Abstract

This article aims to know and critically analyze the ethical responsibilities of Levinas. He gives a new concept of responsibility. For him, ethics is the first philosophy. The ethics of Levinas's responsibilities must be understood in a metaphysical aspect. The research method used is literature research using hermeneutics method. The essence of Levinas’s responsibility: responsibility as an existential fact, nonnormative, for the others, substitutional, the essential structure of subjectivity, a basis for existence, the responsibility of humanizing himself, and responsibilities make me unique from others. The ethics of Levinas's responsibilities have two characters: concrete and asymmetric.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to evaluate and analyze the understanding of the  curriculum 2013 and integration on the performance of Catholic elementary school teachers in Manado City. The total of samples used are 76 respondents in 11 Catholic Primary Schools. This research is in June to July 2019. The method of the research is quantitative approach by survey methods. The results showed that (1) There is a positive influence of the understanding of the  curriculum 2013 on the performance of Catholic elementary school teachers in Manado City. The effect of understanding of the  curriculum 2013 on teacher performance was relatively low that is 39.1% with a significance level of 0.000 ? from ? = 0.05. While the results of the hypothesis test knowledge variable with the t test shows the fact that t-count = 6.889 ? (t-tab) = 1.992. (2) There is effect of  teacher?s integration on the performance of Catholic elementary school teachers with the results of the determination of percentage is 8.2% and a significance level of 0.012 ? from ? = 0.05; (3) There is a effect of curriculum 2013 and integration simultaneously on the performance of Catholic elementary school teachers 37.5% with a significance level of 0,000 ? from ? = 0.05.

Abstract

The purpose of this research to describe the using of image media to improve science learning result in thirteen Chatolict elementary school of Saint Paul, Manado City. This research uses class actions research methods. The data sources are 25 students. The results showed that: (1) teacher?s skill in the first cycle are 87,5% with good criteria and in second cycle obtained 90,65% with very good criteria; (2) student activity in the first cycle  are 73,75% with the criteria of active enough and in second cycle obtained 78,13% with active criteria; (3) student learning result in the first cycle 52% and the second cycle 84%. Suggestions in this researh was that using of image media could become as a teacher?s solution to improve the quality of natural science learning and they have to study the using  learning methods, models and media to give learning spirit for the students.Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menggambarkan tahap penggunaan media gambar untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA di sekolah dasar khususnya di SD Katolik 13 Santu Paulus Manado. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian tindakan kelas. Sumber data dari penelitian ini adalah siswa-siswa kelas V SD Katolik 13 Santu Paulus Manado pada Tahun Akademik 2018/2019 untuk 25 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah tes, wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: keterampilan dalam siklus I 87,5 % dengan kriteria baik dan pada siklus II 90,65 % dengan kriteria bai. Aktivitas siswa dalam siklus I 73,75% dengan kriteria cukup aktif dan dalam siklus II 78,13% dengan kriteria aktif. Hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I 52% dan siklus II 84%. Adapun saran dalam penelitian ini adalah penggunaan media gambar dapat dijadikan solusi dari pendidik untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran IPA di sekolah dan guru harus belajar menggunakan metode, model dan media pembelajaran untuk memberikan semangat belajar bagi siswa-siswa.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the application of cooperative learning type of student achivement division (STAD) on mathematics subject and to improve student aktivity and student learning result  in  mathematics learning on fifth grade of elementary school. This research  was classroom action reasearch conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of two meetings and each meeting consists of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this reasearch were students at fifth grade of SD Negeri 25 Manado. There were 18 students as subjects of research.  The technique of gathering data was using test, observation and documentation.  The results showed that: (1) student activity in the first cycle 258.15 score or gain I 64,54% with the criteria was active enough and in second cycle obtained 303, 65 score or 75.91% with active criteria; (2) student learning result in the first cycle 44% and the second cycle 83%. Suggestions in this study was may the teacher have more creative by using learning media (audio or visual) to improve skill of teacher, student activity and learning result of student. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk menguraikan penerapan pembelajaran kooperatif model Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) pada mata pelajaran matematika demi peningkatan aktivitas siswa dan hasil belajar di kelas V SD. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) terdiri dari dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari dua pertemuan dan setiap pertemuan terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Adapun alur langkah-langkah PTK yang digunakan adalah langkah-langkah menurut Stephen Kemmis Robin Mctaggart Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SD Negeri 25 Manado. Adapun jumlah siswa yang ada adalah 18 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) aktivitas siswa pada siklus I memperoleh skor 258,15 atau 64,54% dengan kriteria cukup aktif dan pada siklus II memperoleh skor 303,65 atau 75,91% dengan kriteria aktif; (2) hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I sebesar 44% dan siklus II sebesar 83 %. Sedangkan yang menjadi saran yang diberikan adalah: hendaknya guru lebih kreatif dalam menggunakan media pembelajaran yang ada (baik audio maupun visual dst.) demi meningkatkan keterampilan mengajar, aktivitas siswa dan  hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the step of using image media to improve science learning result in thirteen Chatolict elementary school of Saint Paul, Manado City. This research uses class actions research methods are carried out in the two cycles. Each cycle consisted of four steps namely: planning, action, observation and reflection. The data sources of this research is the fifth grade students of thirteen Chatolict elementary school of Saint Paul, Manado City in academic year 2018/2019 to 25 students. The techniques of data collecting were test, interview, observation and documentation. The data analysis is used by this research is kuantitatif and kualitatif data analysis. Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that the using of image media can improve grade V students’ Science learning achievement by in thirteen Chatolict elementary school of Saint Paul, Manado City. The results showed that: (1) teacher skill in the first cycle 87,5% with good criteria and in second cycle obtained 90,65% with very good criteria; (2) student activity in the first cycle 73,75% with the criteria was active enough and in second cycle obtained 78,13% with active criteria; (3) student learning result in the first cycle 52% and the second cycle 84%. Abstract

