Abstract

Abstract

The use of technology is very important in learning in the pandemic era. Various efforts were made to equip teachers to optimize the use of learning media. One of these efforts is to organize training on making interactive quizzes based on information technology which is held at SMP Negeri 1 Jaten. This training aims to provide insight related to learning media so that teachers are able to improve their abilities in making interactive quizzes and have a good impact on the future learning process. The method used in this training consists of three stages, namely preparation, implementation and evaluation. This training was conducted on May 6 – May 7, 2021 and was attended by 32 teachers for grades VII, VIII and IX consisting of subject teachers. The result of this training activity is that the teacher understands the training material well so that all the information obtained can be directly put into practice. Teachers get material that is very relevant to the needs in the classroom and can support learning activities. In addition, teachers get new insights related to learning media that can be applied in preparing interactive quizzes creatively and innovatively.

Abstract

In the digitalization era, the learning process has begun to use blended learning. Blended learning is carried out face-to-face directly or indirectly. Students are expected to be able to study independently. In basic electrical practice courses, students have difficulty learning independently. This study aims to develop learning videos to improve student competencies. The development model used is the ADDIE model. The stages of development carried out are Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The feasibility test of the basic electrical learning video in terms of motivation is 90.29%, convenience is 88.50% and material is 86.75% The feasibility of basic electrical learning videos as learning media is included in the "very feasible" category. This learning media can be used to support the learning process of basic electrical practices.

Abstract

The main problem of private schools is the difficulty of finding new learners (NL), exacerbated by the Covid-19 pandemic, making private schools even more slumped, including private Centers of Excellence Vocational High School (VHS CoE). Research objectives is to analyze; (1) promotion strategies for the private VHS CoE, (2) the impact of the VHS CoE on the interest of NL, and (3) the benefits of the VHS CoE. Qualitative descriptive research methods. The research sample was four private VHS CoE. Stages of research; (1) formulate problems, (2) determine the subject, (3) compile interview guidelines, (4) collect data, (5) sort and analyze data, (6) make conclusions. The results: (1) the private VHS CoE conduct direct socialization to pre-VHS, school residents, related institutions, and the community, and form a management team. Direct socialization is the most effective promotion strategy compared to other strategies, (2) the VHS CoE has an impact on NL interest fluctuatingly. The school program is the main consideration for NL to register at VHS CoE, while according to interests and talents is the main reason for NL to choose a flagship expertise program, and (3) the benefits of the VHS CoE, among others; improving the quality of schools, making it easier to get a job, and according to industry needs. The results of the study are expected to be the consideration of relevant agencies in making policies for the VHS CoE and for preparing strategies for capturing NL for private vocational schools.

Abstract

ABSTRACTBased on the results of observations and interviews with lecturers in the electrical circuit practice course, data was obtained, namely that there was no learning media in the form of a trainer kit which made it easier for students to be skilled in soldering and the need to increase student motivation in the learning process of electrical circuit practice. The stages of this research method are using the ADDIE approach (ADDIE Approach). The ADDIE approach includes Analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate. The results of the media validity test can conclude that the media aspect obtains a minimum value of 87.5% and a maximum value of 90%. The results of the material validity test can be concluded that the material aspects obtain a value of 88.40% for the suitability of the material and a value of 90.2% for the quality of learning. The results of the feasibility test from the user can conclude that the due diligence test from the user obtains a score of 89.80% in terms of motivation, 88.0% in terms of convenience, and 90.3% in terms of material. Based on the results of the validity test of the media, material and feasibility it can be concluded that the PCB Solder trainer kit is in the "very feasible" category.ABSTRAKBerdasarkan hasil observasi dan wawancara dengan dosen pengampu mata kuliah praktik rangkaian listrik didapatkan data yaitu belum adanya media pembelajaran berbentuk trainer kit yang memudahkan peserta didik untuk terampil dalam soldering dan perlunya meningkatkan motivasi mahasiswa dalam proses pembelajaran praktik rangkaian listrik. Abstract

In the dynamic landscape of digitalization, the fusion of Internet of Things (IoT) tech-nology with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) has emerged as a pivotal avenue, promising enriched practical experiences and heightened comprehension. This paper navi-gates through recent studies elucidating the applications of IoT-based PLCs in diverse con-texts, from smart home automation to traffic control and resource management. Notable contributions include remote monitoring systems, smart traffic control, water level moni-toring, and automated greenhouses. Acknowledging persistent challenges in understanding and implementing PLCs, this research introduces an innovative IoT-based PLC Trainer Kit. The kit aims to elevate prac-tical learning by providing hands-on experiences, refining skills, and optimizing applica-tions across various domains. Emphasizing the pivotal role of practical training in PLC education, the study conducts a needs analysis, followed by the design, development, and testing phases of the IoT-based PLC Trainer. The prototype, employing an Omron CPM1A PLC, pneumatic components, sensors, and an intuitive interface, undergoes meticulous testing, affirming its readiness for deployment. The development of the IoT-based PLC Trainer marks a significant achievement, ad-dressing the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. Through metic-ulous design, material selection, and testing, the trainer demonstrates optimal functionali-ty and user-friendliness. Anticipating its deployment in educational institutions and in-dustrial setups, the trainer is poised to contribute to the realm of industrial automation, offering a practical understanding of PLC applications within the Internet of Things con-text. This project not only signifies technical expertise but also bridges the gap between theory and practice in the dynamic domain of IoT-driven programmable logic control-lers
