Abstract

Quality is the most important thing in business to get more consumers. Quality will be better if those kinds of processes produced with good constancy. Research was held in Coca Cola Bottling Company Indonesia, problems which were emerging are the sweet disposal (ºBrix) from the product is unstable. Control Chart Method is used to get the condition of production process which is moving, than improvement will be done through Taguchi Method approach. Improvement start from election of factors which influence for those quality’s characteristic as well as level value, and than will be basic for the Orthogonal Array election. Result of analysis is processed through noise signal to ratio (SNR) and Analysis of Variance. Based on research, it was got result that is the best setting level for control factor which is influenced to stability sweet disposal value (ºBrix) are first setting of sweetness disposal simple syrup is 59 ºBrix, addition of concentrate is 1.25 units, and water disposal is 80 %. Abstract

Effective measurement with Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) method and concept of Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) is hoped able to in crease production volume and quality. OEE method is based on three factors, they are: availability, performance and quality. OEE value is got by multiplying the three factors. FMEA concept is carried out to decide the critical rating, evidence, and defection rating. RPN calculation is the result of those three rating multiplication shows the risk level of a failure. FTA concept is carried out by using OR gate to know the probability of failure evidence. The analysis that is got show OEE value of Paper Machine in two year: first year 60%, in crease to 83% in the second year. Cutter Asahi’s OEE value, in the first year, is 67%, in the second year become 73%. The first cause of low OEE is PLN drop power energy. The FMEA result identification is got highest RPN value that is 245 at Paper Machine process, with failure mode dirty, the main cause is dirt that dissolved in its production process and the screen that does not work maximally. To handle that cause needs a routine checking and cleaning in the process and screen by Paper Machine operator. Identification result of FTA indicates that highest failure probability on Paper Machine part is 0.01145.

Abstract

Bond Energy Algorithm (BEA) is a method that used in this group technology. This method is used for analyzing and for group is machine-part into manufacture cell. Euclidean distance is used for measuring material handling distance. BEA method becomes a model on stating the expense. The choice is done with performance measure calculation. Based or grouping result using Bond Energy Algoritm method produce five manufacture cell, they are cell 1 from machine 1 and part 14-12, cell 2 from machine 2-3-8-9 and part 4-11-13, cell 3 from machine 4 and part 10-1, and cell 4 from machine 5 and part 6-2. Cell 5 machine 7-6 and part 5-3-9-7-8. The result of material handling distance measurement is 220.97 meters with material handling cost Rp 12,245,832.57 per month. Based on the result of group technology lay out produce or yield material handling cost that can be used as new alternative on designing lay out.
