Abstract

College students are in a developmental stage that is vulnerable to social pressures, including demands related to physical appearance, which may affect body image satisfaction and levels of self-acceptance. Body image satisfaction was one of the important aspects in shaping self-acceptance, which ultimately contributed to students' psychological well-being. This study aimed to examine the relationship between body image satisfaction and self-acceptance among university students. The method used was quantitative correlational with regression analysis using four model approaches: linear, quadratic, logarithmic, and exponential. The participants consisted of 75 students selected through Accidental sampling. The results showed a significant relationship between body image satisfaction and self-acceptance, with the quadratic regression model being the best model to explain this relationship. The findings indicated that increased body image satisfaction could lead to higher self-acceptance up to a certain point, after which the effect leveled off. These results provided an understanding that although body image satisfaction played an important role in shaping self-acceptance, other factors also needed to be considered. The implication of this research encouraged higher education institutions to develop psychological interventions that supported the development of positive body image in order to enhance students' self-acceptance and overall mental health. Mahasiswa berada dalam fase perkembangan yang rentan terhadap tekanan sosial, termasuk tuntutan terhadap penampilan fisik, yang dapat memengaruhi kepuasan citra tubuh dan tingkat penerimaan diri. Kepuasan citra tubuh menjadi salah satu aspek penting dalam membentuk penerimaan diri, yang pada akhirnya turut menentukan kesejahteraan psikologis mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kepuasan citra tubuh dan penerimaan diri pada mahasiswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif korelasional dengan analisis regresi menggunakan empat model pendekatan yaitu linear, kuadratik, logaritmik, dan eksponensial. Partisipan penelitian berjumlah 75 mahasiswa yang dipilih melalui Accidental sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kepuasan citra tubuh dan penerimaan diri, dengan model regresi kuadratik menjadi model terbaik dalam menjelaskan hubungan tersebut. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan kepuasan citra tubuh dapat mendorong peningkatan penerimaan diri hingga titik tertentu, sebelum akhirnya efeknya melandai. Hasil ini memberikan pemahaman bahwa meskipun kepuasan citra tubuh penting dalam membentuk penerimaan diri, terdapat faktor lain yang juga perlu diperhatikan. Implikasi dari penelitian ini mendorong institusi pendidikan tinggi untuk mengembangkan intervensi psikologis yang mendukung pembentukan citra tubuh positif guna meningkatkan penerimaan diri dan kesehatan mental mahasiswa secara menyeluruh.

Abstract

Increasing the capacity of human resources (HR) in elementary schools is urgent, especially amidst the challenges of low initiative, weak institutional vision, and minimal character training for teachers and education personnel. This community service activity aims to strengthen HR competency and work culture at SD Muhammadiyah 3 Gresik through training based on The 7 habits of highly effective people. The methods used include three main stages: initial discussion with partners through Focus Group Discussion (FGD) to map problems; participatory and reflective training that integrates seven effective habits into educators' work routines; and evaluation based on questionnaires and personal reflection. The training was delivered contextually and interactively through case studies, simulations, and group discussions. The results of the activity showed positive changes in the way of thinking, time management, and collaboration patterns between participants. Teachers became more proactive, had long-term planning, and were better able to work in teams synergistically. The evaluation also showed increased motivation and awareness of the importance of balance between professional duties and self-development. This activity concluded that the 7 Habits training was effective in building productive and collaborative work characters in elementary education environments. It is recommended that this training be conducted periodically and accompanied by follow-up mentoring to ensure the sustainability of the impact and the formation of an adaptive work culture.

Abstract

This research was conducted to test whether there is an influence between authoritarian parenting on psychological well-being in early adolescents. The number of samples in this study was 198 students with an age range of 12 to 15 years. This research uses a quantitative approach with a correlational type of research. Based on the analysis results obtained from the simple linear regression test, a significance value of 0.002 was obtained. This means that the significance value is smaller than 0.05. So it can be concluded that authoritarian parenting has an influence on psychological well-being in early adolescence. From the results of the regression coefficient value of minus, namely -0.019, it can be said that authoritarian parenting has a negative effect on psychological well-being in early adolescence. This means that the higher the authoritarian parenting style, the lower the level of psychological well-being in early adolescence. For future researchers, it is recommended to use other theories that have not been used in this research, for example Riberio's theory. Apart from that, to develop further research, we can also use internal factors that can influence psychological well-being, for example gender factors, evaluation of life experiences and locus of control.

Abstract

There are currently more than 55 million people suffering from senile worldwide, more than 60% of whom are dominated by middle and low income countries. Every year, 10 million cases of senile occur. Senile is caused by various diseases that attack the brain. Alzheimer's disease is one of the most common forms of this disease and can cause 60-70% of cases in elderly people with senile. Caring for a parent with senile has the potential to be very stressful. The aim of this research is to determine the description (aspects, levels, & influencing factors) of stress in adult-child caregivers in caring for parents with senile. The method used in this research is qualitative with a phenomenological type. The subjects in this study were 3 people who played the role of Adult-Child Caregiver for a period of 4 years or more. The data collection technique uses the interview method. The data analysis technique uses the Miles and Hubberman model. The data credibility techniques used are source triangulation and member checking. The results of this research show that there is a description of the stress experienced by the subject with both biological and psychological aspects. 2 of the 3 subjects studied had Very Severe Stress levels with the influence of economic, family and environmental factors. 1 in 3 subjects have symptoms of excessive stress and have experienced it for a very long time. The results of this research can be a suggestion for other adult-child caregivers to receive training to increase their skills in caring for elderly parents.

