Abstract

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi biodiversitas amfibi dari Ordo Anura di Sungai Mandiangin, yang terletak di Kawasan Hutan Dengan Tujuan Khusus (KHDTK) Universitas Lambung Mangkurat, Karang Intan, Kabupaten Banjar, Kalimantan Selatan. Lingkungan KHDTK yang mendukung, seperti tanah yang kaya bahan organik dan sumber air yang melimpah, menyediakan habitat beragam bagi spesies Anura. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis biodiversitas amfibi dan memetakan persebarannya berdasarkan tutupan lahan dengan nilai NDVI. Dilakukan dari Januari hingga Maret 2024 menggunakan metode Visual Encounter Survey (VES) Hasil penelitian mengidentifikasi 7 spesies amfibi dengan total 27 individu. Indeks keanekaragaman Shannon 1.77 menunjukkan tingkat keanekaragaman sedang, dengan indeks kemerataan jenis 0.91 menunjukkan distribusi stabil di antara spesies. Indeks kekayaan jenis 1.82 mengindikasikan kekayaan jenis yang masih rendah. Hutan sekunder tua dengan NDVI tertinggi (0.60-0.70) mendukung keberagaman spesies. Suhu tubuh amfibi berkisar 24.8°C hingga 26.8°C, dengan kelembaban habitat 80%-85%. Studi ini menekankan pentingnya pelestarian habitat untuk menjaga populasi amfibi di daerah Sungai Mandiangin KHDTK ULM.

Abstract

The Special Purpose Forest Area for Education and Training of Lambung Mangkurat University (KHDTK ULM) is a forest area managed by ULM. As an education and training forest, data and information should be obtained in accordance with scientific principles so that they are categorized as valid and accurate. Kayu kacang is a woody plant abundant in this area. The botanical name that is currently consistently used is Strombosia javanica (Olacaceae), even though this name is suspected to be inaccurate. To prove this inaccuracy, this research was conducted in two stages. The first stage was to compare the morphology (physical characteristics) of the leaves, flowers, and fruits of real kayu kacang in the field with that of the kayu kacang botanically named S. javanica. The morphology of the main organs of the latter kayu kacang was obtained from reference searches. If the results were the same, the name could be retained. If not, the name should be changed. The second stage is to obtain an accurate name by comparing the morphological description with a valid identification key. The comparison confirmed that the morphology of the main organs of the real kayu kacang and the reference source was very different. The correct name for the kayu kacang is Radermachera quadripinnata (Bignoniaceae). This botanical name is recommended instead of S. javanica.

Abstract

Kantong semar (Nepenthes spp) termasuk golongan tumbuhan liana atau merambat, memiliki dua rumah, bunga jantan dan betina terpisah pada individu yang berbeda. Kantong semar memiliki cara hidup menempel pada batang atau ranting pohon, atau tumbuh secara terrestrial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi keanekaragaman jenis kantong semar (Nepenthes spp) di kawasan hutan kerangas Liang Anggang, serta menganalisis keanekaragaman tumbuhan yang berada di sekitarnya. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat dua jenis Nepenthes yang dominan di area penelitian, yaitu Nepenthes gracilis Korth. dan Nepenthes mirabilis. Penelitian ini memberikan informasi penting mengenai keanekaragaman jenis kantong semar di hutan kerangas dan dapat menjadi dasar untuk upaya konservasi tumbuhan tersebut.

Abstract

Critical thinking ability is important to be possessed by every individual, especially in the era of globalization. The ability to think critically supports the individual to overcome the problems in life, among which environmental problems are. Individuals and environments cannot be separated, the relationship between them is reciprocal. Solutions to environmental problems can be realized through critical thinking. Each individual's critical thinking ability varies, depending on the frequency of frequent exercises to develop that ability. Such exercises include frequently asking questions, posing assumptions, identifying information, making inferences, identifying impacts, and so on. It is therefore important to identify the critical thinking skills of individuals in a forum. Description of the ability to think critically about environmental problems is expected to be the basis for the design of development of learning plan set related to the subject of Environmental Knowledge. The description of students' critical thinking ability is obtained through questions prepared according to Polya’s problem solving syntax. The set of questions contains elements of reasoning that are judged based on the intellectual standards of reasoning by Paul and Elder.
