Abstract

One of the growing innovations is an e-book reader application equipped with a text-to-speech (TTS) feature. This research aims to design and develop an e-book reader application that can convert text into speech. The application is designed using the Agile software development method, which allows for iterations and continuous improvements based on user feedback. The main features of this application include the ability to adjust the speed and type of voice, as well as support for various e-book formats such as ePub, PDF, and TXT. The TTS implementation leverages available APIs, enabling high-quality and natural text-to-speech conversion. The evaluation of this application shows that users feel supported by the TTS feature, and the method used is quantitative. Testing results and feedback from early users indicate that this application not only improves accessibility but also provides a more flexible and comfortable reading experience. Therefore, this text-to-speech e-book reader application is expected to become an effective solution in supporting literacy and accessibility for all groups.

Abstract

The increasing threat of natural disasters in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, calls for technological solutions to predict and monitor disaster events more accurately. The development of the DisasterWatch application aims to provide a reliable disaster prediction tool, using machine learning and data mining-based predictive modeling methods. The app utilizes various machine learning algorithms to analyze historical disaster data as well as related risk factors, such as weather, seismic activity and soil conditions. Preliminary results show that this prediction system can improve the accuracy of early warnings, but further development is needed to ensure its accessibility and reliability for the community. In addition, to ensure its accessibility and reliability for the wider community, especially in disaster-prone areas. Collaboration with BMKG, and local communities is being sought to ensure this application can be practically implemented in the field

Abstract

This research focuses on developing an integrated payment system to improve the efficiency and transparency of financial transaction management. The system integrates a payment gateway that allows real-time validation of transactions and supports various payment methods such as bank transfers, digital wallets, and QRIS. The development of this system uses Waterfall methodology to provide flexibility in responding to changing user needs, and utilizes technologies such as the Laravel framework for web development and MySQL as a database, and Flutter for mobile applications used by members of the organization. The implementation of this system aims to overcome inefficiencies in the manual transaction process and reduce the potential for recording errors or misuse of funds. The development of this system follows a structured process, from needs analysis to system testing and evaluation. The results show that the integrated payment system successfully improves transaction management by automating payment validation and providing real-time reporting.
