Abstract

The principle of the guided inquiry learning process interaction emphasizes the interaction between students and teachers,  and between students and the environment. Learning as an interaction process means placing the teacher not as a source of learning, but as a regulator of the environment or regulator of the interaction itself, the teacher as the questioner. The purpose of this study was to determine how the effect of the guided inquiry model on improving student con- sition. This research was conducted in the even semester of the 2017/2018 academic year using the pre-experimental design method through one group pretest-posttest design. This research was carried out in three stages, namely: giving a pre-test questionnaire to obtain the average score of student co-technician competencies, implementing the guided inquiry learning model, and giving the final test (posttest) after learning. The subjects of this study were fourth grade students consisting of 14 male students and 13 female students. The data collection techniques used were observation and tests. Observations were made to observe student activities, while the test consisted of preliminary and final tests used to measure learning success. The assessment instrument consists of an observation sheet filled out by the observer and the test questions consisting of 10 questions. Furthermore, student learning outcomes are processed using the Gain formula (g). Based on the research results obtained, 11 students obtained a Gain value of 0.75 in the high category, and 16 students obtained a Gain value of 0.60 in the moderate category. The overall average value of learning outcomes is 0.65 in the medium category. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the guided inquiry model can affect science student coqinitive.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the Improvement of the Learning Independence of Class V Students of SD Negeri Kandang in Natural Science Learning on ecosystem materials through the Application of Active Learning. The sample in this study were all students in grade V SD Negeri Kandang, totalling 16 people consisting of 11 girls and 5 boys. The method used in this study was to calculate the percentage of the answers to the questionnaire. Data collection techniques consisted of observation, test, questionnaire. The results showed that the learning independence of Class V SD Negeri Kandang students in science subjects could be increased through the application of Active Learning learning strategies, this can be seen based on the evaluation results from meetings I and II that there was a change in the average value obtained. The pre-test is 68.1 and the post-test is 80.9. So the application of Active Learning in science learning can increase the learning independence of class V SD Negeri Kandang students. Abstrak Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui Peningkatan Kemandirian Belajar Peserta Didik Kelas V SD Negeri Kandang dalam Pembelajaran IPA materi ekosistem melalui Penerapan Pembelajaran Active Learning. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas V SD Negeri Kandang yang berjumlah 16 orang yang terdiri dari 11 perempuan dan 5 orang laki laki. Teknik pengumpulan data terdiri dari observasi, angket dan test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kemandirian belajar peserta didik Kelas V SD Negeri Kandang pada mata pelajaran IPA dapat meningkat melalui penerapan strategi pembelajaran Active Learning, hal ini dapat diketahui berdasarkan hasil evaluasi dari pertemuan I dan II bahwa adanya perubahan nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh. Pada test awal (Pre-test) yaitu 68,1 dan pada test akhir (post-test) yaitu 80,9. Maka Penerapan Active Learning pada pembelajaran IPA dapat meningkatkan kemandirian belajar peserta didik kelas V SD Negeri Kandang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh implementasi pembelajaran menggunakan geoboard melalui pendekatan open-ended (POE) terhadap perolehan dan peningkatan kemampuan eksplorasi matematis (KEM) ditinjau berdasarkan gender. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode berjenis kuantitatif yang terdiri dari penelitian deskriptif dan kuasi eksperimen dengan desain faktorial 2  2. Populasinya adalah skor kemampuan eksplorasi matematis dari seluruh siswa kelas IV di suatu SD yang berlokasi di Kabupaten Pandeglang. Dengan sampelnya yang terdiri dari 2 kelas yang diambil dari populasi tersebut yaitu satu kelas sebagai kelas eksperimen yang terdiri dari 31 siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran menggunakan media geoboard melalui pendekatan open-ended (POE) dan satu kelas lainnya sebagai kelas kontrol yang terdiri dari 31 siswa memperoleh pembelajaran langsung. Dari penelitian ini diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa: (i) implementasi pembelajaran menggunakan media geoboard dengan pendekatan open-ended berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap perolehan dan peningkatan kemampuan eksplorasi matematis siswa. (ii) implementasi pembelajaran menggunakan media geoboard melalui pendekatan open-ended lebih tinggi pengaruhnya terhadap perolehan dan peningkatan kemampuan eksplorasi matematis siswa dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran langsung. (iii) perbedaan gender tidak berpengaruh terhadap perolehan dan peningkatan kemampuan eksplorasi matematis.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model discovery learning terhadap keterampilan proses sains (KPS), sikap sosial, dan respon peserta didik pada materi laju reaksi. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode pre-experimental design melalui one group pretest-posttest design yang dilaksanakan di MAS Ulumul Qur’an Banda Aceh sejak tanggal 16 Oktober – 1 Desember 2014. Sampel yang terpilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling yaitu kelas XI IPA sebagai kelas eksperimen. Analisa data pretest dan posttest dilakukan untuk mengetahui KPS, lembar observasi untuk mengetahui sikap sosial peserta didik, dan angket untuk mengetahui respon peserta didik terhadap model pembelajaran discovery learning. Hasil gain nilai pretest dan posttest  sebesar 62,24 (kategori sedang ). Sedangkan, hasil uji normalitas dan homogenitas menunjukkan bahwa data pretest dan posttest berdistribusi normal dan tidak homogen. Selanjutnya hasil uji statistik (t’) menunjukkan bahwa thitung t(0,05,52) (14,81 1,66) yang berarti implementasi model discovery learning dapat meningkatkan KPS peserta didik secara signifikan. Nilai sikap sosial peserta didik mengalami peningkatan dari 67,22 pada pertemuan pertama menjadi 92,22 pada pertemuan kelima. Peserta didik memberikan respon positif terhadap implementasi model discovery learning. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah pembelajaran dengan model discovery learning dapat meningkatkan KPS, sikap sosial, dan peserta didik memberikan respon positif.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh implementasi model discovery berbasis video pada pembelajaran IPA terhadap pemahaman konsep siswa tentang proses daur air. Penelitian ini dilakukan melalui pendekatan Pre Experimental Design dengan Pre-test and Post-test Group yang dilaksanakan di SD Negeri Labuy kabupaten Aceh Besar sejak bulan Agustus – Oktober 2021. Sampel yang terpilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling yaitu kelas V sebagai kelas eksperimen. Analisa data pretest dan posttest dilakukan untuk mengetahui pemahaman konsep peserta didik.

