Abstract

Program of community service aims to improve the capabilities of Kayu Manis Batam SMEs in managing financial management through the making of SOPs conducted in April-August 2019. Methods in this activity include observation, FGD, program design and trial & error, and implementation. The results of the program activities have resulted in five SOPs in the financial sector that have been well implemented by SMEs.

Abstract

Aulya Snack is Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (UMKM), that produce traditional snacks such as Rempeyek, Kuping Gajah, and Crackers. This enterprise founded by Mrs. Rita, and located on Tiban Lama, Batam. The observation was done on October 10th until November 23th, 2016. Base on the observation, Aulya Snack has a problem with the Hand Sealer which use to seal the product packaging. They use varies types of packaging from 10x20cm (250gr) to 35x50cm (5kg), to accommodates the sealing process for their product they use two types of hand sealers, small for small packaging (250 gr to 2kg) and Big for big size packaging (3kg to 5kg). By using two types of sealer lead them to more consumption of electricity. And another problem was the handle of hand sealers that they used has difficulty to do sealing for certain size. To solve their problems we proposed a new hand sealer that can use for varies types of packaging of traditional snacks, we redesign the body of hand sealer by setting a stopper which can be moved forward and backward due to adjustment with the type of packaging. And redesign the handler of the hand sealer also. The result of the experiment showed the new sealer can sealing for all sizes that have used, and save the consumed of their electricity almost Rp. 77.778 ,-  per month.

Abstract

Basic electricity tariff per Kwh (KiloWatt Hour) in the city of Batam is higher than the price of electricity in other provinces in Indonesia, this is due to the management of PT. PLN Batam is carried out by a private company.Therefore the use of electric power is a special concern for customers of PT. PLN Batam, so far the customer only knows the electricity bill when it will pay so it is difficult for customers to regulate electricity usage every month.To overcome the above problems, the research team designed a prototype system that can monitor electricity usage in real-time through Android customers. The system was built using an Arduino Mega 2560 as microcontroller and a current sensor SCT-013-000. Current sensor SCT-013-000 measurement data is processed on the microcontroller then displayed on Android via HC-05 Bluetooth communication media, then the data will be stored in the SD card that has been provided. So that measurements are carried out in real-time the system uses RealTime Clock (RTC) DS3231.The results of tests that have been done show that the system or prototype is designed to be able to monitor electrical power in real-time using Android with an error rate of <3.68%.

Abstract

Korean language has a different form of characters from the letters of the alphabet so that not everyone can read Korean characters. The number of Muslims in Korea who are in the minority results in the Korean people's understanding of halal food being very minimal. As a result, foreign tourists, especially Muslim tourists who come to Korea have difficulty choosing halal food. Based on these problems, the topic of this research is based on the image processing system (Image Processing) that is designed is the detection of the letters of the alphabet and Hangul (Korean characters) using the OCR (Optical Character Recognition) and Raspberry Pi as data processing so that it can recognize letter characters Hangul and alphabet that are already available in the database. The workings of this system are first to create a database of food data and certain words related to food menus. Then by using the Pi camera, scanning of the food menu is done. The data obtained will be processed by Raspberry Pi so that the system is able to detect food menus correctly. The results show that the system is able to detect food menus from text localization with an average accuracy rate of 88,333%. By using 4 different font types, the English text shows OCR data train still needs to be improved.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Sign language is a form of communication used by persons with disabilities who are deaf to communicate through movement. Every movement in sign language has a meaning that not everyone can understand. To be able to translate the meaning of each movement needed a pattern recognition method. The method used in designing this application is Hidden Markov Models. In designing this application using a Leap Motion camera that functions as a sensor to capture the movement of the skeleton in the hand. The sign language movement that is translated is SIBI sign language consisting of 5 words namely "Brother", "Sister", "Eat", "Patience" and "I". Based on the results of testing and analysis shows that the system as a whole has not been able to recognize movement well, with success reaching around 20%. This is because there are still errors in the learning process.

Abstract

Kursi roda adalah alat bantu berjalan bagi beberapa orang yang memiliki kekurangan pada anggota gerak tubuh seperti lumpuh dikaki, orang yang sudah lanjut usia (manula) yang tidak mampu lagi berjalan sendiri, ataupun orang yang sedang menjalani perawatan di rumah sakit. Salah satu kendala bagi pengguna kursi roda adalah masih kurang kemandiriannya artinya ada suatu saat dimana pemakai kursi roda masih memerlukan bantuan orang lain, misalnya saat melintasi jalan tanjakan dan jalan turunan. Berdasarkan hal tersebut diatas, maka pada penelitian ini dirancang dan dibuat sebuah kursi roda dengan menggunakan remote control (joystick) sebagai pengendali gerak dari kursi roda agar dapat melintasi jalan tanjakan dan jalan turunan secara mandiri. Kursi roda yang dirancang dengan mengimplementasikan metode PID (Proportional Integral Derivative) yang akan mengontrol arah dan kecepatan pergerakan motor DC yang dilengkapi dengan sensor rotary encoder sebagai pembacaannya, agar pergerakan kursi roda saat melewati jalan tanjakan dan jalan turunan dengan kecepatan yang sama. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem yang dirancang mampu bekerja sesuai dengan tujuan penelitian. Pengujian respon kontrol kursi roda dengan menggunakan metode PID akan menentukan respon kontrol terhadap setpoint. Nilai parameter Kp, Ki, dan Kd dengan error terkecil telah diperoleh untuk kondisi jalan datar, tanjakan dengan sudut 7,5°, turunan dengan sudut 7,5°, dengan berat beban pengendara 50kg dan 60kg. ----- Wheelchairs is a tools for helping someone or people who have a deficiency for example a lame foot, people who are elderly (seniors) are no longer able to walk on his own, or those who are undergoing treatment in hospital. One of the obstacles for wheelchair users is still lacking independence means there is a moment where wheelchair users still need the help of others, for example when crossing the road climbs and roads derivative. Based on the above reason, the study was designed and created a wheelchair with a remote control (joystick) as motion control of a wheelchair to be able to cross the road and the road climbs derivatives, in order to cross both of the road's condition with independently. The implemented method of PID (Proportional Integral Derivative) to control of the direction and speed of movement of a DC motor, also uses a rotary encoder sensor readings, so the movement of the wheelchair ramp is currently passing through both of the road's condition with the same speed. Results of the study show that the designed system is able to work in accordance with the purpose of study. Testing response wheelchair control by using PID control will determine the response to set point. Value parameters Kp, Ki, and Kd with the smallest error was obtained for flat roads, climb at an angle of 7.5 °, 7.5 ° angle derivative, with rider weight 50kg and 60kg.

