Abstract

Kualitas moral yang tinggi dibutuhkan untuk membuat anak sukses dalam kehidupan di rumah maupun di sekolah. Anak membutuhkan keterampilan moral bukan hanya sekedar prestasi akademik terutama dalam berhubungan dengan orang lain. Anak yang memiliki kualitas moral yang tinggi dapat dikatakan anak cerdas secara moral. Borba merumuskan kecerdasan moral dalam tujuh kebajikan yaitu : emphaty, conscience, self control, respect, kindness, tolerance dan fairness. Kualitas moral anak berkembang melalui proses yang terus menerus berkelanjutan sepanjang hidup. Kecerdasan moral dipengaruhi oleh faktor indvidu dan sosial. Faktor individu yang dimaksud adalah temperamen, kontrol diri, harga diri, umur dan kecerdasan, pendidikan, interaksi sosial, emosi; sedangkan faktor sosial meliputi keluarga, teman sebaya, sekolah, media massa, dan masyarakat. Meningkatnya kapasitas moral anak dan didukung dengan lingkungan yang kondusif, sehingga anak berpotensi menguasai moralitas yang lebih tinggi. Ketika anak berhasil menguasai satu kebajikan, kecerdasan moralnya semakin meningkat dan anak mencapai tingkat kecerdasan moral yang lebih tinggi.Kata Kunci: kecerdasan moral; anak usia prasekolah

Abstract

The suboptimal use of learning media and students’ difficulty in understanding the material are the reasons why Microsoft sway-based interactive media is developed. This research aims to increase motivation and learning outcomes through interactive multimedia using Microsoft sway. The research applied the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) because it is structured, rational, and complete steps for developing learning media. The result showed that 1) the step of developing interactive multimedia using Microsoft Sway was according to the students' and teachers' need analysis which required audio-visual media. The interactive multimedia design using Microsoft sway was systematically depicted in the flowchart and the development was illustrated in detailed capture. The evaluation from material and media experts said that this interactive multimedia was feasible. 2) The implementation of Microsoft Sway-based interactive media was according to the schedule, 3) The students’ learning outcomes taught with Microsoft sway-based interactive multimedia were better than taught with conventional media, 4) Microsoft sway-based interactive multimedia improved student motivation. The result of this study described that this developing interactive media was effective to improve learning outcomes and it can be beneficial for teachers as the alternative media in beauty class.

Abstract

Development of Character Assessment Instruments for Elementary School Students in Sikka Regency in Mathematics Subjects Materials for Flat Shapes Based on Android Applications is a development research with the formulation of the problem, namely: The assessment model used by the teacher, Design of developing student character assessment instruments, Validity, Reliability and Practicality of student character assessment instruments on Android-based flat-building math subjects. The purpose of the study was to produce an instrument for assessing the character of elementary school students in Sikka Regency based on a valid, reliable, and practical android application. The research method uses research and development (R&D). The development using the Djemari Mardapi model was modified in three stages: the preliminary stage, the development stage, and the evaluation stage. The results of the study resulted in a teacher's guidebook and the application of student character assessment instruments in valid, reliable, and practical mathematics subjects, the instrument was validated by a validator to test the feasibility of the instrument, reliability was analyzed by intraclass correlation coefficients obtained by an average limited trial of 0.783. Large-scale trials average 0.868 and average measure 0.906. One-way ANOVA statistical test obtained a valid value of 0.85. Practicality test highest score 80 practical. In conclusion, the development research resulted in a teacher's guidebook and an application for character assessment for elementary school students in mathematics. Suggestions for teachers to use guidebooks and applications that have been downloaded via Smartphones in classroom learning when conducting learning evaluations.