Abstract

Bullying atau perundungan merupakan perilaku oleh individu atau kelompok, berulang dari waktu ke waktu, yang dengan sengaja menyakiti individu atau kelompok lain baik secara fisik maupun emosinal dan terjadi di mana ada ketidakseimbangan kekuatan yang berbeda antara pelaku dan korban. Beberapa program pencegahan perundungan telah terbukti secara umum efektif dalam mengurangi perudungan di kalangan masyarakat. Namun, efeknya relatif kecil dalam berbagai penelitian eksperimen dan kelompok usia. Program yang lebih intensif dan durasinya lebih lama (baik untuk anak maupun guru) lebih efektif, begitu juga program yang mengandung lebih banyak komponen. Beberapa komponen program dikaitkan dengan ukuran efek yang besar, termasuk pelatihan atau pertemuan orang tua dan pelatihan guru. Hal ini menjadi landasan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang tujuan untuk sosialisasi program pencegahan perundungan berbasis sekolah di SMK Tuban. Metode kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat menggunakan beberapa tahapan, yaitu identifikasi kebutuhan, persiapan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Berdasarkan diskusi yang dilakukan, ditemuakn beberapa program yang paling banyak digunakan di Indonesia yaitu program disiplin positif, program ROOTS Indonesia, dan program buddy.

Abstract

Setiap individu memiliki tugas perkembangan di setiap tahapan kehidupan. Tugas perkembangan yang disertai tekanan, kesedihan, kecemasan, dan segala emosi yang tidak menyenangkan akan membuat individu memiliki gangguan yang beresiko terhadap kehidupannya. Peningkatan penekanan pada kebutuhan untuk meningkatkan kesehatan mental yang positif perlu dilakukan. Salah satu pencegahan yang bisa dilakukan yaitu dengan cara promosi kesehatan mental. Tujuan PKM yaitu meningkatkan kesadaran pentingnya Kesehatan mental bagi remaja. Promosi kesehatan mental yang dilakukan tim PKM melalui sosialisasi dan seminar penguatan kesehatan mental bagi remaja pada komunitas Karang Taruna di Desa Cerme Lor Kabupaten Gresik. Metode PKM berupa sosialisasi dan seminar mengenai pentingnya Kesehatan mental bagi remaja. Tahapan pelaksanaan kegiatan PKM berupa analisis kebutuhan, persiapan, pelaksanaan serta evaluasi. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi dengan menyebarkan kuesioner menunjukkan bahwa sosialisasi dan seminar mengenai kesehatan mental sangatlah penting bagi remaja dalam melalui masa transisi kehidupan yang penuh tantangan dalam mencapai kesehatan mental yang baik. Kegiatan PKM juga memberikan dampak yang positif bagi remaja serta remaja memberikan respon yang positif pula dalam kegiatan seminar.

Abstract

One of the learning media that can be used to support the development of children's reading skills is letter puzzles. This media is chosen because it can capture children's attention through its varied shapes and colors. The goal is to evaluate the effectiveness of the intervention using letter puzzle media in improving pre-reading skills in preschool-aged children. This study is designed with an experimental approach to assess the effectiveness of the intervention using letter puzzle media in enhancing pre-reading skills in preschool-aged children. The research results show that the implementation of positive reinforcement is proven effective in improving reading skills in early childhood, including through increased learning motivation, self-confidence, and self-regulation. The implications of these findings suggest that providing positive reinforcement not only accelerates the learning process but also builds a foundation of positive character that can support children's future academic and social success.Salah satu media pembelajaran yang dapat digunakan untuk mendukung perkembangan keterampilan membaca anak sebagai puzzle huruf. Media ini dipilih karena mampu menarik perhatian anak-anak melalui bentuk dan warna yang bervariasi. Tujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas intervensi menggunakan media puzzle huruf dalam meningkatkan keterampilan pra-membaca pada anak-anak usia prasekolah. Penelitian ini dirancang dengan pendekatan eksperimen untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas intervensi menggunakan media puzzle huruf dalam meningkatkan keterampilan pra-membaca pada anak-anak usia prasekolah. Hasil penelitian bahwa penerapan reinforcement positif terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pada anak usia dini, baik melalui peningkatan motivasi belajar, rasa percaya diri, maupun kemampuan pengendalian diri. Implikasi dari temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa pemberian reinforcement positif tidak hanya mempercepat proses pembelajaran, tetapi juga membangun fondasi karakter positif yang dapat mendukung keberhasilan akademik dan sosial anak di masa mendatang.

Abstract

This research discusses efforts to increase discipline in learning through behavioral contract techniques in students at SMK Negeri 2 Lamongan. This research aims to teach directly the Behavior Contract technique, increase the learning effectiveness of students at SMK Negeri 2 Lamongan, and address the low learning effectiveness of students at SMK Negeri 2 Lamongan. This type of research is quantitative research. The problem in this research is that in implementing learning, students often choose lessons they only like and don't want to go to class and often hang out in the canteen. This causes a lack of application of scientific disciplines in learning for students. Researchers also use a behavioral approach because this approach assumes that all behavior, both adaptive and maladaptive, can be learned. This approach can be carried out in depth with groups of students who have a habit of being undisciplined in learning. Researchers conducted interviews and distributed questionnaires to students with the results of the level of learning discipline before receiving the intervention and after receiving intervention through the behavior contract technique, which was different, the result of which was that the learning discipline of students at SMK N 2 Lamongan class XI before being given the behavior contract technique was in the low category, after being given it. intervention through the behavior contract technique resulted in an increase in categories starting from the very low category to the low and high categories which experienced a significant increase. The results of this research were obtained from the results of the Wilcoxon Signed test, obtained a Z value of -1.342 and an asymp value of sig. (2-tailed) 0.180 is smaller than the alpha level of 5% (0.05), so the conclusion is that there is a difference in the learning discipline of students at SMK N 2 Lamongan class XI before and after being given the behavior contract intervention.
