Abstract

Pengelolaan dan pemantauan lingkungan PT Arutmin Indonesia-NPLCT yang mengoperasikan pelabuhan batu bara di Kabupaten Kotabaru, Kalimantan Selatan difokuskan pada fauna laut. Avifauna diurnal di lingkungan PT Arutmin Indonesia-NPLCT belum dieksplorasi dan didokumentasikan. Tujuan penelitian adalah menganalisis penggunaan tipe habitat oleh avifauna dalam tiga periode pengamatan. Spesies avifauna diidentifi kasi pada titik/lingkar kelimpahan dan penjelajahan di hutan mangrove, hutan sekunder, permukiman/perkantoran, lahan terbuka/padang rumput/semak belukar, dan perairan. Frekuensi jumpaan setiap spesies avifauna dan frekuensi relatif penggunaan tipe habitat oleh spesies dihitung berdasarkan pada unit waktu berdurasi 5 menit per unit. Selama penelitian ditemukan 57 spesies avifauna di seluruh lingkungan tersebut. Jumlah atau keragaman spesies burung cenderung turun di perairan dan naik di empat tipe habitat lainnya mulai dari periode pengamatan pertama hingga ketiga. Hampir semua spesies ditemukan di lebih dari satu tipe habitat. Frekuensi relatif penggunaan tipe habitat oleh spesies-spesies itu bervariasi. Hanya dua spesies saja yang ditemukan 100% menggunakan satu tipe habitat untuk aktivitasnya. Environment management and monitoring of PT Arutmin Indonesia-NPLCT operating a coal port in Kotabaru Regency, Kalimantan Selatan was used to be focused on marine biota. Diurnal avifauna in the area of PT Arutmin Indonesia-NPLCT was not explored and documented. The objective of the research was to analyze the habitat type utilization by avifauna in three observation periods. Avifauna species was identifi ed in abundance points and survey in mangrove forest, secondary forest, resettlement/offi ce, open area/grassland/ shrub, and water. Scan frequency of every avifauna species and relative frequency of habitat type utilization by species were counted based on a fi ve-minute unit. Fifty seven avifauna species were found in the area. The number and the diversity of species tended to decrease on the water and increase in the other habitat types from the fi rst period to the third one. Almost all species were found in more than a single habitat type. Relative frequency of habitat type utilization by species varied. There were two species utilizing a single habitat type for their activity.

Abstract

The focus of monitoring was the plant purposely cultivated because after re-vegetation, there were a very few of other plants growing naturally on reclimed coal mining area which were recorded, whereas these plants had important values. The research aimed to record all plants and to identify predominant plants over the reclaimed land of PT Adaro Indonesia. There were four sampling locations with 13 squares of 50 × 20 m2 on each location established and on each square there were 5 plots of 2 × 2 m2 plotse made. Both plant species and its individual number of woodyplant saplings were recorded on each square, so in each plot, there were small species and its individual number of either woody-plant seedlings or non-woody plants (herbs/shrubs, grasses, ferns). The relative density and the relative frequency of woody or non-woody plants were summed to obtain the important value index (IVI) of each successional stage. There were 107 plant species consisting of 32, 43, 27, and 5 species of saplings,seedlings/herbs/shrubs, grasses, and ferns respectively. From those species, 16 species of woody plants and 2 species of herbs were planted purposely,other species grew naturally and even some of them were dominants. Either the number of plants or the dominating plant is varied according to the sampling location and the growing stage.

Abstract

Local potential, especially pteridophyte plants and based on local potential can be used as a source of learning, plant development based on local potential. Validity can be interpreted as an act of proving precisely through certain stages to achieve the desired results. The purpose of this study is the validity of the 3D Pageflip Pocket Book based on the Pteridophyta species, Kurau sub-district, validity. The study used a descriptive approach to research on Pteridophyta in the Mangrove Area. The results showed that the test of the validity of the expert's assessment obtained an average result that was very valid, namely 92.10%. Based on the scores obtained, the Pteridophyta species pocket book based on the 3D Pageflip developed is very valid.

Abstract

Teachers play an important role in learning planning so that knowledge can be conveyed properly to students. The use of effective and interesting teaching materials, especially for the concept of Ecology which has a broad material coverage, can help students achieve the expected learning goals, one of which is the Electronic Student Worksheet. This study aims to describe the validity of the results of the development of the Electronic Biology Student Worksheet for Grade X High School Ecology Concepts Based on Problem Based Learning. This research is a research and development with a 4D model which is limited only to the Develop stage. The validity of Electronic Student Worksheet is seen based on the suitability test and feasibility test. The results of the suitability test obtained are with an average score of 4.50 which means that Electronic Student Worksheet is very suitable, and the results of the feasibility test which have an average score of 4.58 which means that Electronic Student Worksheet is very technically feasible to be used in learning.

