Abstract

This study investigates the synergistic interaction of chili and tomato plants in an intercropping system of the home courtyard at Ternate City. Studies were carried out from August 2023 to March 2024 at the Maliaro housing complex, implementing a completely randomized design with three replications in the intercropping treatment with a single plant control. The study results show: (a) the synergistic interaction between chili and tomato plants is significant for the variables of plant height, development of leaf area, fruit set in the maximum growth phase, as well as components of chili and tomato fruit yields as measured by fruit weight and the percentage of healthy and damaged fruit. (b) the real synergistic effect of chilies from tomato plants on each chili plant variable, and (c) the effectiveness of the intercropping system is significantly optimal for chili plant production. Keywords: Chili, Tomato, Intercropping, Interaction, Ternate City.

Abstract

This research analyzes the implementation and development strategy of the Community Forestry (HKm) scheme in the UPTD KPH Ternate Tidore area, with a focus on social, ecological and economic aspects. The aim of this research is to analyze the level of success of community forest management in the UPTD KPH Ternate Tidore area. Research methods include observation, literature study, and questionnaires. To formulate strategies based on strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. Data was analyzed using a stakeholder analysis approach. Stakeholder analysis uses an interest and influence matrix to determine HKm development strategies. The results of the research show that government support, such as simplifying permits, technical assistance, and funding, really supports the sustainability of HKm management. The results of this analysis produce alternative strategies based on government support, optimizing assistant staff, and utilizing forest resources to improve the sustainability of HKm management in KPH areas. Ternate Tidore. produced three alternative strategies, namely: government support for HKm management, optimization of companion workers and utilization of forest resources. This strategy aims to increase the sustainability of forest resources as well as the welfare of surrounding communities.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effect of increasing the dose of NPK Mutiara 16-16-16 fertilizer on 3 varieties of sweet corn (Zea Mays Saccharata Sturt). This research was carried out in Tuokona Village, South Bacan District in August-December 2024. The research used a Factorial Randomized Block Design with 2 treatment factors, namely the first factor was plant variety consisting of the Paragon variety (J1), the Bonanza variety (J2) and the Super sweet variety (J3). The second factor consists of fertilizer doses P1 (5 gr), J2 (10 gr) and J3 (15 gr). The research data were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) and continued with the Duncan test (DMRT) 5% for data that was significantly different. Research results Plant varieties had significantly different effects on observations of leaf area, flower age, fruit length, fruit diameter and the best treatment was found in the Bonanza variety and the Paragon variety. The treatment dose of NPK Mutiara 16-16-16 fertilizer resulted in the best treatment at P3 (15 g/plant) for plant height.

Abstract

The production of curly chili and tomato plants as well as resistance to anthracnose and fusarium attacks on farmers' land in Sulamadaha and Kastela Villages, Ternate City, currently has the potential to decrease compared to its potential in recent years. Plant production and resilience are expected to decline as the soil health of agricultural land declines. Soil health on chili and tomatoes is determined by land management systems such as fertilization, pest and disease control, from planting to harvest. The problem approach in the management of soil health is carried out through counseling and product-making training to improve soil health. The problems agreed to be resolved through counseling are the introduction of healthy soil characteristics, how to maintain healthy soil, sources of plant nutrients from natural materials, and plant cultivation systems. Product training activities include how to select biosaka and biochar raw materials, methods for making products, and methods for applying products to plants and on agricultural land. Activities are carried out through several stages: counseling, training, and implementation. Measurement of farmer's understanding of extension and training materials is carried out through evaluation before the activity (pre-test) and at the end of the activity (post-test). The standard of success is determined through indicators of increasing understanding and mastery of the material by 25 percent from pre-test to post-test. After the application of biosaka and biochar products, plant performance is measured through plant height, number of branches, and production. The training activities increased the material mastery by 48.68% for biosaka and 70.37% for biochar. The highest curly chili production was 0.94 kg tree-1 harvest-1, and tomato production was 0.59 kg tree-1 harvest-1.

Abstract

Trigona Spp beekeeping in North Maluku has not been widely practiced, because some people do not know this type of bee. The community also does not know that in addition to producing honey, Trigona Spp. bees also produce propolis which is beneficial for health and has a fairly high economic value. The purpose of Community Service (PKM) is to introduce partners to how to maintain and care for Trigona spp. bees and introduce plant species as a source of food for Trigona spp. bees which are useful for producing honey and propolis. The solution offered by several methods is to approach to find out the problems and conduct counseling and training to solve the problems. Thus, it is expected that partners can understand the importance of good care for Trigona spp. bees, as well as how to choose and plant the right plants as a food source. In addition, through this training, partners are expected to increase the productivity of honey and propolis, so that it can provide better economic benefits for them. The results of the service activities are that the community as partners know how to keep Trigona Spp. bees. The evaluation results show that the community can propagate colonies (grafting) and carry out maintenance of beekeeping stups
