Abstract

Gender power imbalances in patriarchal society contribute to rising violence against women, as evident in Komnas Perempuan's annual surge in reported sexual violence cases. This research uses Stuart Hall's encoding-decoding model to analyze how @komnasperempuan's Instagram followers perceive the campaign for Ratification of the Draft Law on the Elimination of Sexual Violence (RUU PKS). Interviews with twelve informants reveal varied interpretations. Two prevalent positions emerge: one strongly supporting RUU PKS ratification and another cautiously endorsing the campaign while doubting the Indonesian House of Representatives' commitment to passing it. Notably, none of the informants oppose the campaign

Abstract

The South Tangerang City Government, Banten, welcomed the selection of West Dadap Village as an Independent, Food Secure, Clean, and Superior Village (Mantul) because it supports the Village Development program criteria. Therefore, Dadap Village was formed into an independent village and an educational tourism destination for the community in 2022. This community service activity fulfils the University's Additional Performance indicators, namely strengthening the competence of Partners in the fields of craft production, Packaging Management, Branding, and digital marketing to strengthen the Edukreatif Branding of Dadap Village. The solution offered is to transfer knowledge through training in making souvenirs unique to Dadap Village in the form of Chunky Bags, Product Packaging, Branding, Product Photography as marketing content and digital marketing. The target output is to produce competency strengthening in the fields of creativity in crafting souvenirs, packaging, branding, product photos and digital marketing. Second, produce outputs in the form of Chunky bag souvenirs, posters, activity videos, publications on online news portals, scientific journal articles accredited by Sinta and HAKI copyrights.

Abstract

The goal of this study is to examine the public's positive, negative, and neutral reactions to the March 27, 2023, post "Minister of Trade Will Destroy Imported Used Clothes" on Instagram @jktinfo. This study employs positivism as a paradigm and quantitative content analysis as a research method. We analyze the content of messages or texts per comment and conceptualize it using public opinion as the unit of analysis. This study had a population of 2,257, and the sample included 339 comments. Data collection techniques rely on random sampling. Additionally, intercoders with Hostly formulas test the data for validity and reliability.The results showed positive opinions of 63 (19 persen of comments) that supported the policies of the Minister of Trade, negative opinion categories of 263 (77 persen of comments) that rejected and did not support, and neutral opinions that received frequency results of 13 (4 persen of comments) that were impartial to any party. The study identified five sub-dimensions of language style: irony, cynicism, sarcasm, satire, and innuendo. Cynicism in negative opinions emerged as the most popular sub-dimension of language style, garnering up to 92 comments, indicating the public's rejection and disapproval of the Ministry of Trade's policy to destroy imported used clothes.

Abstract

PT Kejora Cipta Kreasi merupakan salah satu Agensi kreatif di Indonesia yang memiliki berbagai divisi di dalamnya, salah satunya divisi design. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui Pola Komunikasi dalam menjalankan project dengan fungsi manajemen POAC (Planning, Organizing, Actuating, Controlling) pada divisi Design PT Kejora Cipta Kreasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan paradigma konstruktivisme dengan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan wawancara mendalam dengan 8 narasumber terbagi dalam dua tim yaitu Tim 1 dan Tim 2. Hasil penelitian menunjukan pola komunikasi kedua tim yaitu pola semua arah dilihat dari cara berkomunikasi, interaksi antar anggota dan cara kerja tim menunjukan komunikasi ke segala arah tanpa adanya batasan pengiriman atau penerimaan informasi. Fungsi manajemen dijalankan mulai dari perencanaan timeline hingga pendistribusian informasi oleh project manager, pengorganisasi dalam pembagian tugas oleh Project Manager, pelaksanaan antara anggota tim dan pemberian motivasi kerja oleh Project Manager serta Pengawasan dilakukan Project Manager secara berkala. Faktor penghambat berupa Hambatan teknis seperti kendala jaringan, hambatan semantik berupa kesalahan penafsiran sebuah kata dan hambatan manusiawi berupa prasangka. 4 faktor pendukung berupa keterbukaan, empati, sikap saling dukung dan kesamaan.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to describe the opinions of influencers in netizen conversations on Twitter regarding religious moderation. The research uses public opinion, agenda setting models, and the spiral of silence to analyze opinions and topics discussed by Mega influencers, Macro influencers, Micro influencers, and Nano influencers. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive content analysis method. Research data obtained using NVivo with the keyword religious moderation. Research results: Most of the public opinion of influencers on twitter are positive. In the account of the nano-influencer, 11 accounts have a negative tone, and 1 account has a neutral tone regarding religious moderation. This study concludes that religious moderation is a government agenda that is socialized through the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia and all its staff. The parties who have different opinions, only a small part express their disapproval of the religious moderation program through Twitter.

Abstract

This study aims to examine audience reception of the "Kejutan Belanja Untung" promotional campaign posted by the @tokopedia Instagram account during the 2022 period. The analysis draws on Stuart Hall’s encoding/decoding reception theory and considers four key consumer psychological factors: motivation, perception, learning, and attitude. Employing a constructivist paradigm, the study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a reception analysis method. Data validity was ensured through source triangulation, and data were collected through in-depth interviews with seven informants who follow the @tokopedia Instagram account. The findings indicate that all seven informants exhibited a dominant-hegemonic reading in terms of motivation and attitude. However, their perception and learning responses varied, with some aligning with the dominant-hegemonic position and others reflecting an oppositional reading.

