Abstract

This present study discussed the marginalization of the Parwa Leather Puppet in Gianyar Regency in the globalization era. It discussed the form, the causing factors, and the impact of marginalization. The qualitative interpretative method was used to analyze the problems of the study. The data were collected using the techniques of observation, in-depth interview, documentary study, and library research. The data were qualitatively analyzed. The results of the study showed that there were several forms of marginalization occurring to the Parwa Leather Puppet ‘Wayang Kulit Parwa’ (WKP) in Gianyar Regency. This was indicated by the change in the context of performance and indication of marginalization. The forms of the context of performance were made up of the facts that (a) the viewers shifted from the young generation to the old generation; (b) it used to be performed as an offering but now it was performed as a commodity or comodification; (c) technology played more important roles (the lighting, sound system, and the material for making the puppet), and d) the accompanying gamelan orchestra changed. Marginalization was indicated by (a) the fall in the frequency of performance, (b) WKP was getting less popular in the community; (c) fewer people were getting interested in WKP performance; and (e) WKP was getting less respected. The factors responsible for the marginalization of WKP in Gianyar Regency were the facts that less people were interested in WKP, the decrease in the WKP puppeteer’s activities, the policy issued by the traditional institution was weak, and the supervision made by the local government of Gianyar was weak. In addition, WKP was less prospective; the current community needed more amusement than guidance, the rise in the impact of foreign cultural art, more and more sources of modern amusements were made available, and the impact of telecommunication technology. The marginalization of WKP in Gianyar Regency led to impacts and meanings. One of the impacts was that the puppeteers showed their resistances through creative, defensive, creative, innovative and transformative movements.

Abstract

The education system should be a common thread between socio-cultural natural life and new generations of Bali. In this connection a learning concept is needed that brings those individuals closer to socio-cultural natural experiences. In the Tattwa texts it is explained that the first in an effort to obtain true knowledge is the concept of ‘pratyakṣa’. Through pratyakṣa, the students are invited to always be directly connected in a process of experiencing hermeneutically with the socio-cultural life of Bali. Thus the tradition and new generation of Bali go hand in hand in a hermeneutical situation of understanding each other.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Hinduism is one of the majority beliefs held by the people in Bali. Hinduism is a religion that has the oldest age and is the religion that was first recognized by humans. Hinduism originated in India, this religion is a contest between the religions of the Aryans and the Dravidians. The Aryans who came from Asia Tengah succeeded in urging the native Indians of the Dravina. There was an assimilation between the Aryans and the Dravidians which in turn gaverise to a generation called the Hinduism. The word Hindu comes from the word Sindhu which means river. Thisword refers to the Indus river which is a source of water for the life around it. Sources of Hindu teachings are found in the Veda scriptures (consisting of four books), Brahmans (an interpretations of the Veda), and Upanisads (containing the philosophical foundations of the relationship between human and God). Bali has many traditions. Tradition is a form of action that is repeated in the same way. The word "tradition" is taken from the Latin "Tradere" which means to transmit from generation to generation to be preserved. Tradition is generally known as a form of habit that has a series of ancient historical events. Each tradition was developed for some purpose, such as political goals or cultural goals over a period of time. In Bali, there is a very strong tradition, oneof which is the tradition in Banjar Buruan, Tampak Siring, Gianyar Bali, namely "Mesbes Bangke" whose tradition is quite extreme to do. The tradition of Mesbes Bangke Bali is not carried out all the time before the Ngaben ceremonyand this custom is only carried out on corpses who undergo a personal Ngabenceremony.

Abstract

Kata kunci : Keberadaan, Pasraman formal, Desa Adat Abstract The actualization of the mandate of the national education law is the implementation of Religious Education learning at every level of formal education. Likewise with Hindu religious education the purpose of Hindu religious education itself is to increase Sradha and Bhakti in the presence of Ida Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa. However, in its implementation there are still things that cause the process of Hinduism education not to run as expected. So to answer these challenges, community participation in creating learning is still very much needed. This is actualized through learning which is called boarding school. Of course, the organization of this pasraman is under the umbrella of a juridical basis, namely the regulation of the Minister of Religion No. 56 of 2014 concerning religious education. This aims to open up community participation in improving the quality of Hindu religious education for students. In the midst of the government's incessant desire to be able to organize Pasraman-based education, up to now there is still very little formal Pasraman in traditional villages in Bali, one of which is in the city of Denpasar. Abstract

The important role of technology in human life is of course very large, technology can be used in all fields, one of which is in educational media. The use of technology in educational media is a progressive step in an effort to keep up with the times. In accordance with the jargon that is often raised, the function of technology is to lighten what is heavy, bring what is far away. Likewise, the use of technology in education, the presence of technology is to help students more easily access learning materials. One of the technological media that can be utilized in the educational process is the QR Code media. QR Code itself stands for Quick Response Code, which is a two-dimensional barcode introduced by the Japanese company Denso Wave in 1994. One of the problems currently being faced by the Tinggarsari Village Community is the lack of public knowledge about the Bebaturan temple in the village. Bebaturan temple itself is a very ancient temple and has differences from the temples that are currently developing, so that the information data is still very minimal and is only known by a handful of people. So that the scattered data needs to be collected and presented in writing. The final data is then presented in the form of a QR Code so that people can easily access it. The problem solving method used is the data triangulation method.

Abstract

Background. Learning based on local wisdom is gaining importance in education, especially within the Independent Curriculum, which allows adapting materials to local contexts. Modules based on local wisdom are believed to enhance student engagement and understanding, but empirical evidence regarding their effectiveness on learning outcomes remains limited. Purpose. This study aims to analyze the influence of the use of learning modules based on local wisdom on student learning outcomes in the implementation of the Independent Curriculum. Method. This study uses a quasi-experimental design involving two groups: an experimental group that uses a module based on local wisdom and a control group that uses a conventional module. The sample consisted of 200 students from four purposively selected junior high schools. The instruments used are learning outcome tests and attitude questionnaires. Results. Experimental group experienced significant improvements in cognitive, affective, and psychomotor learning outcomes compared to the control group. The average post-test scores of the experimental group were higher than those of the control group, with greater improvements in class engagement and positive attitudes towards learning. The use of modules based on local wisdom also strengthens students' ability to apply learning concepts into daily life, especially those related to local cultural values. Conclusion. Learning module based on local wisdom is effective in improving student learning outcomes and is relevant to the implementation of the Independent Curriculum. This approach not only improves academic understanding, but also supports the development of students' character and social skills.
