Abstract

Integrative holistic learning is a process of giving full attention to early childhood to improve the quality and ability of children which includes providing nutritional health education services, protection, care and welfare. This study aims to determine the integrative holistic learning strategy in early childhood education. The research method used by researchers is a quantitative method with an observation model, namely conducting direct interviews with teachers. The results of this study indicate that it is important to add insight and broad knowledge about integrative holistic learning strategies in early childhood education. So that it can help solve existing problems and shortcomings regarding integrative holistic strategies in early childhood education, and can form an outstanding and quality generation. From this research it can be concluded that integrative holistic learning strategies in early childhood education are very important and necessary to help the role of a teacher and parents to improve the quality and achievement of children. The limitation in this study is that researchers only conducted research on integrative holistic learning strategies in early childhood education. Therefore, the researcher hopes that future researchers can conduct further research related to integrative holistic learning strategies in early childhood education to be further developed. Researchers also recommend that future researchers use the results of this study as a reference in conducting research on interactive holistic learning strategies in early childhood education.

Abstract

In this era, education is needed to support children in continuing the next generation of the nation. In education today, an update in education is needed, in order to change education in Indonesia to be more advanced. To achieve the goal of more advanced education, there must be a curriculum update in Indonesia. In February 2022 last year, the Ministry of Education and Culture launched an independent curriculum where the independent curriculum method refers more to the talents and interests of children. This independent curriculum allows students to choose the lessons they like or are most interested in. The purpose of this study is to evaluate early childhood learning on the use of the independent curriculum. This research method uses quantitative methods, this data is obtained from interviews to kindergartens. The results showed that the independent curriculum is very good in supporting students' learning in improving skills, character, by using flexible learning. From this research it can be concluded that the use of an independent curriculum for early childhood is very effective and efficient. The independent curriculum leads to the development of skills and character, focuses on essential material, and uses flexible learning. The limitation of this research is that researchers only conducted research in one kindergarten in 50 cities in West Sumatra Province, researchers hope that future researchers can conduct research with a wider range so that they can continue this research. This study also recommends to future researchers as a reference in conducting research on the use of Merdeka Curriculum in Early Childhood.

Abstract

Background. Along with the development of the times, the learning process in education is increasingly advanced. Especially in this digital era, where the use of online learning platforms is rampant, it is used as an alternative to improve learning effectiveness. The main aspect of using this online learning platform is student participation. Purpose. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of student participation on the use of online learning platforms in terms of improving student learning outcomes. Method. The method used in this study uses a quantitative approach. The research data was obtained from the results of questionnaire filling by students. The sample used in this study is students in schools that use online learning platforms. Results. The results of this study show that with student participation in learning using online learning platforms can improve student learning outcomes. On average, students provide active participation when learning takes place using the online learning platform. Conclusion. The conclusion of this research is that there is student participation through the use of online learning platforms which has a positive influence on students in terms of improving student learning outcomes continuously. Therefore, an educator must be more able to encourage students to participate more actively in learning and introduce students to online learning platforms. The limitation of this study is that researchers did not go directly to schools to conduct research but rather by distributing questionnaires.

Abstract

Background. Chat GPT is a natural language model developed by OpenAI, based on the GPT (Generative Pretrained Transformer) architecture. It is renowned for its ability to generate text that closely resembles human writing, including in chat and conversational interactions. In the growing digital era, artificial intelligence technology is increasingly playing an important role in various fields, including education. Purpose. This study aims to identify the benefits of using Chat GPT in learning in higher education and how its use can improve the quality of learning, accelerate the assessment process, increase student engagement, improve teaching efficiency, and facilitate student understanding. Method. The research method used is quantitative by using google form which will produce data in the form of numbers. By using google form, a questionnaire will be made and distributed to students in higher education. Results. The results show that the use of Chat GPT has significant benefits in learning in higher education. The use of Chat GPT can improve the quality of learning, accelerate the assessment process, increase student engagement, and improve teaching efficiency. Conclusion. The conclusion from this study is that the use of Chat GPT in a college setting can be beneficial in supporting learning in an innovative and effective way. However, the limitation of this study is that the researcher was only able to conduct a study of a few students in higher education. Therefore, the researcher hopes that future research can be conducted with a wider scope. The researcher also recommends that future research can be a reference material in conducting research related to the utilisation of Chat GPT in supporting learning in higher education.

Abstract

Background. Learning in early childhood is an important foundation in the development of cognitive abilities, especially in numeracy skills. However, challenges in teaching the concept of counting effectively are often faced by educators. Interesting learning media, such as number smart boards, are expected to help overcome this obstacle. This media is designed to make it easier for children to understand the concept of numbers and basic operations of mathematics through fun and interactive methods. Purpose. This study aims to test the effectiveness of the use of number smart board learning media in improving numeracy skills in early childhood. In addition, this study also focuses on how this media affects children's motivation to learn and whether there is a significant difference between the use of this media and conventional learning methods. Method. This study uses a quantitative approach with an experimental design. The subjects of the study were children aged 4-6 years in a kindergarten who were divided into two groups, namely an experimental group that used the media of a number smart board and a control group that used traditional learning methods. Data collection was carried out through observations, numeracy tests, and questionnaires to measure children's motivation to learn. Results. The results showed that children who learned to use a number smart board experienced a significant improvement in numeracy compared to the control group. In addition, the motivation to learn in the experimental group was also seen to be higher. Conclusion. The use of number smart board learning media has been proven to be effective in improving early childhood numeracy skills. This media is also able to increase children's learning motivation, making it an effective alternative to conventional learning methods.

Abstract

Background. In the era of globalization, cross-cultural communication skills have become increasingly essential due to the rise in intercultural interactions. As societies become more interconnected, the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate across cultures is vital. This research emphasizes the importance of fostering multicultural competence and enhancing cross-cultural communication skills through technology-based learning programs. Purpose. The study aims to explore how ubiquitous learning can improve multicultural competence and cross-cultural communication skills. It seeks to understand the impact of technology-driven learning on enhancing participants' ability to navigate and engage in diverse cultural contexts. Method. A mixed-methods design was employed, combining quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews. The participants included students from various cultural backgrounds. The quantitative data were collected through pre- and post-intervention surveys to assess changes in cross-cultural communication skills, while qualitative data were gathered through interviews to capture in-depth insights into the participants' experiences and perceptions of the learning program. Results. The results demonstrated a significant improvement in participants' cross-cultural communication skills, with scores increasing from 65 before the intervention to 82 after the intervention. The qualitative analysis revealed positive themes, such as increased cultural understanding and greater self-confidence in interacting with people from diverse backgrounds. Conclusion. The study concludes that a holistic and collaborative learning approach can have a profound impact on improving multicultural competence. The research highlights the effectiveness of technology-based learning in fostering cross-cultural communication skills and making educational curricula more inclusive and relevant to the needs of participants in a multicultural environment. This study contributes to the development of more inclusive educational programs that better equip students to engage in global and multicultural contexts.
