Abstract

PT. RXZ merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang manufaktur, khususnya di bagian infrastruktur. Salah satu faktor produksi yang harus dioptimalkan penggunaannya seperti yang terjadi pada PT. RXZ yaitu mesin produksi. Dewasa ini mesin yang digunakan dalam kegiatan produksi harus mampu beroperasi dengan optimal. PT. RXZ menggunakan konsep breakdown maintenance yaitu melakukan perawatan setelah mesin mengalami kerusakan. Metode tersebut mengeluarkan biaya perbaikan yang sangat besar karena harus mengganti komponen yang rusak dengan komponen yang baru. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk membandingkan konsep breakdown maintenance yang digunakan oleh perusahaan dengan konsep preventive maintenance. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah preventive maintenance dengan pendekatan Modularity Design. Modularity Design berfungsi untuk mengelompokkan elemen-elemen mesin sesuai dengan urutan proses perbaikan mesin. Pemakaian konsep ini dapat menekan biaya produksi dan proses perbaikan lebih sederhana. Hasil yang didapatkan adalah biaya perawatan mesin dengan menggunakan preventive modularity maintenance menghasilkan total biaya perawatan yang lebih kecil yaitu sebesar Rp 49.902.964 dibandingkan dengan biaya perawatan breakdown yang total biaya perawatannya mencapai Rp 55.071.518. Persentase perbandingan modularity design lebih kecil 9,38% dari breakdown maintenance sehingga metode ini tepat digunakan oleh perusahaan.

Abstract

Penentuan prioritas pusat distribusi merupakan kegiatan strategis dalam supply chain management yang dilakukan oleh PT. XYZ dalam rangka peningkatan produktivitas dan efisiensi perusahaan. Adapun kendala yang dihadapi perusahaan dalam hal ini, yaitu tidak optimalnya pendistribusian produk di pusat-pusat distribusi, antara lain wilayah Medan, Brastagi, Aceh, Pekanbaru, Jambi, dan Jakarta. Jumlah permintaan dan pangsa pasar yang bervariasi dari setiap pusat distribusi menyebabkan kelebihan dan kekurangan persediaan di pusat-pusat distribusi milik perusahaan. Oleh sebab itu, dibutuhkan pengambilan keputusan terhadap prioritas pusat distribusi guna mengoptimalkan pendistribusian produk. Maka, pengambilan keputusan dilakukan dengan metode DEMATEL (Decision Making Evaluation and Laboratory) dan pembobotan prioritas akhir dengan melibatkan metode Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). Balanced Scorecard diusulkan untuk mengidentifikasi kriteria yang mempengaruhi penentuan prioritas pusat distribusi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, terpilih 18 kriteria yang dirangkum dan dikelompokkan berdasarkan perspektif balanced scorecard, yaitu finansial, costumer, internal, dan learning & Growth. Hasil pengolahan dengan menggunakan metode DEMATEL diperoleh hubungan antar kriteria pada masing-masing perspektif. Hasil analisis terhadap pusat distribusi diperoleh nilai pembobotan untuk pemrioritasan distribusi secara berurutan yaitu 0,3396; 0,2233; 0,1541; 0,1101; 0,1007; 0,0722. Maka, tingkat kepentingan secara berurutan yaitu Jakarta diikuti Pekanbaru, Medan, Brastagi, Jambi, dan Aceh

Abstract

PT. XYZ yang merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang perakitantransformator, yang berproduksi berdasarkan pesanan (make-to-order). Masalah yang terjadidi perusahaan ini masih adanya pembagian beban kerja dan kapasitas mesin/operator yangtidak seimbang pada proses perakitan masing-masing stasiun kerja yang akan berpengaruhterhadap kelancaran produksi. Selain itu proses produksi yang ada di lantai produksi belumterlaksana secara optimal dimana terdapat penumpukan bahan di beberapa stasiun kerja.Untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan ini dibutuhkan penyeimbangan lintasan perakitan.Penyeimbangan lintasan perakitan dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode heuristik MoodieYoung dan COMSOAL. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan rancangankeseimbangan lintasan yang baik dan memberikan gambaran adanya perbedaan kondisi daristasiun kerja sebelum dan sesudah dilakukan penyeimbangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkanbahwa metode Moodie Young dan metode COMSOAL memiliki nilai balance delay danefisiensi lintasan produksi yang sama baiknya yaitu masing-masing sebesar 46,89% dan53,21%. Nilai smoothness index untuk metode Moodie Young sebesar 367,86 sedangkanuntuk metode COMSOAL sebesar 368,42. Maka yang menjadi metode usulan adalah metodeMoodie Young. Dalam penelitian ini, dilakukan penentuan jumlah operator dan mesin.Hasilnya dilakukan penambahan 1 mesin dan 1 opertaor pada stasiun kerja VI (PenggulunganCoil), VII (Koneksi Kumparan), dan IX (Proses Akhir).

