Abstract

This literature review study is motivated by empirical phenomena describing instances of violence against housewives with HIV. The implications of such violence result in physical, psychological, social harm, and even death. This literature aims to theoretically describe the impacts and factors of gender-based violence on housewives with HIV. The literature review was conducted using a descriptive method on four articles obtained from Google Scholar. The results of the literature review indicate the presence of physical, psychological/emotional, sexual, and economic impacts on housewives with HIV who experience violence. Additionally, the factors contributing to violence against women include cultural, economic, legal, political, and personality factors. Patriarchal culture is identified as a key element that enables violence against housewives with HIV. Human rights must be upheld, and violence against women must be entirely prohibited in Indonesian society. Future researchers are encouraged to conduct broader studies to generalize the impacts of gender-based violence on housewives with HIV, as research on this topic is still very limited.

Abstract

. Human Rights (HAM) include the right to education for every individual, including children with disabilities. The importance of inclusive and quality education for children with disabilities, in accordance with human rights principles which include integrity, freedom and equality. This research method uses a descriptive literature review method. Conclusion With appropriate and inclusive education, children with disabilities can develop the skills necessary to live independently and participate actively in society. They will also be better prepared to compete in the world of work, opening up better career opportunities and improving the overall quality of life. Suggestions in this case can be given to provide educational rights for children with disabilities which require real attention and action from the government and public awareness.

Abstract

The social assistance program provided by the government through the National Social Security System (SJSN) has become increasingly important in helping those affected by the crisis and ensuring their basic rights are respected. This is in line with the conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic since 2020, which has placed significant pressure on the socio-economic conditions of many countries, including Indonesia. The aim of this paper is to review and analyze various studies on how the implementation of social security related to social assistance by the government during the COVID-19 pandemic has been carried out effectively or not. The method used in this paper is a narrative literature review, where the author conducted an online search using data collection techniques through literature review sourced from Google Scholar. Out of 20 literatures found, 4 were relevant to the keywords and met the criteria. The conclusion of this paper indicates that overall, the implementation of social assistance during the COVID-19 pandemic still needs to be improved and strengthened, especially in terms of data management, monitoring, and coordination among stakeholders to ensure that assistance can be distributed more effectively and efficiently to the target groups. In the future, the country must be prepared for the possibility of another pandemic. Therefore, the government needs to build a better and stronger system to implement social assistance policies.

Abstract

Low vision is a form of visual impairment that limits daily activities and cannot be corrected with glasses, contact lenses, medication, or surgery (Jennifer Hissett 2008, 1032-33). Social workers have unique abilities in carrying out their role as professional experts in implementing low vision services at LAYAK Foundation's. One of the social institutions in Jakarta that participates in the implementation of social welfare that raises the issue of low vision is Yayasan Pelayanan Anak dan Keluarga (LAYAK). So the researcher wants to see what role social workers can play in helping low vision disabilities overcome limitations through the LAYAK Foundation's rehabilitation services. Research using qualitative methods using observation techniques, interviews and also using documentation studies, researchers focus the problem on the role of social workers carried out in rehabilitation services at LAYAK Foundation. Based on Walter A Fridlander's theory, the role of social workers is divided into 7 roles, namely as a catalyst, informator, mediator, motivator, counselor, facilitator and educator. In the research findings, it can be concluded that the role of social workers in increasing client independence in rehabilitation services at the LAYAK Foundation has advantages and disadvantages.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of families, communities, and the government in supporting people with disabilities, especially in terms of accessibility, self-concept formation, and increasing self-confidence. This article was prepared using the literature review method, because of the idea that existing knowledge is an accumulation of previous knowledge, as well as the idea that we can learn and build from what other researchers have studied from 2013-2024. As for the results of this literature review, namely the role of family and society in supporting individuals with sensory disabilities, it can be concluded that support is not only provided by social support, namely there is educational support, mental support and spiritual support. Apart from that, the importance of internal influence is not only from the family but from outside parties, namely the community. With the right collaboration, we can synergize in providing help and services to people with disabilities.

Abstract

Background: Getting a decent job is the right of every individual, regardless of social status. In Indonesia, this is regulated in Article 27 Paragraph 2 of the 1945 Constitution which states that "every citizen has the right to work and earn a decent livelihood", as well as people with disabilities. Objective: This review literature aims to provide in-depth insight into the discrimination faced by people with disabilities in the world of work, as well as provide recommendations to improve current conditions. Method: This study uses a descriptive literature review method, which is to search for literature from journals through Google Scholar. Results: The results of the analysis of several articles that have been explained above show that discrimination against people with disabilities in the world of work is still widely felt by people with disabilities. Conclusion and Suggestion: Discrimination is still felt by people with disabilities, both in the work environment and the social environment. This has a quite serious impact on people with disabilities, both physically and emotionally. Awareness campaigns need to be carried out to eliminate stigma and stereotypes about people with disabilities in the world of work. More research is needed to continue to identify the barriers faced by people with disabilities and develop more effective solutions.