The purpose of this article is to understand and analyze critically and sharply about the solidarity’s ethics of Knud Ejler Løgstrup and its implications for the victims of covid-19 in Indonesia. The research method is library research using the hermeneutic method. The results of research showed Løgstrup's thought of solidarity became the basis for solidarity on victims of desease covid-19, solidarity on victims of covid-19 was not just a feeling, it was not normative, always asymmetrical, a moral phenomenon and the hallmark of love.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of audio-visual media and to improve teacher skills, student activities and student learning outcomes. This research is a classroom action research (CAR) consisting of two cycles. The subjects in this study were sixth grade elementary school students. Data collection techniques using tests and observations. The results of the study showed that: (1) the skills of the teacher in the first cycle scored 54 or 75% with good criteria and in the second cycle the score was 61 or 84.72 with good criteria; (2) students’ activity in the first cycle obtained a score of 258.15 or 64.54% with moderately active criteria and in the second cycle a score of 299.48% or 74.87% with active criteria; (3) students’ learning outcomes in the first cycle of 74.19% and the second cycle of 79.97%. The suggestion in this study is that the application of Audio Visual Media can be used as a teacher reference as a solution to improve the quality of learning during pandemic of the covid-19.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to increase student activity and learning outcomes in science learning in fifth grade. This research is a classroom action research conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of two learning meetings. The subject of this research is the fifth grader at the state elementary school of kawangkoan. Data collection techniques use tests, observations and documentation. The results showed that: (1) student learning activity in first cycle is 72,50% with active criterion and on second cycle is 76,15% with active criterion; (2) mastery of student learning outcomes in first cycle is 71,43% and second cycle is 100%. Based on these results, it can be concluded that by the method of demonstration can improve the quality of learning science subjects, that is: student activity and student learning outcomes of fifth grade state elementary school Kawangkoan.
