Abstract

The purpose of this research are to analyze which factors can influence Indonesia’s consumer intention to buy local food by online and whether the intention can affect to purchasing decision or not. This research used Partial Least Square (PLS) as data analysis with significance level 5%. There are several requirements to fulfil the criteria of data anlaysis, they are convergent validity, discriminant validity, and composite reliability. The result is all of three requirement is achieved. Bootstrapping analysis was used to examine the significance and verify the hypotheses. There were five independent variables and two dependent variables. The independent variables were perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, perceived trust, perceived risk, and perceived price. The dependent variables were intention to buy and purchasing decision. There are two variables which are significance towards intention to buy, they are perceived risk and perceived price. Perceived risk is significance and consistent with the theory which has negative effect towards intention to buy, while perceived price is significance and has positive effect towards intention to buy. Perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and perceived trust are not significant toward intention to buy. Variables intention to buy is intervention variable which affect significantly towards purchasing decision. R-square score for intention to buy is 30.5% while r-square score for purchasing decision is 25.9%.

Abstract

Currently, exchange activities can be carried out without meeting physically through electronic markets or what is commonly referred to as e-commerce. Research results from merchantmachine.co.uk (2019) stated that e-commerce growth in Indonesia was the fastest in the world at 78%. Currently, there are many types of businesses that use e-commerce as a medium for transactions as well as marketing, including types of businesses that sell fresh products such as vegetables. Data from the 2018 National Socio-Economic Survey (SUSENAS) (in Sumantri, 2019) shows an increase in vegetable consumption in Indonesia in 2015 from 29.68 kcal/capita/day to 37.95 kcal/capita/day in 2018. User growth the internet in Indonesia and the increase in vegetable consumption are good opportunities for online vegetable shops to expand their business. This study aims to determine what factors influence consumers' online vegetable purchasing decisions in Indonesia. The stages of the research method that will be carried out are starting with data collection, both primary data and secondary data. Primary data was obtained by distributing questionnaires to respondents. The questionnaire uses a google form and is distributed online. Research respondents were selected using a non-probability sampling method with an accidental sampling technique. The data processing method is using the Structural Equation Modeling - Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) model with 5 independent variables and 1 dependent variable. The independent variables in this study are perceived usefulness (PU), perceived convenience (PEOU), attitudes, subjective norms, and perceptions related to behavioral control, while the dependent variable in this study is purchasing decisions. The targeted outputs are the publication of Scopus-indexed international journals and international seminar proceedings. TKT results of this study are expected to be at level 6, namely the achievement of a conclusion from the results of the analysis of consumer behavior who shop for vegetables online. Then a draft recommendation can be drawn up for vegetable marketing actors and the government as a regulator. The results showed that the factors that influence online vegetable purchasing decisions by Indonesian consumers in this study were Perception of Ease (PU), Attitude (AT), and Perception of Behavioral Control (PCB). Factors that have no effect are perceived usefulness and subjective norms. These results illustrate that respondents in this study tend to buy vegetables online when each individual can access internet technology. Respondents also tend to make purchasing decisions based on internal factors because they believe in their ability to carry out activities and have no effect on their external environment.

Abstract

Maize is a strategic commodity with growing demand; however, domestic productivity faces challenges due to the limited availability of high-quality seeds, fertilizers, and other production inputs. Analyzing production risk in maize farming is essential for identifying factors contributing to yield uncertainty. This study examines the factors influencing maize production risk in dryland farming in Karanganyar Regency using a multiple linear regression model with the heteroscedasticity approach by Just and Pope, based on a sample of 60 farmers. The results indicate that the production risk of maize in Karanganyar's dryland areas, as reflected by a coefficient of variation of 24.08%, is relatively low. Production risk is significantly influenced by fertilizer application and labor input. Phonska, SP-36, and urea fertilizers have a notable impact that helps mitigate production risk. Additionally, labor input is crucial in determining crop yields, with greater labor availability correlating with lower production risk for farmers. In contrast, maize seeds, land area, organic fertilizers, and pesticides insignificantly affect production risk. These findings highlight the importance of effective agricultural input management, particularly the selection of appropriate fertilizers and labor optimization, in reducing uncertainty in maize production.

Abstract

Maize is the main raw material for animal feed, and weakening maize prices have a significant impact on the prices of livestock products such as chicken and eggs. The high demand for animal feed can drive up maize prices. Keywords: Volatility, Integration, Market, Maize Price. This condition is further exacerbated during the COVID-19 pandemic, disruptions to the global supply chain, distribution regulations, and economic instability have caused maize price volatility to increase sharply. The purpose of this study is to analyze maize price volatility and market integration at the producer, consumer and world levels. This study uses secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), Ministry of Trade, Ministry of Agriculture, Food Prices and the World Bank. The data analysis used is the coefficient of variation and Vector Error Correction Model (VECM). The results show that maize price volatility at the producer and consumer levels is relatively low, while at the world level it is high. The results of the integration analysis obtained prices at the producer, consumer, and world levels have long-term integration. Only consumer maize prices (HJK) significantly adjust in the short term to long-term sufficiency. Maize prices at the consumer level are greatly influenced by producer prices, which indicates that vertical price transmission from producers to consumers is quite strong. The influence of world prices exists, but is relatively small and indirect. Production costs, input availability, and market channels are the main factors in determining maize prices at the producer level. Efficient marketing channels can result in better price realization for farmers so that farmers get better profits. The government must be able to maintain a good farming climate for farmers
