Abstract

Background: Kindergarten (TK) is the beginning in introducing a child with a social environment outside the family. Kindergarten-age children is going through a relatively rapid growth and is a group vulnerable to nutritional problems especially energy and protein deficiency. Nutrition got by children in everyday food consumption has a big role for the children. Food facility (School feeding) is expected to be able to meet the nutritional needs of children that consist of morning snack, lunch and afternoon snack. The aim of this study is to determine the differences of energy and protein intakes during the day of kindergarten students at school with school feeding and non-school feeding model in Blimbing, Sukoharjo, Central Java. Method: This was a quasi experimental research design. Numbers of the study subjects consist of 38 5-7 years old kindergarten students from schools with school feeding and non-school feeding. Research tools used is 24-hour recall form. Data analysis used independent t-test to determine differences in the energy and protein intakes. Results: The consumption average of energy during the day (7.30 am-03.30 pm) of the kindergarten children with school feeding and non-school feeding a model is 572,5 and 640,5 kcal. While the average consumption of protein during the day (7.30 am-03.30 pm) in kindergarten children with school feeding and non-school feeding a model was 20,3 and 19,3 gr. Conclusion: There was no difference of the energy and protein intakes during the day (p> 0.05) between the two types of the kindergarten children in school. Abstract

AbstractBackground: Anemia is still a nutritional problem in worldwide, especially in developing countries. Anemia is a medical condition which the number of red blood cells or hemoglobin less than 12 gram/100ml. Determination to know anemia can be performed by laboratory test for examine the levels of hemoglobin. The level of hemoglobin test is one of the routine blood tests are needed to diagnose a disease. Many methods are used for examine hemoglobin levels, including methods tallquist, sahli, kupersulfat and cyanmethemoglobine. There is more practical hemoglobin levels test tool which used Hb meter. Gold standard used for checking hemoglobin levels are cyanmethemoglobine method.Method: This research was a descriptive study which used laboratory test. The samples in this research were teenage girl class III in MAN Wonosari.Result: The sensitivity velues is based on the results was 45.45%, while the specificity values was 64.61%. False positive values was 35.58%, while the false negative velue was 54.54%.Conclusion: Sensitivity and specificity velues on this research this showed had result is not good Keyword: Hb meter, sensitivity, anemia, teenage girl, specificity

Abstract

AbstractBackground : Undernutrition was still a problem of public health in Indonesia. Prevalence of undernutrition in under five years old based weight for age is 17.9 %. Undernutrition in children usually happened acute and cronic deficiency of macronutrient and have effect micronutrient deficiency. Iron deficiency anemia is one of micronutrient deficiency that common problems in under five children. Prevalence of iron deficiency anemia is 27.5 %. This prevalence is very high.  This research wants to know about correlation z score weigh for age and iron intake with ferritin level in children 2-5 year old.Objective : Objective of this research was to know correlation about z score weight for age and iron intake with ferritin level in children 2-5 year old.Method : The research method used in this study was cross-sectional study. Z score weight for age was measured by using antropometry. Iron intake was measured by using 24-hour food recall method and ferritin level was maesured by using ellysa method. The data was analyzed by multiple linier regression. Result : Iron intake had contribution to ferritin level about 1.747 µg/L with p value 0.007. Z score weight for age had no contribution to ferritin level in children 2-5 year old with p value 0.972  Conclution : Iron intake had contribution of ferritin level and z score weight for age had no contribution with ferritin level.  Keyword : Zat Besi, feritin, undernutrition

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1). untuk mengetahui tingkat hubungan kecerdasan emosional dengan motivasi belajar (2) untuk mengetahui tingkat hubungan kecerdasan emosional dengan hasil belajar (3) untuk mengetahui tingkat hubungan motivasi belajar dengan hasil belajar. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dengan bentuk penelitiann studi korelasi bertujuan mengungkap bentuk hubungan timbal balik antara variabel yang diselidiki. hasil penelitian menunjukkan hubungan kecerdasan dengan motivasi dengan nilai koefisien korelasi antara Kecerdasan Emosional dengan Motivasi Belajar sebesar 0,631 dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 (nilai sig. < 0,05). Maka dapat dinyatakan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang Signifikan dan Kuat antara Kecerdasan Emosional dengan Motivasi Belajar. Kemudian nilai koefisien korelasi antara Kecerdasan Emosional dengan Hasil  Belajar sebesar 0,141 dan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,272 (nilai sig. > 0,05) maka dapat dinyatakan bahwa hubungan Kecerdasan Emosional dengan Hasil  Belajar tidak signifikan dan berada pada katagori sangat rendah. Kata Kunci: Kecerdasan Emosional, Motivasi belajar, dan Hasil Belajar   The purpose of this research is to (1) know the relationship of emosional intellegence with motivation of study (2) know the relationship of emosional intellegence with the results of studies on economic (3) ) know the relationship of motivation of stusy with the results of studies on economic. In this study is correlation studies research. The main purpose of correlations studies is find out the correlation of the interlationship between the variable was researched. The result showed has the relationship between intellegence with motivations of study which is the range of correlation coefficient is 0,631 to the significant 0,000 (<0,05). It can be stated has the significant relation to emotional intellegence and motivation of study. Then, the correlation coefficient between emotional intellegence and the results of studies is 0,141 and the value of significant 0,272 (>0,05)it means that the emotional intellegence with the results of studies is not significant and were categorized low.   Key word: Emotional Intellegence, Motivation study, and results of studies.

