Abstract

Entrepreneurial activities in Indonesian agriculture, especially food crops, are still carried out traditionally. It is different from that in Mlatiharjo Village, Gajah District, Demak Regency, where people who work as rice farmers who jointly built the Citra Kinaraya Multi-Business Cooperative in which there are business activities such as rice cultivation, rice production and rice marketing using a touch of innovation and supported by the use of modern technology so as to produce quality and competitive rice which is named Beras Melati. In developing these business activities, farmers will not be separated from farming motivation and entrepreneurship within themselves so that they can build a business activity that can continue to survive in the midst of advances in agricultural science and technology. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between farmers' motivation to join cooperatives and entrepreneurship in farming with perceptions of the success of cooperatives. This research uses a quantitative descriptive approach. The research sample was taken by purposive sampling method and using Rank Spearman correlation analysis tool. The results showed that all independent variables had a positive and significant correlation with perceptions of cooperative success. The motivation variable of farmers joining cooperatives has a strong relationship with cooperative success while entrepreneurship in farming seen from the innovation variable has a weak relationship, the risk-taking variable has a moderate relationship and managerial ability also has a moderate relationship with business success in cooperatives.

Abstract

Floriculture is a sub-sector of horticulture that has great potential as a business. One type of floriculture is white jasmine (Jasminum sambac) known as the flower of the nation (Puspa Bangsa). This plant is widely used by the Indonesian society for both traditional and religious ceremonies. In addition, it is also a commodity that potentially increases the volume of national exports. The central production of white jasmine flowers is Central Java Province, specifically in Depok Village, Kandeman District, Batang Regency. The planting area of jasmine flowers in Batang Regency has decreased. This is caused by the lack of young people to continue white jasmine farming, the land conversion of white jasmine flower to rice, or rented out to other utilities. These conditions indicate that white jasmine flower activity is no longer a top priority for farmers in Depok Village. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the competitiveness of white jasmine flowers. This is quantitative research. The sampling was determined by applying purposive sampling with those 30 farmers who are members of the Barokah Farmers Group Association. Data was collected through interviews using a questionnaire. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using the Policy Analysis Matrix. The results showed that white jasmine farming has both competitive advantage (PCR<1) and comparative advantage (DCR<1). The government has protected production inputs (NPCI<1), but has not protected output (NPCO<1).

Abstract

Tujuan dan penelitian ini adalah: 1) untuk mengetahui gambaran rantai pasok beras di kabupaten semarang, kecamatan banyubiru, desa kebumen dan 2) untuk mengetahui efisiensi pemasaran beras yang terjadi dalam rantai pasok beras. Jenis penelitan yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitataif. Deskriptif kualitatif digunakan untuk mengetahui gambaran dari aliran produk, aliran keuangan, dan aliran informasi sedangkan kuantitatif untuk mengatahui margin pemasaran dan farmer’s share. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan jenis data primer dan sekunder dengan pengambilan sampel secara purposive sampling untuk petani dan snowball sampling untuk pelaku distibusi. Menggunakan pendekatan analisi rantai sebagai cara mengatahui rantai pasok beras di Kecamatan banyubiru, Desa Kebumen. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu dan farmer’s share dimana margin pemasaran bertujuan mengetahui efisinesi pemasaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukan gambaran rantai pasok beras yaitu petani – pedagangang pengumpul – penggilingan – pedagang besar – konsumen dan dinyatakan tidak efisien.

Abstract

Desa Sumberejo di Kabupaten Magelang dan Desa Cukilan d i Kabupaten Semarang Provinsi Jawa Tengah bercita-cita menjadi desa agrowisata. Penguatan UMKM desa menjadi pilar penting untuk menopang agrowisata. Salah satu yang berpotensi menjadi andalan UMKM adalah olahan pangan komoditas lokal. Salah satu bahan baku yang dapat dikombinasikan dengan bahan lokal untuk menciptakan variasi produk adalah tepung gandum utuh (whole wheat flour) lokal. Peneliti Pusat Studi Gandum Tropika UKSW melatih para calon pengusaha UMKM membuat variasi olahan pangan kombinasi komoditas lokal dan tepung gandum utuh lokal. Pelatihan di Desa Cukilan dilaksanakan tanggal 15 Oktober 2022 di Balai Desa dan diikuti oleh 19 peserta. Pelatihan di Desa Sumberejo dilakukan tanggal 19 November 2022 di Balai Desa dan diikuti oleh 21 peserta. Olahan yang dibuat adalah nugget sayur, bolen pisang, dan kue ketawa. Peserta sangat antusias dan menunjukkan minat yang tinggi untuk berlatih. Mereka mendekat ke narasumber, mengajukan pertanyaan tentang bahan dan manfaatnya, serta berlomba mencicipi hasil olahan. Terdapat respon positif dari peserta maupun perangkat desa sehingga mereka ingin pelatihan dilakukan lagi dengan metode praktik langsung. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan ini akan dilaksanakan kembali supaya para calon pengusaha UMKM menjadi lebih terampil dan kompeten.

