level analysis of the research is nation-state and also use international cooperation theory by K.J. Holsti.From this research it can be seen, Palestine used some steps toward international rezime. There are three steps that will shown in this research. First, by using confference diplomacy, under Mahmoud Abbas rezime as President of Palestine‟s Authority used diplomatic relations with other nation state with delivery speech in front of the forum. Second steps with parlementary diplomacy made Palestine as a non-member observer state in United Nations after 67th general assembly at 44th panel discussion on November 29th, 2012. This result supported by 138 countries, rejected by 9 countries, 41 counstries abstain, and 5 countries absen. The last step from Palestine movement for recognition by using international organization. This seen when Palestine joined as a full membership of UNESCO.
