Abstract

In the implementation of Family Christian Education, an appropriate learning model is needed, so that teaching can be stored well in the child's memory. Deuteronomy 6:4-9 is not only a theological concept in Family Education but also a learning model that is relevant to information processing theory. This study aims to determine the implementation of the learning model based on Deuteronomy 6:4-9 which is based on information processing theory. This study uses a qualitative approach using exegesis methods and literature review. The results of the study show that the content of teaching in family education based on Deuteronomy 6:4-9 introduces children to the One God from an early age, which must be taught repeatedly and binds to the child, so that teaching will be stored in long-term memory. Teaching that is done by parents repeatedly shows that the content of the teaching has important values and benefits that will bring attention to the child, which is then encoded. Applying the learning model by teaching repeatedly will make children's understanding and knowledge sharpened, stored and can be retrieved in solving problems and forming person with a strong faith.

Abstract

This article laid out specifically the portrait of Jesus' solidarity with the poor or marginalized groups who were often socially left out, neglected and even discriminated. This topic was elaborated on, given that human empathy was slowly fading. In portraying Jesus' solidarity, the researchers traced it from the Gospel of Luke because this book paid severe attention to Jesus' solidarity with the poor. The researchers used the exposition and literature approach to outline the topic of this article. The findings of this study suggested that the portrait of Jesus' solidarity for the poor and marginalized people was that He embraced the left out, met their physical and spiritual needs, defended those who were discriminated and helped thoroughly. The act of solidarity shown by Jesus depicted that He shared their burden, felt how they felt, and sensed the suffering of the poor and other marginalized groups. The solidarity that Jesus became the role model for every servant of God, to follow and emulate what He did as God's partner in echoing the kingdom of God.

Abstract

The digital era presents new challenges in shaping children's character. Technology, social media, and wide access to information often significantly influence children's mindsets, behaviors, and morality, distancing them from theological principles and Christian teachings. This research explores revitalizing "Imago Dei" in forming children's characters, especially in the increasingly complex digital environment. Christian education not only functions as a transfer of knowledge but also as a medium for restoring the image of God. A qualitative approach was employed using a literature review and field observation of educational practices in Christian schools. The results indicate that the revitalization of the "Imago Dei" can be a solution to counteract the negative effects of the digital era on children's morality and integrity. Emphasizing character formation through Christian values such as love, truth, and justice will strengthen children's ability to reflect the image of God in an increasingly individualistic and materialistic world.

Abstract

This article discusses the issue of "citation cartelization" which is viewed from a Christian perspective. A review from a Christian point of view is needed in order to give a view to Christian academics, so that they can take a stand regarding the issue. From the results of the analysis, "citation cartelization" is a citation control measure in an effort to increase the number of citations which ultimately has an impact on increasing index rank in indexing and ranking machines on the Sinta page. In addition, "citation cartelization" is a scientific dishonesty, because efforts to increase the number of citations are carried out by encouraging others to cite one's scientific work even though there is no relevance.

Abstract

Multi-faceted problems require diverse, creative responses from the church and Christian leaders. Deeper theological engagement is necessary to facilitate the work of reconciliation. This article explores in depth the concept of shalom and its theological reflections in the work of reconciliation. To analyze and address this issue, the researcher employed an appreciative inquiry approach, emphasizing that theology must be developed appreciatively, highlighting not only redemptive theology but also creation theology. The study was conducted in two stages: first, an exploration of the meaning of shalom from a biblical perspective; and second, the construction of theological reflections. The findings of this study are threefold. First, theological reflection on shalom leads the church to view Jesus as the ultimate source of shalom. Therefore, the church is called to strengthen the vertical relationship of its members with God. Second, the church’s concrete actions in the world must be grounded in the values of shalom rather than merely humanitarian agendas. This foundation is rooted in both redemptive and creation theology, working hand in hand to call the church toward restoring human relationships and the created order. Third, the ultimate goal of a shalom community is the realization of justice, love, reconciliation, and hope for the future.
