Abstract

Background: Collaboration plays a very important role in fostering a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem, unlike rural areas, which have constraints compared to urban areas and require special efforts to accelerate their economies.Purpose: This paper aims to explore how actors collaborate to create a prosperous entrepreneurial ecosystem in rural areas.Design/methodology/approach: We conducted a case study of Koto Mesjid Village, Indonesia, which involved collaboration between academics, government, business, and the community. Our research method involved content analysis of recorded academic reports regarding the case, using a systematic coding technique based on fundamental categories identified through a proposed model. The aim is to elucidate the relational dynamics among the ecosystem's actors, values, co-creation, and objectives.Findings/result: Our findings highlight the exchange of resources between the actors produced value that reformed the condition of rural entrepreneurial ecosystem. Collaboration led to densification and diversification of the ecosystem's resources, which in turn allowed its actors to discover new opportunities and increase their success in exploiting them. Conclusion: Building networks has the critical role to exchange knowledge in nurturing rural entrepreneurship. Policy makers can facilitate such networks to develop villages and promote regional economic growth.Originality/value: This study contributes to the conversation of service-dominant logic in the regional economic context by demonstrating that the co-creation of collective values is achievable and crucial for developing a thriving rural entrepreneurial ecosystem. Abstract

Samsung SDS wants to get into the Indonesian market, with their enterprise-grade SaaS Collaboration solutions aimed at corporate clients. However, in this niche, there are giants like Microsoft, Google, and Zoom. Thus, it is imperative for an appropriate GTM Strategy that has been designed especially for Indonesia in the face of current competitive environment. The paper highlights a customer driven GTM strategy. The study deploys dual-method strategy to investigate JTBD to establish what customer’s jobs are and preferences that aligns with product/pricing strategy based on JTD Growth Strategy Matrix. At the same time, the Customer Journey considers consumer experience at all stages of engagement, offering ways forward on journey and experience improvement. This study reveals that Indonesian market is highly competitive and many customer needs met by available products. As a result, disruptive pricing supported by a disruptive approach are necessary at the moment. Also, as part of the customer journey, complete sales support along with specific training materials is highly demanded. In line with this, Samsung SDS should consider to recalibrate its GTM strategy based on a disruptive approach and supporting localized service to enhance customer experience in Indonesia. Abstract

PT Freeport Indonesia has decided to alter its mining operations from open-pit mining to underground mining in Grasberg. A change of mining area focus directly affects its related departments, and even need new operations strategy to address the transition. Considering its long-term run of mining operations, its strategic issues are assessed by using Slack and Lewis operations strategy model, and decisions are made through the Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM) tool. Previously, the assessment of company’s current business and corporate strategy was conducted by applying SWOT analysis and complemented with the Strategic Factors Analysis Summary (SFAS) as the point-of-reference of the operations strategy.

Abstract

Indonesia is affected by global crisis. Increasing the number of entrepreneurs is one of many solutions to increase the economic growth in Indonesia. The number of entrepreneurs in Indonesia to leverage the economic growth is still limited. Entrepreneurs can be prepared through an Entrepreneurship Study Program. Entrepreneurship Study Program attempts to create qualified entrepreneurs who have relevant competences. In order to create a qualified entrepreneurs, the Entrepreneurial Studies Program requires a competency-based curriculum that will support the educational process and provide all the necessary to become future entrepreneurs who can survive through a global challenge. This research aims to design a competence-based curriculum for entrepreneurial study and uses Quality Function Deployment (QFD) as the major tool to design the competencebased curriculum. From the QFD process, this research finds core and elective courses for the Entrepreneurship Study Program. The result shows the competences covered by the courses and sequence, credits, and teaching methods for each course. The competences prepared the potential entrepreneurs can be achieved through specific courses which can be acquired within 8 semesters.