Abstract

Community service activities regarding the socialization of stunting prevention to pregnant women and toddlers from an early age in Gampong Geuceu Komplek Banda Raya District Banda Aceh City aims to improve health education to the community, especially pregnant women and mothers with toddlers related to stunting, how to prevent stunting, child characteristics who experience stunting and how to process food so that it has balanced nutrition but is cheap and easy to obtain by the community, this community service also motivates the community to be more intense and focus on the health of their families and environment, here also explains how to cope if children experience stunting, so that they can immediately and children do not experience stunting until adult, the impact of stunting is not only related to height but also related to future health and intelligence. Hopefully this socialization can reduce the number of stunting in Aceh in particular.

Abstract

Cosmetics are considered very important in today's life, not only women who use cosmetics but men also use it for their needs and lifestyle. There are also a lot of cosmetic products marketed by manufacturers, so people have to be more observant in choosing cosmetics that are safe to use, because not all producers pay attention to the safety quality of the ingredients of the products they produce, if people are wrong in choosing cosmetic products/using cosmetics that contain hazardous chemicals will cause health problems. The method used in this community service is counseling by providing knowledge about safe cosmetics, and prohibited and dangerous chemicals that are often used in cosmetics, then followed by a question and answer session. Furthermore, the PKK cadres were given a questionnaire which aims to determine the level of understanding of the PKK cadres after being given counseling. The activity was carried out in Doy Village, Ulee Kareng District, Banda Aceh. The results of the questionnaire show that 96 percent of PKK cadres understand how to choose safe cosmetics.

Abstract

The problem of this community service is that the location of the partner activity is in a disaster-prone area so that the partner will be vulnerable to disaster. Apart from that, partners need to get support in the learning process. Partners also do not have adequate skills in learning approaches so this needs to be provided with a solution. The aim of this community service activity program is to provide partners with solutions to disasters through the use of environmentally friendly materials from organic and inorganic materials and provide a strengthening learning approach so that partners will be able to solve their problems with the science and technology that has been provided by program executor. For this reason, the solution provided is to provide knowledge about the application of environmentally friendly technology in the construction sector in the form of a mixture of organic concrete and inorganic concrete and provide an understanding of learning approaches. In this activity, building components are produced in the form of concrete floors derived from organic and inorganic waste, with several learning approaches.