Abstract

PT. XYZ adalah salah satu perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang industri pengolahancrumb rubber. Untuk menjaga agar mesin-mesin produksi mampu beroperasi ataupunberfungsi sebagaimana mestinya maka dibutuhkan perawatan mesin yang baik. PT. XYZselama ini menerapkan perawatan korektif tanpa memperhatikan faktor keandalan darikomponen-komponen mesin produksi, akibatnya sering terjadi kerusakan mesin secara tibatiba.Pada penelitian ini digunakan model preventive maintenance terhadap mesin SlabCutter. Metode yang digunakan untuk mendapatkan komponen kritis adalah penerapankonsep pareto. Penentuan MTTF, fungsi keandalan, cost of failure, serta cost of preventivedilakukan sehingga diperoleh selang waktu penggantian komponen dengan biaya perawatanterendah. Untuk tiga komponen kritis yang diperoleh, didapat selang waktu penggantianblade cutter 11 hari dengan keandalan 0.90097, untuk komponen clutch disc diperoleh selangwaktu penggantian 36 hari dengan keandalan 0.68850, sedangkan untuk komponen chain TGdiperoleh selang waktu penggantian 37 hari dengan keandalan 0.76905. Hasil penelitianmenunjukkan bahwa dengan menerapkan preventive maintenance diperoleh biayapenggantian komponen kritis sebesar Rp 3.865.506,- sedangkan biaya corrective maintenancesebesar Rp 5.314.127,-. Penurunan biaya yang diperoleh dngan penerapan preventivemaintenance adalah sebesar 27,25%.

Abstract

PT. XYZ is the manufacturing industry that is engaged in the processing of kitchen utensils. But in running its business, the company is still often face problems relating to the quality of product defects that eventually resulted in the number of requests could not be met. To address the problem of the quality of this, companies need to implement Total Quality Management (TQM). However, need to be examined in advance of accession the application of quality management positions in the company based on European Foundation Quality for Management (EFQM) model. The purpose of this study is to analyse the influence of each variable in EFQM in order to determine the company's readiness to implement TQM. A method of analysis in this research is path analysis. Its purpose to explain direct effect and indirect effect from exogenous variable to endogenous variablein EFQM model. The result showed that  variable of EFQM, which  need to be improved is strategy and planning on process of 14.3%. Effort which need to do by the company to improve the effect  of strategy and planning on process are making training knowledge about  company’s strategy and rules, personal approchment to the employee, and controlling the strategy and rules. Overall, the total score based on self assessment is 787.637 or approximately 78.76%, which indicates that the company is in great shape ready to implement TQM.

Abstract

Every company wants to earn product with optimal function but takes low production cost. Designs that more easily assembled will increase time efficiency and cause reduction in production costs. This study aimed to evaluate the product design of spring bed 6 feet by using the concept of QFD (Quality Function Deployment). Quality Function Deployment is a systematic method for identifying consumer desires and meet the requirements of the customers as one of the stages of product development from design to final product . Research with the QFD method generates the attribute most significant effect on the cost of assembly and long product assembly is the number of component which shown with the highest performance measurement is number of components. It is also supported with the highest relative weight namely number of component that used to joint the parts of spring bed. Spring bed has many constituent components , one of which is the use of nails that many so spend a lot of time in assembling a spring bed. It causes the company can not fulfil the customer demand. The number of components of the spring bed products serve as the main focus in the repairing of spring bed to reduce the assembly time so that can help company to fulfil the customer demands.