Abstract

Supplementary food distribution for pregnant women still depends on the local policy. This program is funded using Health Operational Funds and distributed in form of milk, eggs, raw materials such as green beans and others. The field constraints of this program were acceptability and willingness of pregnant women to process the raw materials. This study aims to address the problems of providing supplementary food for pregnant women who suffer from chronic energy malnutrition and anemia by making the formulation of high protein biscuits and Fe using soybean flour substitution catfish eggs and flour as a source of protein and Fe.  Biscuits produced is expected to be one of the snacks and nutritions for women who suffer from chronic energy deficeincy. The ingredients were flour, fish powder, soy flour, eggs,  milk powder, sugar, and maize flour. The method used was pure experimental approach completely randomized design with three times repetition. The formulation of the biscuits proportion between fish and soy flour as much as 2:1, 1:1, and 1:2. Proximate test shows that the proportion of fish and soy flour 1:2 has the highest energy value (496.81 kcal) with a value of 17.74% protein. Organoleptic test indicates that the most favorable taste and tekstur was the formulation with the proportion of fish flour and soy flour 1:2. The formulation of high protein and Fe biscuits for women with chronic energy malnutrition and anemia in Boyolali favoured by third trisemester pregnant women is the one with the proportion of 1:2.

Abstract

Soybean tempeh and gembus tempeh are traditional foods that have long been known in Indonesia, which in a modern way are classified as functional food. Various studies related to the antioxidant activity of soybean and gembus tempeh has been reported. This study aimed to compare the antioxidant capacity of soybean tempeh and gembus tempeh that are circulating in the community. The results of the research are expected to be an evaluation of soybean tempeh and gembus tempeh quality available in the market. The results of this research are expected to be an evaluation of soybean tempeh and gembus tempeh quality available in the market. The research design was a cross-sectional experimental study to measure antioxidants activity of 31 soybeans tempeh and 29 gembus tempeh. Sample of this study was selected through simple random sampling technique. The measurement of antioxidant activity carried out was the 2.2-diphenyl 1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) method; ethanol extraction of 95%. Results revealed that the antioxidant activity of gembus tempeh was significantly higher than soybean tempeh; (32.521; 19.831) vs., (17.016; 13.195), respectively.

Abstract

Buruh gendong atau endong-endong merupakan sebutan bagi wanita yang menjual jasa angkat barang dengan cara menggendong. Kelompok ini merupakan salah satu kelompok yang rentan terhadap anemia defisiensi besi. Penghasilan yang rendah dan tingkat pendidikan yang rendah merupakan faktor risiko anemia defisiensi besi di masyarakat.  Buruh gendong lansia biasanya mempunyai susunan gigi yang tidak sempurna sehingga mereka akan kesulitan mengkonsumsi jenis zat besi hem yang umumnya berasal dari daging. Kondisi inilah yang sering menyebabkan lansia berisiko terkena anemia defisiensi besi. Dampak anemia pada lansia diantaranya penurunan tingkat intelektual, produktivitas kerja dan tingkat morbiditas. Pada penelitian ini peneliti bermaksud meneliti hubungan antara status anemia dengan tingkat morbiditas wanita lansia buruh gendong di Pasar tradisional kota Yogyakarta baik yang berada di Giwangan maupun Bringharjo.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui deskripsi kejadian anemia dan  hubungannya  status anemia terhadap tingkat morbiditas wanita lansia buruh gendong. Studi kasus  di Pasar Pasar Tradisional Yogyakarta baik  Giwangan maupun Bringharjo.Metode yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini adalah Cross Sectional, yaitu dengan mengukur variabel status anemia dan tingkat morbiditas secara bersamaan. Berdasarkan uji chi square didapatkan hasil tidak ada hubungan antara status anemia dengan tingkat morbiditas wanita lansia buruh gendong dengan nilai p value 1,00.Tidak ada hubungan antara status anemia dengan tingkat morbiditas lansia buruh gendong di pasar tradional Yogyakarta.  Kata Kunci : anemia, buruh gendong, morbiditas

