Abstract

Abstract

The rapid growth of the global Muslim travel market has positioned halal tourism as a strategic segment of the international tourism industry. Despite this development, empirical studies integrating Muslim-friendly service quality, eco-friendly destination practices, and Sharia-based price fairness in explaining visitor satisfaction and destination loyalty remain limited. This study aims to examine the effects of Muslim-Friendly Service Quality, Eco-Friendly Destination Practices, and Sharia Price Fairness on Visitor Satisfaction and their subsequent influence on Revisit Intention and Destination Loyalty at halal tourism destinations in Banjarmasin, Indonesia. A quantitative research approach was employed using a survey of 250 tourists who had previously visited Muslim-friendly tourism destinations. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire using a five-point Likert scale and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The findings reveal that Muslim-friendly service quality, eco-friendly destination practices, and Sharia price fairness exert positive and significant effects on visitor satisfaction. Furthermore, Muslim-friendly service quality, Sharia price fairness, and visitor satisfaction significantly enhance revisit intention and destination loyalty. Although eco-friendly destination practices do not have a significant direct effect on destination loyalty, they exert a significant indirect effect through visitor satisfaction, confirming its mediating role. These findings underscore the importance of integrating Sharia-compliant service quality, environmental sustainability, and fair pricing strategies to strengthen the competitiveness and long-term sustainability of halal tourism destinations.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the SLIK service context, specifically the rising demand for information, inquiries, and complaint consultations from consumers regarding SLIK records, debt collector behavior, and external fraud—such as scams, account breaches, and skimming (identity theft). Given the growing number of business records and individuals relying on financial information for loans and other transactions, assessing SLIK's effectiveness has become increasingly important for enhancing customer satisfaction. The objective of this study is to determine the extent to which the independent variables influence the dependent variable, both partially and simultaneously. It's a quantitative study. The population consists of 3,475 individuals, based on the number of walk-in consumers who visited the OJK SLIK service in 2024, while the sample comprises 44 respondents selected via random sampling. Data collection was conducted via a Likert-scale questionnaire. The results indicate that, when analyzed individually, the "Service Role" variable does not have a significant effect (significance value: -2.086). The "Perceived Ease" variable has a significant effect (p-value: 6.36), as does the "Perceived Risk" variable (p-value: 3.183). Conversely, the "Facilities" variable does not have a significant effect (significance value: 0.633). However, when analyzed simultaneously, the variables of Service Role, Perceived Ease, Perceived Risk, and Facilities exert a significant influence on purchasing decisions, with an F-test significance value of 0.000 (α = 0.05).

Abstract

The issue of sustainability of green products has garnered significant attention within both societal and business spheres. In essence, green products constitute a crucial consideration in marketing. The development of various marketing methods has contributed to diverse public perceptions as well as eco-friendly products widely available on the market. Therefore, this study aimed to determine the influence of green practice, green image, green trust, and purchase intention. Furthermore, this study also investigated green image and green trust as a mediator in the relationship between green practices and purchase intention while also exploring the moderating role of environmental awareness in this relationship.  A total of 393 Muslim consumers from 10 provinces with the largest Muslim majority in Indonesia were selected to fill out an online questionnaire. The collected data was processed using AMOS-v26 and SPSS v25. The results demonstrated that green image and green trust mediate the relationship between green practices and green purchase intention. Meanwhile, environmental awareness was found to moderate the indirect relationship among the variables of green practices, green image, green trust, and green purchase intention. These findings contribute to the strengthening of self-congruity theory. This study also contributes to theoretical and contextual knowledge related to the perceptions and behavior of Muslim consumers regarding the consumption of green products, offering valuable business considerations for practitioners.
