Abstract

The development of digital technology has brought significant changes to the education system, including Islamic education. The main challenge faced by Islamic educational institutions today is how to manage the curriculum effectively so that it remains based on Islamic spiritual values while also being responsive to technological innovations. This article aims to examine the concept of Islamic education curriculum management and analyze the importance of synergy between spiritual values and technological innovation in curriculum development. The writing method uses library research by analyzing various literature such as books, scientific journals, and relevant educational regulations. The study results show that effective management of the Islamic education curriculum should include planning, implementation, and evaluation of the curriculum integrated with Islamic values and the wise use of technology. The synergy between spiritual values and technological innovation can enhance the quality of learning, strengthen students' character, and maintain Islamic identity amidst the currents of globalization and the digitalization of education

Abstract

This study aims to analyse digital public relations management practices in strengthening the image of private schools in Cilacap Regency. The research uses a qualitative approach with a multi-site case study design in three schools, namely Raden Fatah Cimanggu Senior High School, Darussalam Karangpucung Vocational School, and Jenderal Ahmad Yani Karangpucung Senior High School. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews with 12 key informants, participatory observation for two months of digital public relations activities, and content analysis of 150 social media posts. The results showed that the implementation of a multi-platform digital public relations strategy was able to increase the effectiveness of school communication, as indicated by an average engagement rate of 30%, a reach of 6,167 users per week, a positive sentiment of 79%, and a reduction in crisis response time from 36–48 hours to 7–12 hours through the use of the school's official Instagram account. These findings confirm the effectiveness of digital public relations strategies that are in line with the theory of symmetrical two-way communication, and emphasise the importance of strengthening staff digital literacy and developing content based on local values in school public relations management.

Abstract

Islamic educational supervision is a crucial instrument for improving the quality of learning in Islamic institutions, emphasizing the integration of spiritual, moral, and academic aspects. This study analyzes the concept, implementation, and effectiveness of supervision in developing teacher competence and learning management quality using a qualitative, literature-based approach. The review includes the works of Mulyasa, Al-Nahlawi, and al-Abrasy, as well as empirical studies by Zepeda, Glickman, Kim, and Cho. The findings indicate that Islamic educational supervision has unique dimensions such as spiritual development, moral exemplarity, and the reinforcement of tarbiyah values, which are less prominent in conventional models. Systematic academic supervision enhances lesson planning, pedagogical skills, and teacher professionalism. The study proposes a holistic supervision model that integrates Sharia principles, humanistic approaches, and modern techniques, strengthening Islamic institutions through reflective evaluation, consultation, and spiritual guidance, positioning supervision as a process of empowering teachers toward professionalism and moral integrity.

Abstract

This article aims to develop a conceptual framework for the hybridization between scientific concepts and artistic expression in IPAS learning at the elementary school level, as well as to examine its pedagogical implications. Using a conceptual review approach, this study synthesizes literature related to scientific representation, multimodal learning, art as a learning medium, and integrated approaches in primary education. The synthesis indicates that science–art hybridization enriches IPAS learning through four key dimensions: representation, experience, thinking processes, and expression. Art supports the transformation of abstract scientific concepts into concrete and multimodal forms, strengthens students’ emotional engagement, and integrates both analytical and divergent thinking processes. These findings carry important implications for IPAS instructional practices, particularly in strengthening multiple representations, enhancing learning engagement, fostering creativity, and creating inclusive learning environments aligned with the Merdeka Curriculum. This review also opens avenues for future research to empirically examine the effectiveness of the hybridization model in classroom settings,

Abstract

Pendidikan dasar di Indonesia menghadapi tantangan serius dalam pembentukan karakter siswa akibat derasnya arus globalisasi, penetrasi media digital, serta melemahnya kontrol keluarga. Kondisi ini menimbulkan problem berupa degradasi moral, rendahnya disiplin, dan berkurangnya kesadaran spiritual pada anak usia sekolah. Sekolah Islam, khususnya SD Muhammadiyah, hadir sebagai solusi dengan mengintegrasikan kurikulum Al-Islam untuk memperkuat nilai religius dan sosial siswa. Namun, gap penelitian masih terlihat: sebagian besar kajian terdahulu lebih menekankan aspek kognitif keagamaan dan praktik ibadah formal, sementara integrasi kurikulum Al-Islam dengan pembentukan karakter Islami secara holistik belum banyak dikaji. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan implementasi kurikulum Al-Islam di SD Muhammadiyah Bumiayu, menganalisis metode pembelajaran yang digunakan guru, serta mengevaluasi dampaknya terhadap pembentukan karakter religius, disiplin, dan empati sosial siswa. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Data diperoleh melalui observasi kegiatan pembelajaran, wawancara mendalam dengan guru dan siswa, serta dokumentasi kurikulum dan aktivitas keagamaan sekolah. Analisis data dilakukan dengan teknik reduksi, display, dan verifikasi, serta validasi melalui triangulasi sumber. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kurikulum Al-Islam di SD Muhammadiyah Bumiayu diimplementasikan melalui kajian rutin, pembiasaan ibadah berjamaah, dan keteladanan guru. Strategi ini terbukti efektif dalam menumbuhkan karakter Islami siswa, meliputi religiusitas, kedisiplinan, tanggung jawab, dan empati sosial. Kesimpulannya, kurikulum Al-Islam berperan signifikan sebagai instrumen pendidikan karakter yang relevan dengan kebutuhan anak di era modern, sekaligus memperkuat identitas sekolah Muhammadiyah sebagai lembaga pendidikan berbasis nilai Islam berkemajuan.

Abstract

The quality of national education in Indonesia continues to face serious challenges, consistently reflected in low scores on international-scale assessments. This concerning condition is significantly influenced by the quality of teacher competence as the primary facilitator in the educational process. Therefore, this study aims to conduct an in-depth and comprehensive analysis of the strategic contribution of academic supervision towards efforts to improve learning quality and teacher professionalism in an integrative manner. Methodologically, this study applies a qualitative descriptive approach through a literature study method (synthesis) of various reputable scientific sources, including journals and research reports published in the last decade to ensure data relevance. Data analysis results indicate that the implementation of academic supervision carried out structurally, especially those adopting collaborative and non-directive approaches, is proven capable of significantly improving teacher performance. This improvement is clearly visible in the enhancement of instructional planning quality, classroom learning implementation becoming more interactive, and evaluation systems, where literature data indicates an average performance indicator increase of up to 15-20% post-supervision intervention. Furthermore, academic supervision is proven effective in building a culture of self-reflection that strengthens the four basic teacher competencies: pedagogical, professional, personality, and social. In conclusion, academic supervision must immediately transform from a mere routine of administrative compliance into a sustainable core school program to guarantee national education quality and the formation of professional teacher identity.