Abstract

Anak Down Syndrome mengalami kesulitan berkomunikasi, baik verbal maupun nonverbal, akibat keterbatasan perkembangan sistem saraf dan otak, sehingga berdampak pada kemampuannya berbicara dan berinteraksi dengan orang lain. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk memahami bagaimana teknologi bantu, khususnya perangkat augmentatif alternatif (AAC), dapat digunakan untuk membantu anak-anak dengan down syndrome berkomunikasi. Menggunakan metode tinjauan pustaka deskriptif untuk mengeksplorasi peran teknologi bantu dalam meningkatkan keterampilan komunikasi anak Down Syndrome. Hasil penelitian ini menyoroti keberhasilan dan tantangan penerapan teknologi pendukung di lingkungan pendidikan inklusif. Rekomendasi ini dapat membantu mengembangkan strategi dan program pendidikan yang lebih efektif untuk anak berkebutuhan khusus. Anak-anak dengan Down Syndrome seringkali menghadapi tantangan besar dalam mengembangkan keterampilan komunikasi, yang berdampak pada kemampuan mereka dalam bersosialisasi dan mengakses pendidikan. Anak Down Syndrome biasanya mengalami kesulitan dalam berkomunikasi, seperti pengucapan vokal yang tidak jelas dan kesalahan penggunaan kata. Oleh karena itu, ada fokus pada penggunaan teknologi Assistive, seperti perangkat augmentatif alternatif (AAC), untuk meningkatkan keterampilan komunikasi anak dengan Down Syndrome.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of social workers in building the independence of people with disabilities using descriptive methods. By analyzing various relevant literature, this study identifies and evaluates the strategies and interventions implemented by social workers to support the independence of people with disabilities. The results of this study show that social workers play an important role in many aspects of the lives of people with disabilities, including education, skills training, psychosocial support, and economic empowerment. People with disabilities receive benefits such as support, advocacy and facilitation provided by social workers in efforts to help them. The approaches used include counseling, advocacy and community empowerment. This study concludes that social work interventions can contribute significantly to encouraging the independence and active participation of people with disabilities in society.

Abstract

Education is a basic right of every individual, including people with disabilities. However, the accessibility of students with disabilities to higher education is still a problem. Some of them are the lack of infrastructure, supporting facilities, and appropriate curriculum. This article reviews the literature on how higher education is accessible to people with disabilities, identifies key challenges, and looks at ways to improve inclusion. This method uses literature research from academic sources. The results show that the main problems include the accessibility of facilities and the management and human resources of universities. Conclusion Universities must improve lecturer training, change the curriculum, and improve campus infrastructure to achieve this. It is hoped that the implementation of these strategies will result in a more inclusive and equitable education.

Abstract

Hak asasi manusia dalam sebuah dunia pekerjaan merupakan hak primer yang melekat dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat meliputi hak untuk bekerja perlindungan di tempat kerja, hak untuk memiliki pekerjaan yang layak, hak untuk memiliki upah yang seimbang dan hak dalam kebebasan berpendapat. Hal itulah yang menjadi hak asasi manusia yang sangat penting untuk memastikan kesejahteraan dan keamanan pekerja. Perlindungan HAM sudah diatur dalam pasal 28A sampai 28J UUD 1945. Penyandang disabilitas tunanetra merupakan individu yang mengalami gangguan penglihatan, baik secara total maupun sebagian, walaupun dengan bantuan alat bantu penglihatan, Mereka berhak memiliki pekerjaan yang layak dan memerlukan perlindungan dan fasilitas yang sesuai untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan dan keamanan mereka di tempat kerja. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk membahas tentang akses penyandang disabilitas tunanetra dalam perspektif hak asasi manusia. Metode yang digunakan untuk penulisan ini adalah kajian sebanyak 10 literatur melalui database google schoolar pada tanggal 20 mei sampai 2 juni 2024, Hasil kajian menggambarkan aksebilitas tersebut akan diketahui Upaya/akses penerima pekerja dalam menerima penyandang disabilitas tunanetra apakah selama ini sesuai dengan perspektif hak asasi manusia yang berlaku, serta minimnya kesempatan disabilitas tunanetra dalam bekerja disebuah penyedia pekerjaan yang lebih banyak membutuhkan karyawan/staff yang normal dibandingkan disabilitas tunanetra. Berdasarkan hal tersebut maka pemerintah atau pemberi pekerjaan harus mengutamakan aksebilitas disabilitas tunanetra sesuai dengan Hak Asasi Manusi (HAM) dan memiliki keistimewaan khusus dalam akses dibandingkan manusia normal Rekomendasi dari kajian ini adalah diperlukan peran dan dan kewajiban pemerintah/swasta dalam pemenuhan hak aksesbilitas tunanetra terhadap pemberi pekerjaan dengan disesuaikan Hak Asasi Manusia yang berlaku di Indonesia.