Abstract

Fasilitas kesehatan masyarakat adalah komponen dalam mempercepat peningkatan derajat kesehatan masyarakat. Rumah sakit sebagai sarana kesehatan memiliki peran yang sangat strategis dalam memberikan layanan berkualitas sesuai dengan standar yang ditetapkan dan dapat menjangkau seluruh masyarakat. Satu instalasi yang membutuhkan peningkatan kualitas adalah instalasi Hemodialisis. Jumlah pasien meningkat setiap tahun harus diikuti dengan peningkatan kualitas layanan instalasi. Meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan rumah sakit tidak dapat dipisahkan dari setiap instalasi atau bagian yang terdapat di rumah sakit, salah satunya adalah fasilitas hemodialisis. Penelitian ini berfokus pada kebutuhan emosional operator mesin hemodialisis (perawat) untuk desain mesin hemodialisis melalui Kansei Engineering.

Abstract

Changes in human mindset along with the development of technology, trends and the need for quality products increasingly require the development of more complex product functions to meet the expectations and needs of consumers as users of the product. Merging several functions in a single product is often become the main focus for managers in research and product development departments to produce product design concepts in the present. The success of a product can be measured by how much the existence of the product can be accepted by the consumer so as to increase profit for the company or producer. Product design is an idea, concept development, testing that done before the production process of an object or product is done. The product designer evaluates the ideas and realizes them through the product. The design of products to be made in this research is multifunctional tissue box. Ideas for product design are obtained through brainstorming. The next step is to make a questionnaire based on the results of brainstorming to obtain information and know the consumer requirement for the product. In designing the tissue box, clarifying objectives is done in the form of objective trees and the functional analysis in the form of block diagrams. Then Quality Function Deployment is done to improve product quality based on consumer needs. Alternative generation with Morphological Chart is done to achieve solutions to product design problems. There were 4 alternatives with relative importance value for alternative 1 = 4.8719; alternative 2 = 3.7723; alternative 3 = 3.4941 and alternative 4 = 2.8785. The next step is to do value engineering on the product through improving details to increase the value of the product and decrease the production cost. The cost incurred in making the product before improving details is Rp 152.352, - while the cost incurred after improving details is Rp. 130602, -

Abstract

Alternative energy is a term that refers to all usable energy that aims to replace conventional fuels without any unintended consequences. In the context of this research, alternative energy is meant as renewable energy. Renewable energy is energy generated from natural sources, such as sunlight, wind, rain, tidal currents, and geothermal, which are renewable or can reappear naturally after its utilization. Many methods, procedures and techniques are adopted by the customer satisfaction as enhanced by the design of An Alternative Energy Utilization. This study seeks an assessment of user satisfaction, which in this case is the community, to combine Quality Function Deployment and Kano's model as design techniques in product design and development by focusing on capturing and translating consumer desires into a product design. The calculation results show the most important characteristic to be immediately corrected is Technology sophistication and Production Cost with the highest cost estimate, the degree of importanceand difficulty level. From the planning matrix obtained the product attribute that is Generation Price and Durability become the priority of improvement because it has the biggest weight.

Abstract

The background of this research is the high participation and interest in learning among the students in sewing bed sheets at PKBM Tenggang Raso in Padang City. It is suspected that there are supporting factors in the use of facilities and infrastructure in the activity of sewing sheets. The aims of this study were (1) to describe the use of the physical conditions of the practice room in bed linen sewing training; (2) describe the use of sewing equipment and supplies in bed sheets sewing training; (3) describe the use of the arrangement of sewing equipment and supplies in bed sheets sewing training; (4) describes the use of books to support sewing life skills in bed sheets sewing training. This type of research is quantitative description with a sample of 75% of the population, namely as many as 30 people. This study shows the results, namely (1) The use of the physical conditions of the practice room in bed linen sewing training is complete and adequate; (2) Adequate use of sewing equipment and supplies in bed sheets sewing training; (3) Utilization of the arrangement of sewing equipment and supplies in bed sheets sewing training is also sufficient; (4) describes the use of life skill sewing books for bed sheets sewing training that are available and adequate for use.