Abstract

Salah satu permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh petani jambu biji adalah produksi jambu biji belum optimal. Berdasarkan latar belakang yang menjelaskan hubungan faktor produksi dengan produksi berbagai komoditas pertanian menunjukkan adanya kesamaan input produksi dengan yang dipakai oleh petani jambu biji di desa Watuagung. Dengan demikian penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan variabel luas lahan, bibit, dan pupuk organik dengan peningkatan volume produksi dan mengetahui tingkat kekuatan dan arah hubungan variabel luas lahan, bibit, dan pupuk organik dengan peningkatan volume produksi. Riset ini dilakukan selama kurang lebih 30 hari. Pemilihan daerah penelitian dipilih secara sengaja (purposive) di Desa Watuagung, Kecamatan Tuntang, Kabupaten Semarang, Jawa Tengah. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Data diperoleh dengan cara melakukan wawancara dengan daftar pertanyaan dalam kuesioner. Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji korelasi pearson corelation. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variabel Luas lahan (X1), Bibit (X2), dan Pupuk organik (X3) memiliki hubungan yang positif dengan Produktivitas jambu biji di desa Watuagung.

Abstract

Food safety is the condition and effort needed to prevent food from three possible contaminations, namely: biological, chemical and other contamination that can disturb, harm and endanger human health. Sumberejo Village is a Partner of Faculty of Agriculture and Business, Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana. Sumberejo Village has potential resources in the form of vegetables. It is supported by climate and temperature conditions that are suitable for vegetable production. One of the superior commodities produced in Sumberejo Village is beetroot fruit. Processing agricultural products into processed food products is an effort to increase economic value when prices fall or during harvest time. Processing beet tubers into processed products such as cookies, beetroot tea bags, cakes are one way to reduce losses due to falling prices and increase the selling value of beet tubers. Knowledge and safe food processing practices are very necessary in food processing activities. Through food safety education activities, it is hoped that the women farming community in Sumberejo village will be able to process beet tubers in accordance with the concept of food safety. The aim of this Community Service activity is to provide knowledge and understanding of female farmers in Sumberejo Village regarding food safety and efforts to prevent contamination during food processing and producing food that is safe for consumption by the community. Based on the results of implementing safety education activities in Sumberejo Village, it can be concluded that there has been an increase in knowledge about food safety. It can be seen in the results of the questionnaire that knowledge about food safety is important because it concerns health

