Abstract

Abstrak. Almost a half of students of IX A classwere not able to develop ideas, thoughts, feelings, and information in the formof a review of science book. Most of them were having difficulties in writingsequentially. Students were even had no idea to write. They ended their writingwith two or three sentences as they were afraid of making mistakes and feltdoubtful. They also produced ambigous main ideas. The tacle these problems,“Baku Simpul Berbintang” is applied. It is an acronym for “membaca, diskusi, presentasi,kesimpulan, dan berburu bintang” (reading, discussion, presentation,conclusion, and hunting for stars). The purpose of this study is to developstudents’ learning acheivement of writing science book review through thestrategy used. It is expected that through the used strategy, students are moremotivated, creative, and have high enthusiasm in learning as the strategyemploys enjoyfull activity therefore in the last improving students scores.This study uses Classroom action resarch tmethod of research which is done intwo cycles. In the first cycle it is shown that 58 % percent of the students(21 students) obtain scores of above 77 meanwhile 42% (15 students) obtain lessthan score 77. This result is still considered underachieved so the cycle isrepeated in the second run. In this cycle 90 % of the total students obtainscore 77 and above, and only 10% (4 students) did not obtain the standard.  On the basis of this result, the study showsthat there is a significant improvement of students’ learning achievement forboth personal and classical improvement. It can be concluded that “Baku SampulBerbintang” can help to improve students’ skill and competence in writingscience book review.  Kata Kunci: menulis resensi, bakusimpul berbintang

Abstract

This article is discusson entrepreneurial learning activities using WhatsApp application and entrepreneurial video media, including student responses to entrepreneurship learning in written texts enacted on WhatsApp, and the entrepreneurship learning responses in the video production process was delivered on WhatsApp. This study employed a qualitative approach. We recruited 400 students from STKIP PGRI Jombang, STKIP PGRI Nganjuk, STKIP PGRI Tulungagung, and UNWAHA to participate in the study. Findings suggested thatthe majority of the students attained sustained motivation in entrepreneurship learning. They also engaged in creative learning using video in the WhatsApp enactment. Our study calls for pedagogical decisions for teachers to employ this learning model in other classroom subjects.

Abstract

The motto "Bhinneka Tunggal Ika" is the basis for diversity in Indonesia. However, the level of tolerance is a concern, especially regarding the disapproval of exclusive groups. This research emphasizes the importance of the value of tolerance, particularly among the nation's younger generation. Education is considered a platform for building tolerance by including subject matter that explores understanding of cultural, religious, and ethnic diversity. This research focuses on the use of comics as learning media, which can capture students' attention through a combination of pictures and stories, helping them understand the values of tolerance more deeply. This Classroom Action Research (PTK) aims to measure the effectiveness of using comics to increase understanding of the value of tolerance among students of class VIII-D at SMPN 3 Jombang. The results show that the percentage obtained by students in the pre-cycle only up to 6%, then in cycle I a percentage of 59% was achieved using an average of 76.25. In cycle II, there was a significant increase, reaching 94% with an average score of 84.66. In conclusion, comic learning media is effective in the learning process because it can enhance students' knowledge and understanding of the importance of tolerance.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the importance of using various learning models in learning at school. In learning students tend to be passive and only act as recipients of information from the teacher. In addition, the learning model used by teachers is still conventional or teacher-centered. The purpose of this study was to explain the effect of the Problem-Based Learning model on students' learning outcomes. The method used in this study is a quantitative experiment. While the population of this study were MA class students. Mambaul Ulum Islamic Boarding School Malang, with a sampling technique that is saturated sampling. The data collection technique used is documentation of student scores and questionnaires. Based on the results of testing the hypothesis that the Problem Based Learning Model influences Aqidah Akhlaq Learning Outcomes at Madrasah Aliyah Miftahul Ulum, according to the records of the Aqidah Akhlaq subject teacher scores show an average value of 77.4 which is included in the very good category. So, it can be concluded that student learning outcomes in the Aqidah Akhlaq subject at Mambaul Ulum Islamic Boarding School Malang are influenced by one of the learning models, namely Problem Based Learning.

