Abstract

This article aims to know and critically analyze the ethical responsibilities of Levinas. He gives a new concept of responsibility. For him, ethics is the first philosophy. The ethics of Levinas's responsibilities must be understood in a metaphysical aspect. The research method used is literature research using hermeneutics method. The essence of Levinas’s responsibility: responsibility as an existential fact, nonnormative, for the others, substitutional, the essential structure of subjectivity, a basis for existence, the responsibility of humanizing himself, and responsibilities make me unique from others. The ethics of Levinas's responsibilities have two characters: concrete and asymmetric.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to understand and analyze critically and sharply about the solidarity’s ethics of Knud Ejler Løgstrup and its implications for the victims of covid-19 in Indonesia. The research method is library research using the hermeneutic method. The results of research showed Løgstrup's thought of solidarity became the basis for solidarity on victims of desease covid-19, solidarity on victims of covid-19 was not just a feeling, it was not normative, always asymmetrical, a moral phenomenon and the hallmark of love.

Abstract

The purpose of this research to describe the using of image media to improve science learning result in thirteen Chatolict elementary school of Saint Paul, Manado City. This research uses class actions research methods. The data sources are 25 students. The results showed that: (1) teacher’s skill in the first cycle are 87,5% with good criteria and in second cycle obtained 90,65% with very good criteria; (2) student activity in the first cycle  are 73,75% with the criteria of active enough and in second cycle obtained 78,13% with active criteria; (3) student learning result in the first cycle 52% and the second cycle 84%. Suggestions in this researh was that using of image media could become as a teacher’s solution to improve the quality of natural science learning and they have to study the using  learning methods, models and media to give learning spirit for the students.Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menggambarkan tahap penggunaan media gambar untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA di sekolah dasar khususnya di SD Katolik 13 Santu Paulus Manado. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian tindakan kelas. Sumber data dari penelitian ini adalah siswa-siswa kelas V SD Katolik 13 Santu Paulus Manado pada Tahun Akademik 2018/2019 untuk 25 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah tes, wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: keterampilan dalam siklus I 87,5 % dengan kriteria baik dan pada siklus II 90,65 % dengan kriteria bai. Aktivitas siswa dalam siklus I 73,75% dengan kriteria cukup aktif dan dalam siklus II 78,13% dengan kriteria aktif. Hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I 52% dan siklus II 84%. Adapun saran dalam penelitian ini adalah penggunaan media gambar dapat dijadikan solusi dari pendidik untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran IPA di sekolah dan guru harus belajar menggunakan metode, model dan media pembelajaran untuk memberikan semangat belajar bagi siswa-siswa.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian adalah menganalisis aliran etika modern dan beberapa ciri khas etika modern serta beberapa kritik  postmodernisme terhadap etika modern. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian pustaka dengan menggunakan metode hermeneutika. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa ciri khas dari etika modern yakni  rasionalitas moral, universalitas moral, dan kemutlakan peraturan moral. Konsep etika modern tersebut dikritisi oleh postmodernisme dengan bertitik tolak pada pandangan etika postmodern. Dalam perspektif postmodernisme, etika secara moral manusia bersifat ambivalen, secara inheren fenomena moral bercorak “non-rasional, secara tak terhindarkan moralitas bercorak aporetik, norma dan praktik moral tidak dapat dimutlakan dan diuniversalisasikan dan moral adalah realitas pertama dari subjek manusia.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian adalah mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis berbagai macam peluang seorang guru di masa pandemi virus covid-19. Wabah virus covid-19 di samping memiliki berbagai macam kerugian, namun perlu dipahami dalam perspektif optimisme. Ada berbagai macam peluang guru yang bisa ditemukan pada masa penyebaran covid-19. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan pustaka. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pandemi virus covid-19 memberikan dampak positif bagi guru yakni: peningkatan penggunaan teknologi dalam pembelajaran, keterlibatan guru dalam webinar, pelatihan, workshop, kursus yang dilakukan secara online, peningkatan ide-ide kreativitas dalam pembelajaran, penggunaan aplikasi-aplikasi belajar online, dan rumah menjadi pusat belajar. Saran yang diberikan adalah guru hendaknya menyesuaikan secara cepat terhadap berbagai perubahan dalam bidang pendidikan karena pandemi virus covid-19

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah (1) untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis hasil belajar mahasiswa pada mata kuliah manajemen konflik dengan menggunakan metode inkuiri terbimbing dan metode konvensional; (2) untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis berbedaan hasil belajar mahasiswa setelah menggunakan metode inkuiri terbimbing dan metode konvensional (lecturer centered). Metode yang digunakana dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen. Populasi yang digunakan adalah semua mahasiswa semester V Program Studi S1 IPS Fakultas Ilmu Sosial Universitas Negeri Manado semester ganjil Tahun Akademik 2020/2021. Teknik pengumpulan data data melalui hasil tes belajar mahasiswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa (1) metode inkuiri terbimbing dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar mata kuliah manajemen konflik untuk mahasiswa kelas A yakni metode inkuiri terbimbing memberikan skor nilai yang lebih tinggi (78.125) untuk mahasiswa kelas A dibandingkan dengan hasil nilai rata-rata kelas B (70.33) yang menggunakan metode konvensional. (2) Terdapat berbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil belajar mahasiswa dengan menggunakan metode inkuiri terbimbing dan metode konvensional. Artinya ada perbedaan dalam skor tes dari kedua metode tersebut dari 3.72240 sampai 11.86093, perbedaannya mencapai 7.79167