Abstract

This research examines the impacts of “A Plastic Ocean” film on the environmental care attitudes of Senior High School students at SMAN 2 Tangerang. This research proves that the social learning theory is effective to promote a campaign with film, which results in behavioral changes in society. The theory used in this research is Albert Bandura's social learning theory. This research utilized the positivistic paradigm. This research employed a survey explanatory method and quantitative approach. The population was Senior High school Students at SMAN 2 Tangerang. The sampling utilize a purposive sampling technique to 100 respondents, with a sampling error of 5%. The technique of data analysis utilized a simple regression analysis. The hypothesis how that there is no influence between the content of the “A Plastic Ocean” film on environmental care attitudes on students. High school students are interested in the film, while the attitude of caring for the environment is not influenced by the film.

Abstract

Stroke is a leading cause of death in Indonesia and the world.  Indonesian migrant workers (TKI) in Malaysia, also face high risks due to unhealthy lifestyles, chronic stress, and limited healthcare access.  This community service program addresses these challenges by empowering TKI through Personal Social Responsibility (PSR), fostering cooperation (gotong royong) to enhance collective well-being. The program focuses on improving health literacy through tailored stroke prevention education and enabling the community to take ownership of health initiatives via strategic communication and peer-led actions. Activities include interactive workshops, health ambassador training, development of culturally sensitive educational materials, health screenings, and peer support networks. These initiatives equip participants with essential knowledge, encourage proactive health behaviors, and promote sustainable stroke prevention strategies. The program has successfully improved health literacy among 80% of participants and trained 24 health ambassadors who actively disseminate information and advocate for healthier lifestyles. These measurable outcomes align with the program’s objectives of fostering a resilient and health-conscious community. By integrating PSR principles, this initiative strengthens the resilience of the TKI community, fostering a culture of shared responsibility in stroke prevention and overall health improvement.ABSTRAKStroke merupakan penyebab kematian utama di Indonesia dan dunia. Tenaga Kerja Indonesia (TKI) di Malaysia juga menghadapi risiko tinggi akibat gaya hidup tidak sehat, stres kronis, dan terbatasnya akses layanan kesehatan. Program pengabdian masyarakat ini menjawab tantangan tersebut dengan memberdayakan TKI melalui Personal Social Responsibility (PSR), memupuk kerja sama (gotong royong) untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan kolektif. Program ini berfokus pada peningkatan literasi kesehatan melalui edukasi pencegahan stroke yang disesuaikan dan memungkinkan masyarakat untuk mengambil kepemilikan atas inisiatif kesehatan melalui komunikasi strategis dan tindakan yang dipimpin oleh rekan sebaya. Kegiatannya meliputi lokakarya interaktif, pelatihan duta kesehatan, pengembangan materi edukasi yang peka budaya, skrining kesehatan, dan jaringan dukungan sebaya. Inisiatif-inisiatif ini membekali peserta dengan pengetahuan penting, mendorong perilaku kesehatan proaktif, dan mempromosikan strategi pencegahan stroke yang berkelanjutan. Program ini telah berhasil meningkatkan literasi kesehatan di antara 80% peserta dan melatih 24 duta kesehatan yang secara aktif menyebarluaskan informasi dan mengadvokasi gaya hidup yang lebih sehat. Hasil yang terukur ini sejalan dengan tujuan program untuk membina masyarakat yang tangguh dan sadar kesehatan. Dengan mengintegrasikan prinsip-prinsip PSR, inisiatif ini memperkuat ketahanan komunitas TKI, menumbuhkan budaya tanggung jawab bersama dalam pencegahan stroke dan peningkatan kesehatan secara keseluruhan.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to understand and describe the communication between teachers and students through Blended Learning in the implementation of PTMT at SMAN 5 Kota Sukabumi. To describe this communication, various theories are utilized, including Berlo's theory, Gestalt theory, and the concept of group communication. This study is a qualitative research conducted as a case study. Data collection is done through interviews and observations. The research subjects are teachers and students, and the observations take place at SMAN 5 Kota Sukabumi, which implements the PTMT attendance pattern on odd and even days. The researcher observes blended learning sessions conducted by several teachers during both face-to-face and online sessions, including synchronous and asynchronous PJJ methods. After observing inside the classroom during the blended learning process, the researcher conducts interviews. Then, based on the observation and interviews, the researcher describes the communication between teachers and students using the aforementioned theories. The results of this study describe and depict the communication between teachers and students through Blended Learning in the implementation of PTMT at SMAN 5 Kota Sukabumi.

Abstract

The main purpose of this journal is to describe the cultural change in the practice of Pikukuh Karuhun (The Law of Baduy people that governs their relation with nature). While most of the people of Inner Baduy (locally known as Baduy Dalam) in Cibeo still strongly clings into these ancient laws, the youths of said village have started to use technologies in their daily lives, most often to communicate with guests who planned to visit their village. The researchers of this journal tried to study this change that occurs in Cibeo’s youths, specifically about their stance on Pikukuh Karuhun as a local culture that functions to philosophically guide Baduy people on their daily lives. This study was done with ethnomethodology method which is a part qualitative method and constructive paradigm. The results of this research describe the inconsistencies in the practice of Pikukuh Karuhun by Cibeo’s youths that mostly works as local guides and porters in weekends and holidays. They use social media like WhatsApp to communicate with would-be guests before and after their arrival. Their aptitude in using such apps come from their interaction with outlanders that come to visit Cibeo. In-between their interaction with outside visitors, they autodidactly learn to operate phones and social medias as much as they could. Interestingly, researchers found that while they use technology in the form of mobile phones (something that is forbidden by their ancient laws), they only do so outside their village. They never bring their phones into the village but instead they leave it at the hand of their relatives and friends outside Cibeo.