Abstract

Nutritional fulfillment is one of the essential factors to prevent the Covid-19 disease. The term balanced nutrition consists of several points: balanced consumption of staple food, the source of protein, fruit, and vegetables, and also drinking an adequate amount of water. Several specific nutrients are also involved in strengthening the immune system, such as vitamin A, C, E, B6, folic acid, zinc, selenium, and iron. The balanced diet practices are affected by nutrition knowledge and further underlined the importance of an educational approach to knowledge improvement of its principles to prevent Covid-19 disease. The intervention conducted through an online meeting platform with a pre-post test was applied to measure the level of knowledge. There were 92 participants in this international event, with the knowledge score improvement was 25% higher than the pre-test mean score. The highest rose was in the vegetables daily intake recommendation and the highest vitamin C source. In conclusion, sustainable educational intervention is important to improve the community’s knowledge about a balanced diet that plays a role in Covid-19 disease prevention.

Abstract

Introduction: The COVID-19 pandemic has become an issue that has been in the world's spotlight in the last 2 years. The high mortality and morbidity rates have caused the world to work hand in hand to control the spread of COVID-19. This webinar is expected to increase knowledge in the community so that later it can help the Government and Health Workers in efforts to control the spread of COVID-19. Methods: This webinar was held in 1 day with 2 resource persons who are experts in their fields. This webinar uses the Zoom Webinar facility from the UAD Faculty of Public Health. The target of this webinar was the general public, both students and non-students. In the webinar session, there were pretest and posttest which are distributed online using a Google Form questionnaire. The analysis used a descriptive analysis of the characteristics of webinar participants. Results: There were 50 participants in this webinar with different job characteristics and educational backgrounds. More than half of the total participants already had knowledge of COVID-19 vaccination and mostly participants had increased knowledge seen from the posttest results. The result of post test are 84.6%, 48.7%, 100%, 100%, 100%, 87%, 84%, 87%, 87% in the first until nine questions. Conclusion: Webinar by zoom could increase knowledge about COVID-19 vaccination. This webinar still uses a small participant, and should be increased to a larger by promoting similar webinars in advance or with more platforms.

Abstract

Pandemi covid 19 masih menjadi permasalahan kesehatan di dunia. Case fatality rate tergolong tinggi terutama pada orang dengan komorbid. Beberapa komorbid covid 19 yaitu obesitas, diabetes mellitus, asma,jantung dan lainnya.Tujuan pengabdian ini untuk melakukan diagnosa komunitas terhadap penyakit yang ada di masyarakat khususnya di RT 28 kelurahan Purwaharja Kota Banjar. Metode yang dipakai dengan membagikan kuesioner kepada masyarakat RT 28 kelurahan Purwaharja, kemudian menganalis dengan menggunakan metode USG untuk melihat prioritas masalah kesehatan. Selanjutnya memberikan intervensi berupa edukasi secara on line. Hasil diagnosa komunitas menunjukkan penyakit diabetes mellitus merupakan peringkat pertama dari 6 permasalahan kesehatan yang ada di RT tersebut.Tindakan edukasi  dilakukan secara on line   untuk memberikan pengetahuan kepada masyarakat tentang pentingnya pencegahan diabetes mellitus dan cara pengendalian glukossa darah bagi penderita diabetes mellitus. Kata Kunci: Community diagnosis, Diabetes mellitus, Covid 19Abstract: The Covid-19 Pandemic is still a global outbreak. The case fatality rate is high, especially forpeople with comorbidities. Some of the comorbidities of Covid-19 are obesity, diabetes mellitus,asthma, heart disease, and others.The purpose of this submission is to carry out community diagnosis of diseases that exist in thecommunity, especially in RT 28 Purwaharja, Banjar.The method used is by distributing questionnaires to the community of RT 28 Purwaharja, thenanalyzing using an USG method to see the priority of health problems. Furthermore, providingintervention in the form of online education.The results of community diagnosis show that diabetes mellitus is the first rank of 6 healthproblems in the RT. Educational actions are carried out online to provide knowledge to thepublic about the importance of preventing diabetes mellitus and how to control blood glucose forpeople with diabetes mellitus.Keywords: Community diagnosis, Diabetes mellitus, Covid 19
