Abstract

Perilaku asertif merupakan salah satu keterampilan sosial dan emosional pada anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan profil perilaku asertif pada anak usia pra sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif data diperoleh melalui observasi perilaku anak selama mengikuti kegiatan di sekolah, selain itu wawancara juga dilakukan kepada guru beserta orangtua untuk memperoleh data tentang perilaku asertif yang ditunjukkan oleh anak. Penelitian dilakukan pada anak yang berusia 3 sampai 6 tahun sejumlah enam puluh anak. Pemilihan subjek penelitian menggunakan purposive sampling dengan kriteria subjek merupakan anak yang mengikuti pendidikan di lembaga PAUD dengan rentang usia 4-6 tahun. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perilaku asertif yang ditunjukkan oleh anak meliputi kemampuan untuk mengekspresikan ide, keinginan, dan perasaannya, kemampuan untuk mempertahankan diri, kemampuan untuk tidak mudah terpengaruh, serta kemampuan untuk menerima masukan atau pendapat dari orang lain. Hasil temuan menunjukkan bahwa pada setiap tahapan usia memiliki intensitas perilaku yang berbeda. Berdasarkan hasil temuan perlu digali lebih dalam mengenai factor-faktor yang mempengaruhi perilaku asertif pada anak usia dini.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on the implementation of learning. Research that explores the implementation of distance learning assessments during the pandemic is carried out using a mix-method approach. This approach is used to explore quantitative and qualitative information in depth. Quantitative data were obtained by surveying the teachers of SD N 2 Ngijo and SD Integrative Islamic Pesantren Rakyat. Qualitative data were obtained by field study and interviews with school administrators (principals and teachers) and parents of students. The results showed that based on the aspects of Online Assessment Implementation, Assessment Principles, and Reliability of the assessment instruments used in distance learning assessments, the score was more than 60%. This percentage is in the excellent category for the implementation of distance learning assessment. However, in reality, many factors have a significant influence on the implementation of distance learning assessments. Economic factors are the main factors in providing supporting facilities and infrastructure in carrying out distance learning assessments that do not take place according to concepts and theories.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to produce Cube Up games that are suitable for stimulating social emotional children aged 5-6 years. This research was conducted in five kindergartens using Research and Development design. The research and development model used is Borg and Gall which has been modified by researchers. The results of validation game experts get a percentage of 87,50 percent, 89,42 percent social emotional experts, 96,25 percent education practitioner, and field trials, get a percentage of 89,01 percent. The average results of expert validation data and field trials get a percentage of 90,03 percent. The data showed that the Cube Up game is very suitable to be used to stimulate social emotional children aged 5-6 years. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk permainan Cube Up yang layak digunakan dalam menstimulasi sosial emosional anak usia 5-6 tahun. Penelitian ini dilakukan di lima TK menggunakan desain Penelitian dan Pengembangan. Model penelitian dan pengembangan yang dipakai yaitu Borg dan Gall yang telah dimodifikasi oleh peneliti. Hasil validasi ahli permainan mendapatkan persentase sebesar 87,50 persen, ahli materi sosial emosional 89,42 persen, praktisi pendidikan 96,25 persen, dan uji coba lapangan diperoleh persentase sebesar 89,01 persen. Hasil rata-rata data validasi ahli dan uji coba lapangan mendapatkan persentase sebesar 90,03 persen. Disimpulkan, permainan Cube Up sangat layak digunakan untuk menstimulasi sosial emosional anak usia 5-6.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the communication accommodation strategies used by kindergarten teachers during the learning process and the patterns used. This research is a quantitative research with a type of survey research. Data collection techniques using closed questionnaires are distributed online through google forms. The results showed that kindergarten teachers who were respondents to the study used communication accommodation strategies in the learning process, both convergence and divergence. The majority of teachers use convergence strategies rather than divergence strategies. That is, the majority of kindergarten teachers organize, adjust or modify their communication behavior according to the characteristics of the pupils.

Abstract

Financial literacy merupakan salah satu bentuk kecakapan hidup yang menacakup cara menggunakan sumber daya keuangan dengan bijak. Financial litarcy perlu diberikan sejak usia pra sekolah agar anak dapat mencapai kesejahteraan hidup di usia dewasa. Kecakapan tentantang financial literacy pada anak usia dini perlu melibatkan orangtua sebagai orang yang paling terlibat dengan anak serta memiliki pengaruh langsung terhadap kondisi finansial pada anak. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dilakukan dengan metode participatory action research yang melibatkan secara aktif orangtua siswa di RA Sunan Ampel 02.Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan melalui tahapan identifikasi masalah, perencanaan kegiatan, pelaksanaan kegiatan dan evaluasi. Hasil eevaluasi menunjukkan setelah mengikuti kegiatan pengabdian orangtua mememahami manfaat, ruang, lingkup, serta bagaimana cara membelajarkan financial literacy pada anak anak usia pra sekolah.