Abstract

The prevailing patriarchal culture in Indonesia that posits a father only to act as a breadwinner is thought to be the reason for the lack of father involvement in parenting. Therefore, this study aims to analyze father involvement in problematic behavior in children aged 3-4 years by considering the variables of father's socioeconomic status (SES) and child's gender. This study employs a quantitative descriptive approach through a multiple regression model coupled with survey. The selection of respondents was determined through quota sampling technique by considering the ease of access to data collection. With or without control over the SES of fathers and the gender of children, the engagement indicator contributes an impact to the problematic behavior in children, while accessibility does not. The problematic behavior in children is lower with the control over SES of fathers and the gender of children compared to the condition without control over these two variables. Of the two variables, only the father’s age indicator affects the problematic behavior in children. The results of this study can encourage fathers to get actively involved in raising their children in a way that is appropriate to the current cultural context and situation.

Abstract

The challenges in parents' monitoring and regulating digital content require effective communication patterns between parents and children. This study aims to analyze communication patterns between parents who work as PAUD teachers and early childhood in utilizing YouTube as a digital literacy medium. This study is a quantitative study with a correlational design. The study subjects were PAUD teachers with children aged 0–8 years in Semarang City. The data collection technique used a questionnaire, while data analysis was carried out through descriptive analysis and classical assumption tests, including normality tests, linearity tests, Spearman Rank correlation tests, and Wilcoxon Signed Rank One-Sample tests. The study's results showed a significant positive relationship between parent-child communication patterns and the use of YouTube as a digital literacy medium. The better and more intensive the communication pattern, the higher the success of the educational use of YouTube. The communication patterns applied, namely the equality pattern and the balanced separate pattern, reflect the active involvement of parents through mentoring, time restrictions, and control features. The conclusion of this study shows that effective parental communication patterns play a very important role in supporting early childhood digital literacy through the use of YouTube. The implication is that parents can optimize their role in guiding children to explore digital content wisely and in a balanced way.

Abstract

Self-Efficacy plays an important role in supporting learning, as well as self-religiosity. As a Muslim teacher, it is necessary to have good self-efficacy and religiosity as a guide in teaching religious values to students. Teacher demographics here examine age and length of teaching. This study aims to examine whether there is an effect of religiosity, age, length of teaching on the efficacy of Muslim teachers in PAUD institutions. The research method used is quantitative research, with a sample of 323 Muslim teachers. The results of the study showed a significant influence between religiosity on the efficacy of Muslim teachers, where the higher the religiosity, the higher the efficacy of Muslim teachers. While age and length of teaching have no significant effect on the efficacy of Muslim teachers. The conclusion of this study is that the efficacy of Muslim teachers is influenced by the religiosity of teachers, but demographic backgrounds such as age and length of teaching do not affect the level of efficacy of Muslim teachers. The results of this survey still have research limitations, therefore researchers suggest further research on Muslim teacher efficacy by interviewing and completing individual demographic variables and social demographics.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the perceptions of kindergarten teachers and grade 1 elementary school teachers regarding the PAUD-SD transition period in terms of teacher pedagogical competence, and what are the effects of pedagogical competence on the enjoyment of the PAUD-SD transition period. This study uses a quantitative descriptive approach. The population used in this study were kindergarten teachers and grade 1 elementary school teachers at the driving school in Semarang City. The research sample was taken using a purposive sampling technique of 35 kindergarten teachers and 35 grade 1 elementary school teachers, data collection was carried out using a questionnaire. This study uses classical assumption tests such as normality tests, linearity tests, independent t-tests and simple correlation tests. The results of the independent t-test produced that there were differences in the perceptions of kindergarten teachers and elementary school teachers regarding the implementation of the PAUD-SD transition period. And these perceptions are the same regarding pedagogical competence as a predictor of the PAUD-SD transition period. In this study, it was found that pedagogical competence influenced the enjoyment of the PAUD-SD transition period. So the higher the pedagogical competence, the higher the PAUD to SD transition. Judicious use of keywords may increase the ease with which interested parties can locate our article.

