Abstract

This study aims to understand and elaborate the meaning of Shalâh and pious man in the Qur'an and its relationship to the goals of Islamic education. Through a literature review using a qualitative research method with a thematic interpretation approach, referring to primary sources in the form of authoritative tafsir books, authoritative hadith commentary books, educational books and others, this study concludes that the goal of Islamic education is to form pious people physically and mentally, both pious personally, pious ritually and pious socially. With this piety, a human being will be able to carry out the task of his creation to realize worship and prosper the earth because he has a proper relationship with Allah, the universe, fellow human beings, with his worldly life and his future afterlife by upholding each principle of that relationship, which if condensed, the principle is the principle of justice, putting everything in its place, fulfilling rights to those who are entitled and acting correctly, appropriately and proportionally.

Abstract

Islamic higher education should ideally produce a generation proficient in religious knowledge and equipped with skills to navigate contemporary challenges. Unfortunately, the current perception of Islamic higher education is that it possesses low quality, particularly concerning graduates of Islamic studies programs who are considered less capable of keeping up with the pace of modern developments. Consequently, there is a need for a reconstruction of the education system, especially focusing on the curriculum as the foundation of learning, to ensure that educational objectives are achieved optimally. This research aims to examine the curriculum presented in two books: "Tsaqafah Daiyah" by Yusuf Qardhawy and "Fiqhud Dakwah" by Muhammad Natsir. The research methodology employed is qualitative, utilizing observational methods, interviews, document analysis, and directed discussion forums. The research findings conclude that both books can serve as references in formulating an ideal curriculum for educating scholars in higher education. This curriculum is expected to provide the basis for preparing scholar candidates at the undergraduate level with a comprehensive understanding and reinforcement of Islamic jurisprudence. This knowledge should be integrated with a deep understanding of practical insights and relevant materials to address various challenges faced by the community and the nation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji konsep al-mujtama’ al-islami (masyarakat Islam) dalam Al-Quran melalui pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kepustakaan, yang menggambarkan masyarakat ideal yang dibangun di atas nilai-nilai ketuhanan dan ajaran Islam, dengan menggunakan pendekatan tafsir tematik (tafsir maudhu’i) untuk menggali pemahaman yang komprehensif mengenai prinsip-prinsip dasar al-mujtama’ al-islami yang terkandung dalam Al-Quran, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Al-Quran memberikan panduan yang lengkap tentang tatanan kehidupan bermasyarakat yang ideal, mencakup beberapa karakteristik utama seperti tauhid sebagai dasar kehidupan, persaudaraan dan persatuan (al-ukhuwwah), keadilan sosial (al-‘adalah), kasih sayang (al-rahmah), musyawarah (al-syura), solidaritas sosial (al-takaful al-ijtima’i), dan moderasi (al-wasathiyah), serta pentingnya amar ma’ruf nahi munkar sebagai prinsip dalam membangun masyarakat yang Islami, sehingga penerapan konsep al-mujtama’ al-islami dalam kehidupan sehari-hari dapat menciptakan masyarakat yang harmonis, adil, dan sejahtera sesuai dengan ajaran Al-Quran.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has changed the face of world education, including Indonesia. Education, which was originally carried out face-to-face, now has to be carried out through internet media, commonly known as "Online". This is done in an effort to reduce the spread of the Covid-19 virus. However, this new face of education presents various complex problems for educators, students, and parents of students. In the concept of Islamic Education, the process of adab education is not only in face-to-face learning but also created online. Even though they don't meet face to face, adab in studying science can always be applied in order to give birth to students who have strong character in their morals who are able to realize the development of intellectual amaliyah so that they are efficient for the good of the wider community in their capacity as servants of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala.