Abstract

This research aims to descibe the improvement of student learning result in learning science by implementation of discovery learning model at fifth grade of SDN Lelang, Banggai Subdistrict. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of four steps namely planning, action, observation and reflection. The techniques of data collecting were test, interview, observation and documentation. The results showed that: (1) skill of teaching teacher in the first cycle 77,5% with good criteria and in second cycle obtained 86% with very good criteria; (2) student learning result in the first cycle 58,33% and the second cycle 83%. Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that implementation of discovery learning model can improve Learning Result of Natural Science at Fifth Grade of SD N Lelang Banggai Subdistrict. Suggestions in this study was that:1) experimental methods could become as a teacher’s way to improve the quality of natural science learning in elementary school.2) in using discovery learning model, teacher have to follow stages well so that learning result can be successful.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to explain influence smartphone on learning motivation of students in elementary school, Mapanget Subdistrict, Manado City. This research is in four elementary schools: SD Inpres 03 Paniki Bawah, SD Katolik Santo Yohanes Mapanget Barat, SD Katolik 02 Santo Don Bosco Paniki Bawah; and SD Katolik 10 Santo Fransiskus Buha. Samples those used are 84 students. This research is a quantitative approach. It used the survey’s method. It have stages: observation of the location of the research, preparation of questionnaires, distribution of questionnaires, validity testing, data collection, processing of research results, analysis of the results of research, and discussion. The result showed that the effect of smartphone on the learning motivation of students in elementary school Mapanget Subdistrict was 0.057 or 5.7% with a significance 0.028 < 0,05. The results of testing t-table is greater than t count, namely t-hitung = 2.232 ≥ (t-tab) = 1.989. This means that smartphone have an effect on students’ learning motivation even though it is in the low category 5.7%. Suggestion as recommendation: students do not use excessive smartphones both at school and at home. Parents and teachers always supervise children especially using of smartphone everday because the effect of smartphone on students’ learning motivation is very low.

Abstract

Indonesia is currently experiencing significant problems related to its national character. The issue of federal character leads to further weakening of the younger generation's understanding of the noble values of Pancasila, which are sourced from the Indonesian local wisdom. This is because the local wisdom values of the community are less discussed by the teacher, let alone associated with the learning material being taught. Teachers in delivering learning materials are more focused on explicitly stated material in the learning curriculum. This study aims to identify the local wisdom of North Sulawesi values that can be used in Civics gaining knowledge of the elementary, junior excessive, and excessive college levels. This study is a qualitative study with records series thru observation, interviews, and literature have a look. Sources of records on this have a look at have been students, teachers, and principals. This has a look at that the values of neighborhood awareness of North Sulawesi are still less internalized in the Civic Education learning process; therefore, this study recommends developing an education model based on the North Sulawesi local cultures.

Abstract

The issue of the community’s awareness of community participation is a very important element in the worship of the basic community's word. This study aims to determine, analyze and interpret the community’s awareness of the participation of the people in basic community worship. The specific target achieved was to find out the role of community awareness and participation of the people in worship of the word. The method used is the qualitative method. The results of this study indicate that communion awareness influences people's participation in the worship of the word, which is equal to 7.4 %. The awareness of communion and participation of the people becomes an important basis when people listen to the Word of God in the worship of the words of the basic community. True worship of the word requires a strong spirit of communion and active and conscious participation of the people.AbstrakMasalah kesadaran komunio terhadap tingkat partisipasi umat merupakan unsur sangat penting dalam ibadat sabda komunitas basis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui, menganalisis dan menginterpretasikan tentang pentingya kesadaran komunio  terhadap partisipasi umat dalam ibadat sabda komunitas basis. Target khusus yang dicapai yakni menemukan sejauh mana kesadaran komunio umat terhadap partisipasi umat dalam ibadat sabda. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode kuantitatif. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa ibadat sabda merupakan perayaan iman, di mana Allah bersabda kepada umatNya, dan umat mendengarkan Sabda Allah serta melaksanakannya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Karena itulah, maka kesadaran komunio dan partisipasi umat menjadi dasar penting saat umat mendengarkan Sabda Allah dalam ibadat sabda komunitas basis. Ibadat sabda yang sejati membutuhkan semangat persekutuan (komunio) yang kokoh dan partisipasi umat secara aktif dan sadar
