Abstract

Independent Learning-Independent Campus (MB-KM) is a policy that has been issued by the government and is contained in the Regulation of the Minister of Education and Culture Number 3 of 2020 related to the National Standards for Higher Education. Students don't only have one skill, but also several skills through the MBKM program. In addition, lecturers are required not only to teach related content but also to improve soft skills and implementation so that students can achieve the expected graduate achievement targets and be ready to work. The purpose of this study was to determine the response of students, lecturers and education staff to the MBKM program, and the implementation of the Tridharma at Alma Ata University. This type of research is qualitative cross-sectional study and data collection using a questionnaire survey online method.  The sample of this study was students and lecturers at Alma Ata University, until the completion of the study, the sample size was 855 students and 114 lecturers. The survey was conducted online through the MBKM implementation questionnaire with the type of closed-ended question. The results of this study indicate that students are excited to participate in MBKM activities, particularly within the framework of the internship program and the real work lecture (KKN). In addition, it is known that there is still a low understanding of students, several lecturers, educational staff, and partners regarding policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for MBKM activities made by both the University and the Study Program level. The socialization associated with this program must be ongoing with the university community and educational partners. The response and implementation of MBKM that has been carried out well will be able to produce graduates with hard skills and soft skills who are ready to face the world of work independently, innovatively, and tough.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of thematic collaborative learning on critical thinking skills. This research is a quasi-experimental study with a pretest-posttest control group design. The research subjects were fourth grade students of Mangunan State Elementary School, Yogyakarta city. The sample was selected based on random sampling while the instrument used in this study was an Essay test to measure critical thinking skills. The data that has been collected is then analyzed using the t-test. The results showed that there are differences in critical thinking skills in thematic learning between students who learn to use collaborative learning and students who learn to use expository. Students who study using thematic collaborative learning have a higher level of critical thinking skills than students who learn using the expository learning model.

Abstract

Based on the study, computational thinking skills are influenced by science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) skills, and there is a relationship between computational thinking skills and 21st-century skills. However, studies related to STEM attitudes, computational thinking and their impact on 21st-century skills are still very few and limited. The purpose of our study was to examine the impact of STEM attitudes and computational thinking on 21st-century. This research uses a quantitative approach. The participants of this study were students of a vocational school in Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta, Indonesia (N=290). Research data in STEM attitude, computational thinking, and 21st-century skills using a questionnaire. The data were analyzed using structural equation modeling techniques using the Smart PLS application. The results of the study obtained several findings, including: the model proposed in this study was valid; STEM attitude has a positive and significant effect on computational thinking; and computational thinking has a positive and significant effect on 21-st century skills. It can be argued that when STEM attitudes and computational thinking are more positive, 21-st century skills will improve. These findings have implications that curriculum development and STEM learning practices have to develop students’ computational thinking skills and 21st-century skills, especially in vocational schools.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to determine the extent to which the implementation of online PKS training is successful. His study used an evaluation with Kirkpatrick's model approach to measure aspects of reaction, learning, behavior and results. As a result, 91.65 percent of training participants showed a high positive reaction to the implementation of the training, and all participants showed behavioral changes in attitudes and actions when carrying out the task of managing the learning and education process in schools. In addition, using non-parametric Mann-Whitney analysis, it can be concluded that there has been an increase in the knowledge of PKS training participants on the aspects of managerial abilities, entrepreneurial development and supervisory skills. The results of the study explained that all training participants passed the training with very satisfying results. Thus, the online mode PKS training has been implemented and resulted in strengthening the capacity of school principals in various required competencies. It is recommended, for the next implementation, it should focus on using pedagogical flexibility to produce a profile of school principals who have a professional vitality construction. Keywords: Capacity Building, Kirkpatrick Model and PKS Training.