Abstract

Purpose – Educational institutions play a crucial role in addressing environmental problems through Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) for early childhood. This research aims to identify effective methods for implementing sustainable education goals in environmental learning for young children by developing an environmental learning model. Design/methods/approach – This research and development study utilized Borg & Gall's development model, simplified for efficiency in terms of energy, time, and cost. The study focused on the validation stage, with testing and dissemination planned for subsequent research. The product was designed based on an initial needs analysis. Currently, environmental learning is limited to cognitive abilities only, lacking additional skills or habits imparted to the children. The product was validated through a Forum Discussion Group with Jakarta Bisa School and Gaharu Nature School in Bandung. Findings – Validation results indicate that environmental education can begin with character development in children. Jakarta Bisa School can implement the Green Attitude, which embodies values such as Life, Love, Responsibility, the Universe, and Sustainability. Additionally, learning should involve more direct experiences, allowing children to observe the natural life cycle, environmental care, and the sustainability of natural resources. Research implications/limitations – This research requires an extended period for designing and implementing the environmental learning model. By involving multiple stakeholders, it has the potential to change teachers' and parents' perceptions in educating early childhood. Practical implications – Environmental learning is essential for fostering future change. Children will grow with a strong understanding of the importance of love and care for the universe and a sense of responsibility for life within it. This approach helps cultivate environmentally conscious individuals who are equipped to address global challenges and contribute to a sustainable future. Originality/value – This research contributes to the field of education by promoting a better future through learning aligned with ESD goals. Abstract

This study examines parents' perceptions of the importance of sexual education in early childhood and the demographic factors influencing these views. Using multiple regression analysis, a quantitative survey was conducted with 100 Malang City parents with children aged 4-6 years. The results show that 84% of parents held positive perceptions, while 16% expressed negative views. The F-test yielded a calculated F value of 26.6 with a significance level of 0.000 (<0.05), indicating that gender, age, and parental education significantly influence perceptions of sexual education. Parents with negative views often cited traditional beliefs about child development, considering children unprepared for topics on sexuality. Cultural factors, a lack of exposure to sexual education during their childhoods, and insufficient knowledge about appropriate content for young children further contributed to this stance. The findings suggest that sexual education for early childhood must consider comprehensive education for parents, ensuring they understand appropriate boundaries and materials. Demographic factors such as age, gender, and education must also be addressed when designing educational programs. Limitations of this study include its focus on a single city and a relatively small sample size, which may restrict the generalizability of the findings. Future research should expand the geographic scope and examine other factors, such as socioeconomic status or cultural diversity. Addressing these limitations could provide deeper insights into how to design effective sexual education programs that respect cultural contexts while fostering understanding and acceptance among parents.

Abstract

The problem of malnutrition in children remains a controversial topic of discussion and an unresolved challenge, especially concerning parental knowledge. Parents must be knowledgeable about balanced nutrition before proceeding to the implementation stage. The purpose of this study was to determine the extent of parental knowledge about the 2014 Balanced Nutrition Guidelines that were developed by the Ministry of Health in Indonesia. In order to collect data, the questionnaire was distributed to 80 respondents who were parents of students at Al-Maarif Singosari Kindergarten in Malang Regency. The questionnaire focused on evaluating parents' understanding of the recommendations for a balanced diet. The research findings revealed that 64% of parents demonstrated a strong comprehension of the balanced diet recommendations, while 36% exhibited a moderate understanding. However, these results are insufficient to ensure the effective implementation of balanced nutrition in children unless the knowledge is consistently translated into practice. Further research is needed on the relationship between parents' understanding of balanced nutrition and children's nutritional levels.

Abstract

Program pemberdayaan masyarakat untuk makanan pendamping ASI di Desa Pandansari Lor, Kecamatan Jabung, Kabupaten Malang, bertujuan untuk meningkatkan ketahanan ekonomi keluarga sekaligus mencegah stunting pada anak-anak. Desa ini memiliki potensi pertanian yang kaya dengan komoditas seperti singkong, pisang, durian, dan tebu. Namun, data menunjukkan bahwa masih terdapat kasus stunting, yang sebagian besar disebabkan oleh rendahnya asupan nutrisi pada anak serta kurangnya pengetahuan ibu tentang nutrisi yang tepat. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini melibatkan ibu rumah tangga dan kader Posyandu, dengan fokus pada pelatihan pembuatan makanan pendamping ASI dari bahan-bahan lokal yang mudah diakses dan terjangkau. Selain itu, pelatihan ini juga membuka peluang ekonomi bagi para ibu di desa untuk menciptakan usaha rumahan melalui produksi makanan pendamping ASI. Hasil dari program ini menunjukkan bahwa para ibu memiliki pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang pentingnya gizi seimbang bagi anak-anak dan termotivasi untuk mengembangkan bisnis makanan pendamping ASI yang berpotensi meningkatkan pendapatan keluarga. Program ini tidak hanya berfokus pada peningkatan kesehatan anak, tetapi juga memperkuat ketahanan ekonomi keluarga melalui pemberdayaan perempuan. Keberhasilan program ini diharapkan menjadi model pemberdayaan masyarakat di desa-desa lain yang memiliki masalah serupa. Monitoring dan evaluasi akan dilakukan untuk memastikan keberlanjutan program dalam jangka panjang.

Abstract

Sosial dan budaya memberikan pengaruh kepada masyarakat terkait dengan perrsepsi pengasuhan anak. Peran ayah dalam pengasuhan anak masih sering diabaikan dengan menganggap bahwa tuga mengasuh anak hanya dimiliki oleh ibu. Oleh karenanya tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini untuk membuka wawasan yang lebih luas kepada masyarakat, khususnya wali murid TK Islam Al Maarif Singosari terkait dengan pentingnya keterlibatan seorang ayah dalam pengasuhan seorang anak. Kegiatan edukasi menggunakan metode diskusi dan tanya jawab dengan membuka seluas luasnya kesempatan berdiskusi. Kegiatan ini dapat meningkatkan antusias dan pengetahuan wali murid terhadap pentingnya keterlibatan seorang ayah dalam pengasuhan. Keterlibatan seorang ayah dalam pengasuhan dapat memberikan kontribusi penting bagi setiap tahapan perkembangan anak dan akan mempengaruhi anak hingga ia menjadi dewasa.
