Abstract

In today's digital era, social media has developed into a major platform that influences the political realm throughout the world. Its role in shaping public opinion and the distribution of information has changed the dynamics of political power, expanding its reach and impact on contemporary society. This study aims to analyze how social media influences politics, with a focus on political campaigns, voter participation, and information dissemination. Using content analysis and social survey methods, this research investigates the influence of political communication strategies via social media on voter behavior and public policy dynamics. The research results show that social media facilitates rapid and widespread dissemination of information, allowing politicians to reach voters at lower costs and higher efficiency compared to traditional methods. However, these platforms are also vulnerable to the spread of false information and manipulation of opinion, which can undermine the integrity of the democratic process. The study found that interactions between social media users and political content often result in polarization of opinion, which can deepen social divisions. This research underscores the importance of more effective regulations and information verification mechanisms to reduce the negative impact of social media in politics. Further research is needed to explore innovative ways of managing and utilizing social media to support more inclusive and transparent democratic processes

Abstract

Financial inclusion has emerged as a policy concern in many countries, leading to various initiatives to promote financial inclusion for marginalised populations, including persons with disabilities (PwD). This research examines the usage of financial services by PwD in developed and developing countries through a systematic literature review (SLR) and relevant descriptive statistics. The findings shed light on significant barriers hindering PwD to financial services, such as information asymmetry, complex banking procedures, insufficient sensitivity towards disabilities that result in less accommodating financial services, and limited innovation in banking services. The findings suggest that improving financial literacy and adopting inclusive digital financial services are keys to improving financial inclusion for PwD.

Abstract

Political parties play a crucial role in shaping public policy in democratic systems, influencing the governance structure and decision-making processes. In Indonesia, political parties are essential intermediaries between the state and society, bridging the gap between government institutions and the public's aspirations. This study aims to explore the role of political parties in the formulation of public policies from the perspective of Political Systems Theory. Specifically, it seeks to examine how political parties contribute to policy development, the extent of their influence, and the mechanisms through which they interact with other stakeholders. Using a qualitative research approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews with key political figures, party representatives, and policy experts, complemented by document analysis. The findings indicate that political parties in Indonesia serve as key actors in the policy formation process, though their effectiveness varies based on their alignment with government coalitions and their capacity to mobilize public support. The study also reveals that political systems theory provides a useful framework for understanding the dynamic interactions between political parties, governmental institutions, and the broader society, emphasizing the feedback loops and adaptive mechanisms that drive policy evolution. These insights contribute to a deeper understanding of the political landscape in Indonesia and the critical role that political parties play in shaping public policy.

Abstract

Abstract

This study analyzes the dynamics of netizens' reception of the hashtag #tidakkerjapolisi on social media, reflecting public sentiment toward the Indonesian National Police (Polri). Using a virtual ethnography approach within a critical paradigm, primary data were collected through observation and documentation on social media and analyzed using Klaus Krippendorff's content analysis to identify communication patterns and key themes. The findings reveal a significant gap between Polri's official narratives and public perceptions, with many netizens adopting oppositional positions. Key criticisms include evidence manipulation, systemic corruption, and lack of transparency in handling cases. Social media has become a platform for the public to mobilize opinions and demands for reform. The study recommends that Polri enhance communication and transparency via social media, implement internal reforms to strengthen accountability, and leverage technology, such as body cameras and improved surveillance systems, to improve integrity and public trust in law enforcement.

Abstract

This study addresses the phenomenon of representation of ideal life and social pressure on Instagram as well as its impact on self-image strategies among adolescents. The research background is based on the increasing use of social media as a space of digital identity formation that almost features an engineered and curated image of life. This study uses qualitative methods with a descriptive approach to describe in depth the dynamics of self-image that arise as a result of social pressures in interactions in digital spaces. Data sources were obtained from literature reviews that included scholarly journals, books, and articles related to self-image theory, social media, as well as digital identity. The data collection technique was conducted through non-participant observation of the youth’s uploads and interactions on Instagram. Data analysis used Klaus Krippendorff’s content analysis approach which allowed for a systematic interpretation of texts, images, and symbols representing ideal lives as well as self-image strategies. To ensure validity, a source triangulation technique was used testing the consistency of data between observations and scientific literature. The results of the study suggest that representations of ideal lives on Instagram play a role as social standards that create psychological pressure and encourage adolescents to strategically adjust their identities. Discussion shows that self-image on Instagram is performative, reflective, and loaded with symbolic value that is influenced by algorithmic logics and social expectations. In conclusion, Instagram has been a space of hyperreality that influences young people’s identity construction through its complex, adaptive, and simultaneously problematic visual imagery, Instagram.

Abstract

Structural and functional abnormalities of the heart cause congestive heart failure (CHF), a clinical syndrome. CHF is characterized by a reduced ability of the heart to pump blood so that the resulting cardiac outputis inadequate which affects hemodynamics such as oxygen saturation and respiratory rate as well as complaints of fatigue. In CHF patients, position adjustment affects respiration rate, oxygen saturation, and shortness of breath. The study aims to determine the effect of orthopneic positioning on oxygen saturation, respiration rate, and fatigue in patients with CHF in IGD. This research was quantitative study with a pre experiment one group pretest posstest design approach. The sample in this study consisted of 32 respondents with quota sampling. The Wilcoxon rank test obtained a p-value <0,001, indicating the influence of orthopneic position on patients with CHF in the emergency care unit. Following the prescribed orthopneic position, the oxygen saturation value increased to 96.50%, the respiration rate increased to 21.75 times/min, and the fatigue rate remained moderate. These results demonstrate that orthopneic positions can effectively alleviate breathing difficulties and fatigue in patients with CHF because in this position it can improve respiratory muscle function and maximize the process of inspiration and expiration. The researcher suggests the implementation of orthopneic positions as an alternative to addressing problems of oxygen saturation, respiration rate, and fatigue in patients with CHF in the emergency care facility.