Abstract

This study aims to clarify how habituation to TPQ extracurricular activities affects early childhood discipline formation in Hj. Isriati Baiturrahman 2 Kindergarten, Semarang. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection was done using observation, interview, and recording methods. The study subjects included TPQ teachers, homeroom teachers, and parents. The results of the study showed that daily TPQ activities could develop children’s personal and social discipline, such as punctuality, obedience to rules, patience, and responbility for belongings. Teachers and parents play an important role in cultivating these positive habits. Habituation has been proven to be an effective strategy in personality development in early childhood.   ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran pembiasaan kegiatan ekstrakulikuler TPQ terhadap pembentukan kedisiplinan pada anak usia dini di TK Hj. Isriati Baiturrahman 2 Semarang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian adalah Guru Taman Pendidikan Al-Quran, wali kelas, dan orang tua. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan TPQ sehari-hari membentuk sikap disiplin anak baik dalam aspek personal maupun sosial, seperti ketepatan waktu, ketaatan pada aturan, mengantri, dan mengelola barang milik sendiri. Guru dan orang tua memiliki peran penting dalam menumbuhkan kebiasaan positif tersebut. Pembiasaan terbukti menjadi strategi yang efektif dalam pendidikan kepribadian pada anak usia dini.

Abstract

Keberadaan Taman Kanak-Kanak Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal (TK ABA) yang tersebar luas di seluruh Indonesia merupakan salah satu kontribusi positif dalam memfasilitasi pendidikan anak usia dini. Aset tersebut mestinya bisa dibarengi dengan kualitas yang mumpuni, salah satunya dalam implementasi nilai-nilai AIK pada pembelajaran sebagai ciri khas dari TK ABA. Oleh karena itu peneliti tertarik untuk menganalisis sejauh mana implementasi nilai-nilai AIK di TK ABA wilayah kota Semarang. Pada penelitian kali ini, penulis menggunakan jenis penelitian studi evaluasi dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Dalam menjamin keabsahan data, peneliti menerapkan teknik triangulasi, khususnya triangulasi teknik. Adapun teknik analisis data pada penelitian kali ini menggunakan SWOT. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan posisi pada kuadran I, maksudnya memiliki kekuatan internal serta peluang eksternal yang signifikan. Keadaan ini dapat dimaksimalkan dengan mengurangi berbagai kelemahan serta mengantisipasi potensi ancaman yang mungkin muncul melalui upaya yang sistematis. Dengan cara memperkuat kualitas pembelajaran, memperluas jangkauan program, serta meningkatkan kapasitas pendidik dalam upaya penerapan AIK, da infrastruktur pendukung. Kemudian massifikasi penggunaan media visual yang terbukti mendukung proses pembelajaran dalam konsep keagamaan. Serta mengantisipasi dampak ketidakidealan rasio guru dan murid dengan metode kesepakatan kelas dan segitiga restitusi.AbstractThe existence of Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal Kindergarten (TK ABA), which is widely spread throughout Indonesia, is one of the positive contributions in facilitating early childhood education. This asset should be accompanied by qualified quality, one of which is in the implementation of AIK values in learning as a characteristic of ABA Kindergarten. Therefore, researchers are interested in analyzing the extent of the implementation of AIK values in ABA kindergartens in the Semarang city area. In this research, the author used an evaluation study research type with a qualitative approach. In ensuring the validity of the data, the researcher applied triangulation techniques, especially triangulation techniques. The data analysis technique in this research uses SWOT. Which shows the position in quadrant I, meaning that it has significant internal strengths and external opportunities. This situation can be maximized by reducing various weaknesses and anticipating potential threats that may arise through systematic efforts. By strengthening the quality of learning, expanding the reach of the program, and increasing the capacity of educators in efforts to implement AIK, and supporting infrastructure. Then massify the use of visual media which is proven to support the learning process in religious concepts. As well as anticipating the impact of the inequality of the ratio of teachers and students with the class agreement method and the restitution triangle.
