Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran scramble dengan media crossword puzzle terhadap motivasi dan hasil belajar kognitif biologi siswa. Motivasi belajar merupakan proses yang memberi semangat belajar, dorongan, dan perubahan tingkah laku dalam belajar. Hasil belajar merupakan skor yang menunjukkan tingkat pemahaman siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan selama sekitar satu bulan. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan pretest-posttest control group design. Populasi berjumlah 60 siswa, sampel diambil menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Sampel berjumlah 20 siswa kelas VIII-A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan 20 siswa kelas VIII-B sebagai kelas kontrol. Pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen tes berupa pretest-posttest berbentuk pilihan berganda sebanyak 20 soal dan instrumen non tes berupa angket motivasi belajar yang meliputi delapan indikator motivasi belajar yang terdiri dari 20 soal. Data yang telah didapatkan dianalisis menggunakan uji t. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data pada motivasi belajar diperoleh thitung ≥ ttabel yaitu 2,56 ≥ 2,02, sehingga hasil pengujian hipotesis dinyatakan H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima, dan pada hasil belajar kognitif siswa biologi diperoleh thitung ≥ ttabel yaitu 16,58 ≥ 2,02, sehingga hasil pengujian hipotesis dinyatakan H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh model pembelajaran scramble dengan media crossword puzzle terhadap motivasi dan hasil belajar kognitif biologi siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of practicum in developing students' psychomotor in biology subjects online at MTs PAB 2 Sampali. The method used in this research descriptive quantitative method. The population and sample this study were class IX students, totaling 32 students. Data collection techniques used in the form (1) observation used to obtain data on student performance when doing practicum, which was assessed to include students' psychomotor skills before the practicum, implementation during the experiment, and the end of the practicum activity, (2) documentation, used to add completeness of research information. From the results of the study, it was shown that in the implementation of the online practicum it succeeded in growing students' psychomotor, in the grafting practicum at the imitation and manipulation stage it had a good category with an average value 82.25% and 81.97%, accuracy and articulation stage it had a very good category. both at the average value 90.87% and 90.93%, naturalization stage it has a fairly good category with an average value 70.62%. In the implementation of the practicum, the stages of imitation, manipulation and articulation have good categories with an average value 85.63, 83.95%, and 87.5%, in the accuracy and naturalization stages have a very good category with an average value 96.12%. In the implementation of the ducking practicum at the imitation and accuracy stage, the category is very good with an average value of 90.93% and 93.43%, the manipulation, articulation and naturalization stages have a good category with an average value of 78.69%, 83.75%, and 82.5%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan modul pembelajaran biologi berbasis CTL pada materi ekosistem di kelas X SMA/MA. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei 2023 di SMA Negeri 1 Kualuh Selatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan  R&D model ADDIE. Instrumen penelitian berupa lembar validasi ahli materi dan ahli media, angket respon guru dan siswa, serta soal pretest dan posttest. Subyek uji coba dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X-3 SMA Negeri 1 Kualuh Selatan. Uji coba dilakukan terhadap 30 orang siswa untuk mengetahui respon penilaian modul melalui angket respon siswa dan kemudian untuk mengetahui keefektifan modul menggunakan pretest dan posttest. Berdasarkan hasil validasi ahli materi diperoleh persentase 100% dengan kategori sangat valid. Hasil validasi ahli media memperoleh persentase sebesar 88,8% dengan kriteria sangat valid. Hasil respon guru terhadap modul diperoleh presentasi  78,12% dengan kategori praktis. Hasil respon siswa terhadap modul memperoleh persentase  88,6% dengan kategori sangat praktis. Kemudian berdasarkan tes yang telah dilakukan diperoleh rata-rata nilai pretest  44,5 dan untuk posttest diperoleh nilai rata-rata 85,73. Kemudian berdasarkan uji N-Gain diperoleh skor  0,73 termasuk dalam kategori high gain. Kemudian diperoleh hasil bahwa nilainya mengalami peningkatan 73,72%. Dengan demikian, modul pembelajaran biologi berbasis CTL pada materi ekosistem layak digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the problem based learning (PBL) model on students' critical thinking skills in the subject of the human circulatory system in class XI IPA SMAN 1 Na IX-X Aek Kota Batu, Labuhan Batu Utara Regency. This research is a quantitative research with a quasi-experimental approach (Quasi experiment). The instrument used is a test in the form of a description of 12 questions that have been validated by experts. The sampling technique was carried out by cluster random sampling with a total sample of 60 students consisting of two classes of 120 research populations.The results of hypothesis testing using the Independent sample t test statistic show that there is a significant effect between the PBL model on improving students' critical thinking skills in the human circulatory system material in class IX SMA Negeri 1 Na IX-X Aek Kota Baru, North Labuhanbatu Regency.

