Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of teacher performance management in vocational high schools in producing superior graduates. The problem raised is the low ability of students to compete in the world of work, which indicates the need for better management strategies. The urgency of this study lies in the importance of understanding the factors that influence teacher performance and the strategic position of schools in improving student competitiveness. The purpose of the study was to examine indicators of positional advantage and their impact on institutional performance in vocational high schools. The research method used was a survey with a sample of 457 vocational high school teachers in West Java Province. Data collection techniques were carried out through questionnaires designed based on relevant indicators, using a Likert scale to measure key variables such as teacher performance and industry support. Data analysis was carried out using Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to evaluate the relationship between variables. The results showed that positional advantage had a significant effect on institutional performance, with factors such as industry support and education management contributing positively. This finding confirms the importance of developing an integrated management strategy to improve teacher performance. The conclusion of this study is that strengthening the strategic position of schools can improve student competitiveness. The implications of this study provide insight for education managers and stakeholders in formulating policies that support improving the quality of education in Vocational High Schools, so that graduates can be better prepared to face challenges in the world of work.

Abstract

Penelitian ini didasarkan atas permasalahan capaian hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas I SD 3 Peganjaran yang masih di bawah harapan. Hasil belajar yang diharapkan belum mencapai presentase ketuntasan klasikal, yaitu 75%. Penelitian ini mempunyai tujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran Think-Pair-Share (TPS). Metode yang diterapkan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) berdasarkan model Kurt Lewin, yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus mencakup tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek yang dijadikan fokus penelitian ini adalah 16 siswa kelas I SD 3 Peganjaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan pada hasil belajar siswa, dengan ketuntasan mengalami peningkatan dari 31,25% pada pra-siklus, 50% pada siklus pertama, dan 81,25% pada siklus II. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh selama penelitian ini maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model Think Pair Share dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa di SD 3 Peganjaran, sehingga direkomendasikan sebagai strategi pembelajaran inovatif.