Abstract

The unemployment rate among educated people in Indonesia is increasing every year as the Central Statistics Agency noted that from 2016 to 2020 it was 7.35%. The increasing number of unemployed among the educated is supported by the fact that most university graduates prefer to be job seekers rather than job creators. This shows that the entrepreneurial intention of students is still low, so entrepreneurship learning is needed to grow technopreneurship intentions. This study aims to analyze the effect of entrepreneurial learning on students' technopreneurship intention. This is an explanatory survey conducted using questionnaires to collect data followed by testing of hypothesis and analyzing the data through the regression technique. The population involved 112 students and a saturated sample was used. The results showed that the overall student entrepreneurial learning is effective and student technology-based business activities are high. Moreover, the entrepreneurial learning variable was found to affect students' technology-based business activities. This implies it is necessary to increase entrepreneurial learning by participating deeply in industry, recognizing opportunities through cultural participation, and applying the practical theory of entrepreneurial action to increase the technopreneurship intention of students.

Abstract

E-learning requires students to study the material that has been uploaded to Schoology app independently. It also included independent and open discussion among students under the guidance of the lecturer in charge. The purpose of this research is to describe student independence in entrepreneurial learning using integrated entrepreneurship video in Schoology LMS application. It is a qualitative research which describes student independence in terms of learning, answering questions, and peer reviewing. This research was conducted from March to September 2019, involving 26 students as the informants. The data collection method used was participatory; the researchers played a key role as lecturers. The results of the study show that students can download an open the application easily. They did the tasks on time, learned the material (in the form of PowerPoint slide) on new entrepreneurial product ideas, learned the videos, conveyed general ideas, answered psychomotor questions after learning the videos, and conduct peer reviewing independently. In general, students learned entrepreneurship through videos in Schoology LMS application independently.

Abstract

The environmental hygiene counseling program in Krembangan Village was motivated by the still low quality of sanitation and community waste management, which has an impact on the high risk of environmental-based diseases. This activity aims to improve community knowledge, attitudes, and behavior regarding the importance of maintaining environmental cleanliness in a sustainable manner. The implementation method includes the preparation phase, implementation of counseling, monitoring and evaluation, sustainability strategies, and strengthening community capacity. The approach used is participatory and contextual, through workshops, group discussions, simulations, and direct practice such as making healthy toilets and waste sorting systems. The results show an increase in awareness and active participation of residents, although challenges are still encountered in the form of limited infrastructure, cultural resistance, and low access to clean water. The formation of environmental cadres and integration of programs with village activities are the main strategies for maintaining sustainability. This counseling proves that collaboration between the community, local figures, and the village government is able to encourage changes in clean and healthy living behavior at the community level.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas peran pembangunan ekonomi negara berkembang yang di dukung International Monetary Fund (IMF). Di era globalisasi, negara-negara berkembang menghadapi tantangan seperti volatilitas pasar keuangan dan keterbatasan sumber daya. IMF, didirikan pada tahun 1944, berperan penting dalam menyediakan pinjaman, bantuan teknis, penelitian, analisis, dan surveilans untuk memperkuat kebijakan ekonomi negara anggotanya. Artikel ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan mengkaji sumber dari berbagai jurnal referensi untuk memahami dampak dan kritik terhadap peran IMF. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun IMF telah membantu negara-negara berkembang mengatasi krisis keuangan dan meningkatkan pertumbuhan ekonomi, kebijakan dan persyaratannya seringkali dipandang memperburuk kondisi negara yang sedang krisis. Terlepas dari kritik tersebut, IMF terus berperan dalam menciptakan stabilitas ekonomi global. Artikel ini juga mengulas sejarah IMF, kebijakan jangka pendek dan jangka panjangnya, serta dampak bantuan IMF pada beberapa negara. Kesimpulannya, IMF perlu terus beradaptasi dan berinovasi agar dapat mendukung pertumbuhan ekonomi yang inklusif dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

The Sarana Agro Lestari Agricultural Cooperative in Jombang Regency, East Java, addresses the issue of low farmer income caused by limited access to capital, market price fluctuations, and restricted access to technology and broader markets. This study aims to analyze the cooperative's role in improving farmers' welfare through empowerment programs. A qualitative approach was employed, gathering data through in-depth interviews with cooperative managers and farmer group representatives, as well as analyzing supporting documents. The results show that the cooperative provides benefits such as financial access, affordable production inputs, modern technology training, and more effective crop marketing. However, challenges like insufficient capital, limited facilities, and price fluctuations hinder the cooperative's optimal role. Strengthening partnerships, product diversification, and technological innovation are recommended to enhance the cooperative's sustainability in supporting farmers' welfare.