Abstract

The problem-based learning model is based on a constructivist paradigm, which is very student-centred and focuses on the student learning process (student centered learning). It is expected that student learning outcomes can be improved by using the PBL (Problem Based Learning) model. This research is a study of classroom behaviour. This research was conducted in the 2022/2023 academic year in class XI of SMA Swasta MIPA Imelda Medan. The research subjects were 38 students of class XI MIPA, 29 females and 9 males. Based on the results of two cycles of classroom behaviour research, the quality of the learning process and student learning outcomes can be improved by using the PBL model on respiratory system material. This model can also be trialled on other materials to see its significance. Key words: PBL Model, Learning Outcomes, and Respiratory System.   ABSTRAK Model pembelajaran berbasis masalah berdasarkan paradigma konstruktivis, yang sangat berpusat pada siswa dan menitikberatkan pada proses belajar siswa (student centered learning). Diharapkan hasil belajar siswa dapat ditingkatkan dengan menggunakan model PBL (Problem Based Learning). Penelitian ini merupakan studi tentang perilaku kelas. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada tahun ajaran 2022/2023 di kelas XI SMA Swasta MIPA Imelda Medan. Subjek penelitian adalah 38 siswa kelas XI MIPA, 29  wanita dan 9 pria. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian perilaku kelas dua siklus, kualitas proses belajar dan hasil belajar siswa dapat ditingkatkan dengan menggunakan model PBL pada materi sistem pernapasan. Abstract

This study aims to determine students' responses to scientific literacy-based modules on regulatory system material and to determine the feasibility of scientific literacy-based modules on regulatory system material. The product development design uses the Borg & Gall model with eight stages including, potentials and problems, data collection, product design, product validation, product revision, product testing, product revision, and the final product. This research was carried out from September to December 2021 with a research sample of 35 students in class XI SMA Yayasan Nurul Islam Indonesia. The results of this study showed that the percentage met the very feasible category with the acquisition of an average score on each aspect, namely 83% by material experts, 92% by media experts, 92% by biology teachers and 93% by students. So it can be concluded that scientific literacy-based module teaching materials are very feasible to use for teaching and learning activities.

Abstract

The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikburistek) issued a policy in the development of the Independent Curriculum which is given to educational units as an additional option in order to restore learning during 2022-2024 and improve the quality of education.Based on observations and interviews conducted at SMA Negeri 2 Percut Sei Tuan, North Sumatra.The implementation of the independent curriculum has not been carried out thoroughly, because there are still several factors or obstacles to student difficulties in the learning process. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with descriptive research.This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 2 Percut Sei Tuan.The population in this study were the biology teachers and all students of First grade an each class totaling 36 students. Based on research conducted by researchers at SMA Negeri 2 Percut Sei Tuan, several student difficulties in learning biology through the implementation of the independent curriculum were found, namely internal factors and external factors

Abstract

Strengthening Character Education (PPK) is an educational movement in schools to strengthen students' character through harmonization of heart (ethics), feeling (aesthetic), thought (literacy), and sports (kinesthetic) with the support of public involvement and cooperation between schools, family, and society. This research aims to determine the profile of strengthening character education in class X biology learning at MAN 1 Medan. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with a descriptive research type using observation, interview and documentation guide sheets in collecting data. Meanwhile, data analysis techniques involve data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. This research was carried out at MAN 1 Medan. Research submitted to describe and analyze events, phenomena, learning activities, attitudes and perceptions. The results of this research show: (1) There are 10 profiles of strengthening character education at MAN 1 Medan, namely: Civilized (ta'addub), Exemplary (qudwah), Citizenship and nationality (muwaṭanah), Taking the middle path (tawassuṭ), Balanced (tawāzun ), Straight and firm (i'tidāl), Equality (musāwah), Deliberation (syūra), Tolerance (tasāmuh), Dynamic and innovative (tathawwur wa ibtikâr). (2) The application of character education in biology learning in class social care, and environmental care. (3) Difficulty implementing character education in biology learning. Teachers do not experience difficulties because biology learning is identical to everyday life in the learning process so it is easy to instill character values in students

Abstract

Keterampilan berpikir kritis merupakan kompetensi penting dalam pembelajaran abad ke-21, namun masih tergolong rendah, khususnya pada pembelajaran IPA. Hal ini disebabkan oleh keterbatasan bahan ajar yang belum mampu mendorong keterlibatan aktif siswa dalam menemukan konsep pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan bahan ajar inovatif dan berpusat pada peserta didik, salah satunya melalui LKPD berbasis Discovery Learning. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan LKPD berbasis Discovery Learning pada materi sistem ekskresi serta mengetahui tingkat kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifannya dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa kelas VIII SMP Swasta Budisatrya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development dengan model ADDIE yang meliputi tahap analisis, perancangan, pengembangan, penerapan, dan evaluasi. Instrumen penelitian meliputi lembar validasi ahli materi dan media, angket respon guru dan siswa, serta tes keterampilan berpikir kritis berupa pretest dan posttest. Data dianalisis secara kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa LKPD memiliki tingkat kevalidan sangat tinggi dengan persentase validasi ahli materi sebesar 97,7% dan ahli media sebesar 90,9%. Keefektifan LKPD ditunjukkan oleh nilai N-Gain sebesar 0,78 (78%) dengan kriteria sangat efektif. Selain itu, LKPD juga memiliki tingkat kepraktisan dengan kriteria sangat praktis berdasarkan respon guru dan siswa. Dengan demikian, LKPD berbasis Discovery Learning layak digunakan dan efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa SMP.
