Abstract

Home and environment are basic needs for a family. Flats should be able to become livable dwellings seen from how the environmental sanitation conditions are because the environment plays an essential role in improving the health status of residents and the community around the environment. This study aimed to describe Environmental Sanitation Rusunawa Oeba Fatubesi Village, Kota Lama District, Kupang City; the variables studied were clean water networks, rainwater sewers, wastewater sewers, and garbage dumps, and fire extinguishers. This type of research is descriptive and qualitative. The population is 80 families who live in Oeba flats. Sampling used a total sampling technique so that the sample was 80 households of the residents of the Oeba flats. The results showed that the clean water network had met the requirements (19%), the rainwater sewer did not meet the requirements (88%), the sewerage had met the requirements (100%), and the garbage disposal did not meet the requirements (75%), and fire extinguishers do not meet the requirements (100%). The conclusion from the results of this study is that the environment of Rusunawa Oeba, Fatubesi Village, Kota Lama District, and Kupang City as a whole does not meet the requirements. It is expected that all residents of Rusunawa will take better care of the cleanliness of their living environment by not littering, sorting waste before it is disposed of in landfills, and providing a trash can for each of their dwellings.

Abstract

Tempat-tempat umum yang wajib menyelenggarakan penerapan sanitasi termasuk Hotel. Sanitasi perhotelan menitikberatkan pada kenyaman fisik dan mental penghuninya sebagaimana diatur dalam Permenkes No. 80/Menkes/Per/II/1990 tentang persyaratan kesehatan hotel. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis hubungan pengetahuan, sikap, dan tindakan dari karyawan terhadap penerapan sanitasi hotel Non Bintang di Kabupaten Ende. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Survey Analitik dengan menggunakan rancangan Cross Sectional Study. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh karyawan hotel di Kabupaten Ende berjumlah 188 orang. Penentuan sampel menggunakan teknik Proporsional Sampling yaitu berjumlah 99 orang. Analisis data menggunakan analisis univariat dan bivariat dengan uji Chi-Square. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan bahwa karyawan memiliki 52,52% pengetahuan baik (p-value= 0,024), 53,53% sikap positif (p-value= 0,031), dan 51,52% tindakan tidak baik (p-value= 0,031) terhadap penerapan sanitasi hotel. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara pengetahuan, sikap, dan tindakan karyawan terhadap penerapan sanitasi hotel Non Bintang di Kabupaten Ende.

Abstract

Dug wells are a source of clean water that is widely used in Indonesia. This is in accordance with data obtained from BPS for 2020, where 2020 as many as 33.44% of households in Indonesia still use wells as a source of clean water. Clean water sources from wells are water sources that are easily contaminated with E-coli or colcoliformcteria. This is because the sanitary conditions of the wells are not in accordance with health requirements. This study aims to describe the sanitary conditions of dug wells with bacteriological content in dug well water. This research is descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The research was conducted in the working area of ​​the Sikumana Health Center, Kupang City, from August to September 2022. The sample in this study was 34 dug wells. Data analysis in this research is univariate data analysis. The results showed that the sanitary conditions of dug wells in the Sikumana Health Center work area, Kupang City in 2022, namely 14.7% of dug wells had a low risk of contamination, 47% had a moderate risk of contamination, 32.3% had a high risk of contamination, and as many as 5.8% has a very high risk of contamination. The results of the research on the bacteriological content of dug well water showed that out of 34 samples of dug well water, 58.8% of dug well water contained E-coli bacteria. Health promotion efforts and guidance to the community are needed to overcome the problem of dug-well sanitation.