Abstract

Sistem yang dirancang menggunakan Raspberry Pi sebagai mikrokontroller yang akan melakukan pengolahan data-data pembelajaran machine learning dengan bantuan pi camera sebagai sensor pembacaan. Pembacaan melalui kamera digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi posisi objek sesuai dari pembelajaran data. Sistem machine learning yang digunakan berupa tensorflow. Hasil Pembacaan dan analisa menunjukkan sistem dapat mengidentifikasi posisi objek yaitu dari penempatan objek dalam gambar. Terdapat juga kesalahan pembacaan pada objek dikarenakan pembelajaran disesuaikan dengan data yang diberikan, dimana data yang diberikan tersebut dipilah secara manual oleh penulis. The system is designed to use the Raspberry Pi as a microcontroller that will process machine learning data with the help of a pi camera as a reading sensor. Reading through the camera is used to identify the position of the object according to the learning data. The machine learning system used is tensorflow. The results of reading and analysis show that the system can identify the position of the object, namely from the placement of the object in the image. There are also reading errors on the object because learning is adjusted to the data provided, where the data provided is manually sorted by the author.

Abstract

Absensi adalah proses untuk mengidentifikasi dan mencatat kehadiran mahasiswa/i disetiap waktu kelas yang dijadwalkan. Pada umumnya proses absensi ini dilakukan secara manual begitu juga pada proses pelaporan kehadiran mahasiswa (rekap absensi mahasiswa) dilakukan secara manual oleh staf administrasi. Sistem yang masih manual ini rentan terjadinya kecurangan dan juga human error. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, maka perlu dirancang sistem absensi yang berbasis elektronik dan mampu melakukan pengolahan data secara cepat, mudah, dan paperless. Sistem absensi yang dirancang dalam bentuk portable yang mudah dibawa ke kelas-kelas perkuliahan dan meminimalkan terjadinya kecurangan. Sistem yang dirancang menggunakan Sensor Fingerprint yang terhubung dengan mikrokontroller Raspberry Pi sebagai file server. Sensor fingerprint akan mendeteksi sidik jari dari mahasiswa yang telah tersimpan dalam internal storage sensor. Kemudian data tersebut dikirim ke Raspberry Pi untuk mengolah data, menyimpan data, dan membagikan data absensi ke komputer admin. Data absensi akan memuat data-data yang dibutuhkan dalam pelaporan kehadiran mahasiswa. Hasil pengambilan data pendeteksian sidik jari yang telah dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa tingkat akurasi dari pendeteksian memiliki indeks akurasi berkisar 100 sampai 400 dimana faktor kegagalan yang dominan disebabkan karena bentuk dan ketebalan ridge sidik jari yang kurang jelas. Alat abseni portable memiliki menu register, hapus sidik jari, dan absensi. Menu register untuk mendaftarkan sidik jari mahasiswa, menu hapus sidik jari untuk menghapus data mahasiswa, dan menu absensi untuk mencatat kehadiran mahasiswa yang dikonfirmasi oleh dosen.

Abstract

Dengan meningkatnya tingkat kriminalitas terutama pencurian yang disebabkan oleh kelalaian mengunci rumah, makaHome security adalah salah satu solusi yang sangat penting bagi masyarakat Indonesia saat ini. Home security yangdimaksud dalam penelitian ini adalah security pada pintu rumah. Perkembangan ponsel berbasis Android sangatlahpesat, berbagai merk dan harga yang bervariasi (dari yang murah sampai yang mahal) banyak ditemui dipasaran.Banyaknya fitur yang ditawarkan oleh ponsel-ponsel berbasis Android ini juga menjadi salah satu daya tarik yangmembuat orang-orang ingin menggunakan ponsel tersebut. Sistem operasi yang bersifat gratis ini juga membuat tertarikpara pengembang software untuk mengembangkan aplikasinya di sistem operasi Android. Konsep dasar alat ini adalahaplikasi yang dapat digunakan untuk mengontrol rumah dari jarak jauh. Peralatan pengontrol kunci rumah dihubungkandengan driver motor (yang akan membuka atau mengunci pintu), mikrokontroller (Arduino Uno) sebagai interface yangmenghubungkan secara wireless dengan ponsel android. Dengan ponsel tersebut, kita dapat mengirimkan perintahuntuk membuka atau mengunci pintu, dengan keunggulan Arduino Uno yang memiliki 14 pin I/O sehinggaditambahkan satu lampu untuk dihidupkan atau dimatikan melalui ponsel android. Dari hasil penelitian didapatkanbahwa system mampu melakukan pengontrolan pintu melalui ponsel android, demikian juga dengan menyalakan danmematikan lampu dengan ponsel android (jarak Jauh).
