Abstract

His study aims to determine and analyze the influence of curiosity on the religious character of Sunday School children in Ukui District. The background of the study shows that many children are still passive and show less curiosity about spiritual learning, which has an impact on the low understanding and application of religious values in everyday life. Method: This study uses a quantitative approach with an ex post facto type. The study population consisted of 105 Sunday School children, and a sample of 83 respondents was obtained using the Simple Random Sampling technique. The research instrument was a questionnaire that measured two variables, namely curiosity (X) and religious character (Y), which were compiled based on relevant theories and indicators, and tested for validity and reliability. Results: The analysis showed a positive and significant influence between curiosity on the religious character of Sunday School children. The contribution of this influence was 59.60% with a moderate interpretation, while 40.40% was influenced by other factors outside this study. Novelty: This study confirms that developing curiosity through interactive and exploratory learning in Sunday School can improve children's understanding of faith, devotion to worship, and character development. The results of this study can serve as a basis for church educators in designing learning strategies that foster curiosity as a means of developing children's religious character.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of self-efficacy on procrastination in thesis writing among students of the Community Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Riau. Self-efficacy is considered an important psychological factor that determines academic success, while procrastination is a common obstacle that hinders students’ progress. The study employed a quantitative survey design. The participants were final-year students of the Community Education Study Program, selected using purposive sampling. The instruments consisted of a self-efficacy scale based on Bandura’s theory and an academic procrastination scale developed by Ferrari. Data were analyzed using regression analysis to examine the effect of self-efficacy on procrastination. Preliminary findings indicate that most students tend to have moderate to low levels of self-efficacy, while their academic procrastination levels are relatively high. Statistical analysis revealed a significant negative relationship between self-efficacy and procrastination, suggesting that students with higher self-efficacy are less likely to procrastinate. This study contributes to the body of knowledge by contextualizing the relationship between self-efficacy and procrastination in Community Education students at Universitas Riau, an area that has not been widely explored. The findings are expected to serve as a basis for developing academic guidance strategies aimed at enhancing students’ self-efficacy and reducing academic procrastination.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to explore and describe the integrated community empowerment of the traditional performing arts randai sanggar talago rindang Jorong Piobang, Kanagarian Piobang, Payakumbuh District. This study uses a naturalistic method with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used include observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study show the integrated community empowerment of the traditional performing arts randai sanggar talago rindang, first seen from enabling (facilitating), that the infrastructure is sufficient. Second empowering (empowering) the promotion of this studio to the wider community and also collaborating with other partners. Third protecting (protecting cultural preservation) with village children from elementary school to high school to become a forum and foster Minangkabau cultural arts skills. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi dan menggambarkan pemberdayaan masyarakat terintegrasi seni pertunjukan tradisional randai sanggar talago rindang  Jorong Piobang, Kanagarian Piobang, Kecamatan Payakumbuh. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode naturalistik dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan meliputi observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan pemberdayaan masyarakat terintegrasi seni pertunjukan tradisional randai sanggar talago rindang  , pertama dilihat dari  enabling (memfasilitasi), bahwa sarana prasarana yang tercukupi. Kedua empowering (memberdayakan) promosi sanggar ini kemasyarakat luas dan juga berkerja sama dengan mitra lain. Ketiga protecting  (melindungi pelestarian budaya)  dengan anak nagari mulai dari sekolah dasar hingga sekolah menengah atas untuk menjadi wadah sekaligus membina keterampilan seni budaya minangkabau.