Abstract

Stunting merupakan permasalahan gizi kronis yang berdampak jangka panjang terhadap kualitas kesehatan dan perkembangan anak. Rendahnya pengetahuan ibu mengenai gizi seimbang dan pemanfaatan pangan lokal menjadi salah satu faktor penyebab tingginya angka stunting. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberdayakan ibu melalui edukasi gizi dan pelatihan keterampilan memasak berbasis pangan lokal sebagai upaya pencegahan stunting. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada tanggal 25 Desember 2023 di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Bone Rombo, Kecamatan Kulisusu, Kabupaten Buton Utara, dengan melibatkan 41 peserta yang terdiri atas ibu balita, ibu hamil, serta mitra kesehatan. Metode pelatihan dilakukan secara partisipatif menggunakan media leaflet dan presentasi visual, dilengkapi dengan sesi diskusi dan evaluasi pemahaman. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa peserta sangat antusias dan aktif, serta sekitar 80% mampu menjawab pertanyaan evaluatif dengan benar dan mengulang kembali tips penting tentang peningkatan kualitas makanan bagi ibu dan anak. Kegiatan ini membuktikan bahwa pendekatan edukatif berbasis partisipasi dan potensi lokal dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan gizi ibu dan mendukung upaya penanggulangan stunting secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Factors influencing lecturers' job satisfaction in higher education, focusing on teaching practices and improving students' numeracy skills, have declined. The urgency of this research is critical, considering the challenges lecturers face in the 21st-century education era. This study aims to explore the relationship between self-efficacy, collaboration, stress, and lecturer job satisfaction. The method used in this study is a quantitative survey type with a population of active lecturers and students in Bengkulu, Indonesia, consisting of 980 respondents, including 160 lecturers and 820 students. Data was collected through a questionnaire designed to measure various variables related to teaching practices. Data analysis techniques include structural equation modeling analysis to identify relationships between variables. The study results indicate that self-efficacy and collaboration have a positive relationship with lecturer job satisfaction, while stress negatively impacts job satisfaction. The conclusion of this study emphasizes the need to create a collaborative work environment to support lecturer well-being, which will improve the quality of teaching and student learning experiences. Implications of this research include collaboration and support for lecturers to improve job satisfaction in higher education. The research implies that increasing lecturer job satisfaction contributes significantly to the quality of academic services and teaching effectiveness, especially in strengthening students' numeracy skills.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of implementing the Mahkota Jaringan Makanan (Food Web Crown) visual-based media in enhancing students' understanding of science, particularly the concept of food webs. The study employs a descriptive qualitative approach. The subjects are 29 seventh-grade students from SMPN 25, selected through purposive sampling. Research instruments include conceptual understanding tests, observation sheets, interviews, and questionnaires to measure changes in students' comprehension and engagement during the learning process. The results indicate a significant improvement in the students' average scores after applying the media, with an average learning outcome increase of 41.5%. Additionally, the media fostered active student participation during the learning activities, making them more enthusiastic and capable of collaborating with their classmates. The image-based Mahkota provided strong visual support, helping students understand the relationships between food web components more concretely and interactively. The use of this media also helped reduce misconceptions about the roles of producers, consumers, and decomposers in ecosystems. Thus, this media can be an innovative and enjoyable alternative teaching method, which can be integrated into the science curriculum to enhance learning quality.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan pengembangan siswa SMA dalam era digital yang semakin kompleks ini serta untuk memahami keterampilan penunjang yang harus dimiliki siswa sebagai persiapan diri di masa mendatang terutama dalam 3 aspek: penguasaan media, teknologi dan kemampuan bahasa sebagai keterampilan penunjang bagi pelajar SMKN 3 Bengkulu Utara. Dalam era digital, penggunaan media, teknologi dan bahasa merupakan penunjang bagi pelajar dalam mempersiapkan diri di masa depan agar dapat bersaing dan mampu mengejar ketertinggalan informasi dan keterampilan dengan adanya penunjang yang memadai. Selain itu, kemudahan dan kecanggihan teknologi, juga menimbulkan berbagai dampak negatif yang perlu diperhatikan seperti penyalahgunaan media sosial yang dapat berdampak negatif pada kesehatan mental, seperti peningkatan tingkat stres, kecemasan, dan depresi.  Kegiatan pengabdian ini memberikan manfa’at bagi pelajar terutama sebagai pengetahuan dasar bagi remaja dalam mencegah penyalahgunaan sosial media, pelajar memperoleh tips dan trik untuk mengelola sosial media menjadi media pengetahuan dan hal yang positif untuk menunjang keterampilan diri, pelajar dapat menggunakan media sebagai sarana pembelajaran, terutama media berbentuk video, podcast, artikel daring ataupun platfirm e-learning, pelajar dapat mengetahui manfa’at penggunaan teknologi dan kemampuan bahasa yang baik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan pengaruh model pembelajaran Teams Tournament Games (TGT) dalam pembelajaran teks deskripsi untuk meningkatkan social awareness siswa kelas IX-A SMPN 12 Surabaya. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah 35 siswa kelas IX-A SMPN 12 Surabaya. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik angket dan catatan lapangan. Analisis data menggunakan Skala Likert dan deksriptif yang mengacu pada peningkatan hasil belajar siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa TGT dapat meningkatkan social awareness siswa dengan peningkatan hasil belajar. Diperoleh presentase prasiklus dalam angket social awareness sebesar 50,38 kemudian meningkat 25,83% menjadi 76,21%, sedangkan pada siklus II juga lebih meningkat menjadi 81,5%. Di samping itu, terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar mulai prasiklus hingga siklus II. Rata-rata siswa pada prasiklus adalah 41,85 dengan tidak adanya siswa yang tuntas, rata-rata siklus I adalah 60,71 dengan 10 siswa yang tuntas, sedangkan rata-rata siklus II adalah 85,71 dengan total 21 siswa yang tuntas. Abstract