Abstract

In order to increase the bargaining power of farmers and gain profits, it is necessary to shorten the trading chain and cultivate white jasmine flowers produced by the "Barokah" farmer group, Depok Village, Kandeman District. Processing of agricultural commodities is carried out to add value to agricultural products. The research objectives include: (1) knowing the costs, revenues, and profits of white jasmine farming and processing white jasmine flowers into flower ronce, (2) analyzing the added value generated from processing white jasmine flowers into flower ronce. Not all members of the population have the opportunity to be sampled in research. The sample is determined through non-probability sampling method. Sampling of farmers was carried out by purposive sampling while determining the sample of ronce craftsmen using the snowball sampling technique. The average total cost of producing jasmine flowers from the research results is Rp. 6,120,406/month. The average revenue is Rp. 1,138,333/month. White jasmine flower farmers suffered a loss of Rp. 4,992,072/month. The average income earned by ronce craftsmen is Rp.37,166,667/month, the average total production cost for ronce white jasmine flowers is Rp. 22,461,836/month, so that ronce jasmine craftsmen earn a profit of Rp. 14,704,831/month. The processing of white jasmine flowers into ronce jasmine flowers by flower ronce craftsmen also has an added value, namely Rp. 1,563,996.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) mengetahui aliran produk, keuangan dan informasi komoditas anggrek dan dampaknya terhadap penjualan di Pasar Rawa Belong Jakarta dan 2) mengetahui efisiensi pemasaran menurut marjin pemasaran dan farmer’s share. Deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif merupakan jenis penelitian yang digunakan. Deskriptif kualitatif digunakan untuk mengetahui aliran produk, aliran keuangan dan aliran informasi anggrek vanda douglas di Kecamatan Pamulang Sedangkan kuantitatif untuk memahami apakah saluran pemasaran anggrek tersebut efisien mengunakan analisis margin pemasaran dan analisis farmer’s share. Teknik pengambilan sampel secara purposive sampling untuk petani, pedagang pengumpul desa, pedagang besar dan pengecer. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis deskriptif dan analisis marjin pemasaran. Aliran produk, aliran keuangan dan aliran informasi termasuk bagian dari rantai rantai pasokan anggrek vanda douglas di Pamulang dan diperoleh 4 saluran pemasaran yang terjadi. Saluran pemasaran III merupakan saluran paling efisien dengan nilai efisiensi pemasaran sebesar 3,36% dan sudah masuk kriteria < 5%, nilai total marjin pemasaran Rp 300/tangkai dan nilai farmer’s share sebesar 85%.

Abstract

Managing organic waste through composting and eco-enzyme production offers environmental and economic advantages. Composting reduces methane emissions, enhances soil quality, and boosts agricultural yields, while eco-enzymes provide a novel waste management solution. This study compares the added value of food and garden waste in eco-enzyme and compost production, emphasizing their potential for sustainable resource utilization and economic gain. The research involves waste collection, production, quality analysis, and added value assessment. Compost and eco-enzymes are made from various waste compositions, with quality analysis covering nutrient content and enzyme activity. Economic analysis highlights the viability of composting and eco-enzyme production. Despite challenges such as low material content and unexpected water increase with EM4, both methods show promise. Composting yields IDR2,142.86 with a 65% added value ratio, while eco-enzymes earn IDR69,964 with a 94% ratio, offering benefits like room freshening and higher profits.

Abstract

Produk teh bit “Bieten Thee” dibuat untuk membantu menaikkan nilai tambah dari komoditas bit yang kurang diserap pasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan riset pasar produk baru yaitu minuman teh dari bit “Bieten Thee” dengan mengetahui karakteristik dan perilaku konsumen terhadap atribut produk yang diberikan apakah dapat diterima serta memuaskan konsumen. Data penelitian didapatkan melalui kuesioner yang diisi oleh 30 calon konsumen bieten thee dengan syarat sudah mencoba dan tertarik untuk membeli produk kedepannya. Metode analisis yang digunakan yaitu IPA (Importance Performance Analysis) dan CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index). Hasil pengukuran karakteristik konsumen dari data menunjukkan minat terbesar berasal dari rentan usia 20-30 yang memiliki keterbukaan besar terhadap inovasi baru dan mulai sadar tentang kesehatan tubuh. Mayoritas calon konsumen berjenis kelamin laki-laki (60%), dimana mayoritas-nya memiliki latar belakang pendidikan layak yang tergolong SMA ke atas. Penghasilan dari calon konsumen bieten thee mayoritas berada pada Rp.1.000.000-Rp.2.500.000 dimana pada tingkat pendapatan ini konsumen akan cenderung lebih selektif terhadap pembelian produk yang dibutuhkan. Perilaku dari konsumen terhadap atribut produk terlihat dari hasil olah data dari metode IPA pada kuadran I (manfaat produk membuat konsumen tertarik dan rasa produk dapat diterima dan dinikmati) dan III (aroma produk mernarik, aroma dapat diterima, rasa produk memuaskan, dan harga produk terjangkau) perlu diperbaiki dan kuadran II (warna produk menarik, warna dapat menjadi ciri khas, manfaat dari produk menjadi kelebihan, model kemasan mendukung keawetan produk, dan tampilan kemasan menarik) dan IV (harga produk sesuai dengan kelebihan yang ditawarkan) perlu dipertahankan.
