Abstract

History education is the process of inheritance of cultural values, knowledge, skills and historical struggles of a series of past events that have already occurred which organized to function as a material in the process of learning for learners to develop awareness of history so it will not fade away within the young generation as a successor for the nation which have an impact on nationalism. Establishing history education needs to be done from an early age so that children become accustomed to observe and interpret historical events to prepare for the future. Establishing history education has to be done in a proper method. The researchers used storytelling method in history education. The purposes of this study are to explain the difference in the nationalism attitudes of early childhood students at the time before and after given treatments and to know the improvement of nationalism attitudes of early childhood students after given the treatments in order to record the results. This study used quantitative research method with quasi experimental design. The data was taken using questionnaires of nationalism scale in the early childhood students which was filled by their classroom teachers. The population of this study is all students in Handayani Kindergarten, Brebes; while the sample is 22 children in class B2 which became experiment class provided with treatments by the researchers using storytelling method in history education. Analysis of validity using product moment where 3 out of 40 items of the instruments scale of nationalism attitudes are fall and the results of the calculation with cronbach?s alpha reliability obtained score as much as 0.754 > 0.06 has proven that the instruments are reliable so that it can be used as a measurement tool in this study. The results of the study are significant in which pre-test average minimum value is 91 and average maximum value is 84.68. While the average minimum value of the post-test after the treatments is 99 and the average maximum value is 109.14. The normality of the test using a trust level 0.05% paired sample t-test so the hypothesis is accepted. There is a significant increase in early childhood students? nationalism attitudes implementation of storytelling method in history education to develop early childhood nationalism of 16.07%.

Abstract

The ability to interact socially is one aspect of the characteristics of growth and development. The inhibition of the self-adjustment process can interfere with the child?s social interaction process. Social interactions that do not meet social expectations will endanger social acceptance by the group. This will eliminate the opportunity for children to learn socially. The absence of adjustments between parties who interact also makes the process of social interaction disrupted and can be stopped. This study aims to determine the effect of the adjustment on the social interaction of children in TK Pertiwi 2 Serang. This research is quantitative with the method of Simple Linear Regression Analysis. The population of the study is all children aged 4-5 years in Serang Village with a sample of 38 children. The sampling technique is Purposive Sample, which is the determination of samples with certain considerations. The research data are obtained through validity and reliability tests of 41 items and 0.937 for the adjustment scale and 39 items and 0.950 for the scale of social interaction. Based on the results of Simple Linear Regression analysis, a correlation value of 0.804 is obtained. It means the relationship between the variables of self-adjustment and social interaction is high. The coefficient of determination is 64.7%, rounded up to 65% positive effect, meaning that the better the child?s adjustment, the better the social interaction. While 35% are other factors that are not examined. The calculation results obtained by the regression equation Y = 21.121 + 0.765X. The equation corresponds to a simple linear regression formula, Y = a + bX, where Y is the dependent variable, a constant, b regression coefficient, and X independent variable.

This research is a single-subject experimental research.  The finding showed that playing percussion was proven able to improve the physical-motor and emotional skills of a cerebral palsy child. The average result on baseline 1 period, done within 5 sessions, was 38%. It improved during the intervention period that was done during 5 sessions. It was 61%. The improvement could be seen on the baseline 2, done within 6 sessions. It was 77.5%. Therefore, there was significant improvement between before and after intervention with 39.5%. This research is expected to be the basic research in developing instruments to develop learning or skills for a cerebral palsy child.

Abstract

Nowadays, gadgets can be utilized as a tool to stimulate children’ language growth and development. The research is intended to determine the response of early childhood due to the use of gadgets screen as a stimulus for children's language development viewed from behavioristic theory. There are 3 subjects in this research, namely early childhood aged 30-50 months. This research method employs a naturalistic approach. The result reveals that gadgets as a stimulus for early childhood language development viewed from behavioristic theory show different responses, namely 2 children give a negative response and 1 child with a positive response. The negative response is the child experiences speech delays, while the positive response is the child master’s foreign vocabulary and is more expressive in retelling what the child watches from the gadget. Furthermore, it can be concluded that gadget as a stimulus for language development generates negative and positive responses for early childhood, so that adults should be judicious in facing the children by paying attention in some cases, such as timing in using gadgets, content, types of assistance, and giving them many proportions to interact directly.