Abstract

Local potential in South Kalimantan, especially plants, can be used as a source of learning. Valid learning resources are learning resources that are validated by experts. Validation can be interpreted as an act of proof appropriately through certain stages to always achieve the desired results. The purpose of this study was todesribe the validity of the 3D pageflip based pocket book of the Cyperaceae Family in the Galam Vegetated Swamp, Bati-Bati District. This research method uses Education Design Research (EDR) with the Tessmer formative evaluation model by 2 experts. The results of the validation stage research by 90,97% of experts with the criteria “very valid” so that it can be used as a learning resorce.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan handout berorientasi lahan basah rawa tanpa hutan dan rawa rumput untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis topik interaksi antara makhluk hidup dan lingkungan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) menggunakan model 4D. Handout didesain secara kontekstual dan menggunakan model pembelajaran problem-based learning sebagai basis pengembangan. Kelayakan dilihat dari hasil validasi ahli (validator) dan keterbacaan oleh mahasiswa mata kuliah ekologi lahan basah menggunakan instrumen validasi handout. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh dari validasi kelayakan handout berorientasi lahan basah rawa tanpa hutan dan rawa rumput oleh ahli yaitu aspek kelayakan isi sebesar 95,56% (sangat valid), aspek kelayakan komponen penyajian sebesar 88% (sangat valid), kelayakan komponen kegrafikan sebesar 88% (sangat valid) dan aspek kebahasaan sebesar 94% (sangat valid) serta uji keterbacaan mahasiswa sebesar 82,07% (kategori sangat baik). Sehingga disimpulkan bahwa handout berorientasi lahan basah layak untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran

Abstract

One of the causes of learning difficulties in the population concept is that there are not many locally-based materials. The purpose of this study was to obtain a Handout of Plant Populations of the Tabanio Coastal Forest as a practical and effective Plant Ecology Enrichment Course. This research is a development research using Education Design Research (EDR) design through formative evaluation of the Tessmer model at the small group test stage to determine the practicality of expectations and the effectiveness of expectations from the developed Handout. The subjects of this study were 10 students of the Biology Education Study Program, FKIP University of Lambung Mangkurat Banjarmasin with the object of research being plant population structures found in the coastal forest of Tabanio, Tanah Laut Regency. The results of the research show that the teaching materials in the form of handouts developed are very practical and very effective to be used as material for enriching the population concept in improving learning outcomes for the Plant Ecology course.

Abstract

The environment is a natural laboratory that presents unique phenomena that humans must study. Plants in the surrounding environment can be used as learning resources and media to bring students closer to their learning objects. Learning by utilizing objects in the surrounding environment can help the learning process. The diversity of tree in the Lambung Mangkurat University campus can be used as a source of learning and support learning based on the concept of diversity. One of the learning media that can be developed is a field guide book to guide users when learning independently in the environment. This study aims to describe the validity of the results of the development of a field guide "diversity of trees in the Lambung Mangkurat University campus". The feasibility of the field guide book was obtained from two experts and one high school biology teacher. The results of the validator's input and suggestions become material for correction and revision of learning products. The results of the field guide book validation show that the product is very valid and theoretically or procedurally feasible to be used for implementation at a later stage.

Abstract

Keanekaragaman tumbuhan terbagi atas Alga, Bryophyta, Pteridophyta, dan Spermatophyta yang hidup pada habitat perairan maupun daratan. Salah satu famili anggota tumbuhan Spermatophyta yang berhabitat di air adalah famili Hydrocharitaceae. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui keanekaragaman spesies famili Hydrocharitaceae di kawasan rawa vegetasi galam Kecamatan Bati-bati Kabupaten Tanah Laut. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan diskriptif pada penelitan keanekaragaman spesies dari famili Hydrocharitaceae di kawasan rawa vegetasi galam dengan teknik pengambilan data secara jelajah. Data keanekaragaman spesies dianalisis secara diskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, bahwa rawa bervegetasi galam Kecamatan Bati-Bati Kabupaten Tanah Laut ditemukan enam spesies anggota famili Hydrocharitaceae, yaitu; Blyxa echinosperma (CB. Clarke) Hook.f., Hydrilla verticillata (L. f.) Royle., Hydrocharis morsus-ranae L., Limnobium laevigatum (Humb. & Bonpl. ex Willd.) Heine., Ottelia ovalifolia (R.Br.) Rich., dan Ottelia alismoides (L.) Persoon.