Abstract

Abstract:  This study aims to find out how the implementation of caregiving services for children at the Rumah Bahagia Pelita Kasih Orphanage in Payung Sekaki District, Pekanbaru. This research is a descriptive type of research using a qualitative approach. This research was conducted at the Rumah Bahagia Pelita Kasih Orphanage, Pekanbaru, where data collection was carried out using documentation, observation and interviews involving 3 (three) caregivers as core informants and 3 (three) foster children as supporting informants. Furthermore, to search and organize the data, data analysis techniques were used in the form of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study are that the interaction between caregivers and children is warm and caring, so that children feel comfortable and dare to tell stories. Activities carried out at the orphanage include learning activities, worship, and skills that are adjusted to the age and interests of children. The satisfaction of foster children is reflected in the pleasant atmosphere, cheerful faces, and their enthusiasm in participating in activities. These findings prove that caregivers have carried out their roles well in meeting the physical and emotional needs of foster children. Abstrak: Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk melihat Mengetahui bagaimana Pelaksanan Pelayanan Pengasuh Terhadap Anak di Panti Asuhan Rumah Bahagia Pelita Kasih Kec. Payung Sekaki, Pekanbaru. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Panti Asuhan Rumah Bahagia Pelita Kasih, Pekanbaru yang pengumpulan datanya dilakukan dengan menggunakan dokumentasi, observasi dan wawancara dengan melibatkan 3 (tiga) orang pengasuh sebagai informan inti dan 3 (tiga) orang anak asuh sebagai informan pendukung. Seterusnya untuk mencari dan menyusun data digunakan teknik analisis data berupa reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini yakni interaksi antara pengasuh dan anak berlangsung hangat dan penuh perhatian, sehingga anak merasa nyaman dan berani bercerita. Aktivitas yang dilakukan di panti mencakup kegiatan belajar, ibadah, dan keterampilan yang disesuaikan dengan usia serta minat anak. Kepuasan anak asuh tercermin dari suasana yang menyenangkan, wajah ceria, serta semangat mereka dalam mengikuti kegiatan. Temuan ini membuktikan bahwa pengasuh telah menjalankan perannya dengan baik dalam memenuhi kebutuhan fisik maupun emosional anak asuh.

Abstract

Abstract: The objective of this study was to examine the implementation of religious character education for children at the Maranatha Orphanage in Pekanbaru. This qualitative, naturalistic study employed documentation, observation, and interviews for data collection, involving five informants: three caregivers and two children. Data analysis was conducted using a data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the implementation of religious character education at the Maranatha Orphanage has been quite effective. The process includes a planning stage where teaching materials are sourced from the Bible, Christian spiritual books, and activity schedules are created in collaboration with church officials. In the organizing phase, caregivers perform their respective duties and functions. The implementation of several routine worship activities is actively followed by the children. The parenting methods used are the exemplary behavior of the caregivers and habituation. Supervision is carried out through direct monitoring with the assistance of CCTV, and evaluation is done by providing direct advice through personal approaches and giving impromptu quizzes. Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana pelaksanaan pendidikan karakter religius pada anak asuh di panti asuhan maranatha kota pekanbaru. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian naturalistik dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan dokumentasi, observasi, dan wawancara yang melibatkan 5 (lima) informan sebagai subjek penelitian yang terdiri dari 3 (tiga) pengasuh dan 2 (dua) anak asuh.  Dalam menyusun data menggunakan teknik analisis data berupa reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah  bahwa pelaksanaan pendidikan karakter religius pada anak asuh di panti asuhan maranatha kota pekanbaru telah berjalan cukup baik dimana proses pelaksanaannya mencangkup tahap perencanaan dimana bahan ajar diambil dari buku alkitab, buku-buku rohani kristen dan rundown kegiatan dibuat dengan bekerjasama dengan pengurus gereja. Pengorganisasian pengurus melaksanakan tugas dan fungsinya masing-masing. Pelaksanaan kegiatan ibadah rutin di panti berupa doa pagi dan malam, ibadah sekolah minggu, ibadah pemuda, ibadah kebaktian/family lingked, dan puasa jumat setengah hari. Metode pengasuhan yang digunakan adalah keteladanan pengasuh dan pembiasaan. Pengawasan dilakukan dengan pemantauan secara langsung dibantu CCTV dan evaluasi dilakukan dengan memberikan nasehat secara langsung melalui pendekatan personal dan memberikan kuis mendadak. Pengasuh menunjukkan komitmen yang tinggi terhadap pembinaan karakter religius terhadap anak-anak asuh.