Background: Innovation in physical education (PE) plays a key role in enhancing students’ cognitive, affective, and psychomotor development. However, there is limited comprehensive mapping that captures global research trends, influential contributors, and thematic evolution related to learning innovation in PE over the past decade. Objectives: The objective of this study is to analyse publication trends, leading sources, influential authors and affiliations, collaboration networks, and thematic keyword patterns in global research on learning innovation in physical education from 2013–2022. Methods: A bibliometric analysis was conducted using Scopus-indexed journal articles (n = 867). Data were processed through VOSviewer (v1.6.19) and Publish or Perish to examine publication growth, prolific authors, affiliations, countries, journals, and keyword co-occurrence networks. Finding/Results: Publications showed a steady increase, peaking in 2022 (179 documents). Physical Education and Sport Pedagogy emerged as the most productive journal, while Universidad de Oviedo and China were the leading institutional and national contributors. Keyword clustering revealed five dominant themes: models-based practice, learning motivation, health-oriented PE, teacher professional development, and curriculum design. Conclusion: This study maps the global landscape of learning innovation in PE and highlights the growing shift toward learner-centred, theory-driven, and technology-enhanced pedagogical models. Future research should expand cross-regional collaboration, integrate multi-database analyses, and explore thematic evolution to capture dynamic shifts in PE innovation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas terkait  pemahaman generasi muda terhadap budaya lokal dan lingkungan, khususnya di kawasan Situs Megalitik Vatunonju yang memiliki nilai sejarah dan ekologis penting. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat literasi budaya dan literasi lingkungan siswa terhadap kawasan Situs Vatunonju serta menganalisis kemampuan analisis siswa kelas XI di SMA Negeri 1 Sigi mengenai keterkaitan budaya dan lingkungan Situs Vatunonju. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan Kuantitatif dengan desain survei. Data diperoleh melalui kuesioner, observasi, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa literasi budaya siswa berada pada kategori baik pada aspek pengetahuan, sikap, dan keterampilan budaya. Literasi lingkungan juga berada pada kategori baik pada aspek pengetahuan ekologi, kesadaran lingkungan, pemahaman konsekuensi tindakan manusia, perilaku bertanggung jawab, dan partisipasi kebijakan lingkungan. Namun, kemampuan analisis siswa terhadap hubungan budaya dan lingkungan masih berada pada kategori cukup karena siswa belum mampu mengolah informasi secara mendalam dan merumuskan solusi komprehensif. Secara umum, pembelajaran berbasis konteks dan pengalaman langsung diperlukan untuk meningkatkan kualitas analisis serta memperkuat literasi budaya dan lingkungan siswa.

Abstract

In the context of education in Indonesia, the quality of learning is largely determined by the effectiveness of instructional leadership implemented by school leaders, especially principals. Instructional leadership plays an important role in guiding teachers to improve the quality of teaching, learning planning, and student learning outcomes. Unfortunately, many teachers in Indonesia still face challenges in terms of academic supervision, development of pedagogical competence, and lack of collaborative culture supported by strong leadership management. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct an in-depth study on how the instructional leadership model can be managed strategically in the context of Indonesian education. This study aims to analyze the role and strategies of instructional leadership management in supporting teacher performance in Indonesia. Specifically, this study explores best practices, implementation barriers, and the contribution of instructional leadership to teacher professional development and improving the quality of learning. The method used is qualitative research based on literature review, by reviewing various scientific articles, education policy reports, and relevant academic publications from the last 5 years. The analysis was conducted thematically to identify patterns, approaches, and strategic implications of instructional leadership practices in Indonesian schools. The results of the study show that the success of instructional leadership is greatly influenced by the principal's ability to build a learning vision, provide professional support to teachers, and create a conducive school climate. In addition, teacher involvement in decision-making and ongoing training has been shown to increase learning effectiveness. Instructional leadership is an important pillar in education management in Indonesia. Strengthening the principal's managerial function, collaboration of teaching teams, and support for education policies are essential to ensure that instructional leadership can contribute to improving teacher quality and student learning outcomes sustainably.
