Abstract

This study aims to design and develop an effective and efficient learning media at Wipama Cikupa Vocational School, because this Vocational School faces obstacles in terms of limited classroom space and learning time which is divided into two shifts. To overcome this problem, the development of an LMS (Learning Management System) was implemented as a solution to provide learning without distance, place and time limitations. E-learning was chosen as the main approach in this research, because of its flexibility, self-learning ability, and cost efficiency for both administrators and students. The development of this LMS includes the stages of system requirements analysis, user interface design, database design, coding using the PHP programming language, and testing. The development method used is the Waterfall model to ensure planned and systematic development. The testing phase is carried out using a black box approach to ensure compatibility between the system being developed and the desired requirements. The result of this research is the implementation of the LMS (Learning Management System) which allows online learning through a website platform, so that this school can overcome the limitations of classrooms and time, and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the learning process in this school.

Abstract

The high unemployment rate among vocational high school graduates underscores the need to strengthen entrepreneurial values as part of career preparation. This study aims to analyze the influence of entrepreneurship education and family support on the entrepreneurial values of students at SMK Negeri 2 Jombang. A quantitative approach with a causal-associative design was employed. The sample consisted of 135 students selected through proportional random sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The findings indicate that entrepreneurship education and family support have positive and significant effects on students’ entrepreneurial values, both partially and simultaneously. Family support was identified as the most dominant factor influencing entrepreneurial values, while the two variables collectively explained 43.7% of the variance in entrepreneurial values. These findings suggest that entrepreneurial values among vocational students are strengthened through the synergy between formal entrepreneurship education and supportive family environments. This study concludes that the development of creative, independent, innovative, and responsible entrepreneurial characteristics requires collaborative efforts between schools and families. The findings contribute to the literature on vocational entrepreneurship education and provide practical implications for strengthening school–family collaboration in fostering entrepreneurial character among vocational students.

Abstract

The rapid growth of e-commerce has encouraged digital platforms to adopt various promotional strategies, including flash sales and free shipping programs, to influence consumer purchase decisions. However, the effectiveness of these promotional tools among university students remains an important area of investigation. This study aims to examine the influence of flash sale and free shipping promotions on online purchase decisions among university students in Jombang Regency. A quantitative approach with a causal-associative design was employed. The study involved 100 respondents selected through proportionate stratified accidental sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed through multiple linear regression with IBM SPSS Statistics 27. The findings indicate that flash sale promotions do not have a significant effect on online purchase decisions (Sig. = 0.646 > 0.05), whereas free shipping has a positive and significant effect (Sig. = 0.000 < 0.05). Simultaneously, flash sale and free shipping significantly influence online purchase decisions (F = 63.223; Sig. = 0.000), with a coefficient of determination of 55.4%. These findings suggest that free shipping is a more influential promotional factor than flash sale in shaping students’ online purchase decisions. This study concludes that online purchase decisions among university students are more strongly driven by perceived transaction cost reduction than by time-limited promotional urgency. The findings contribute to the literature on digital marketing and consumer behavior in e-commerce and provide practical implications for e-commerce platforms to prioritize free shipping programs as a more effective marketing strategy for the student consumer segment.
