Abstract

This research was conducted at PT. Bank Rakyat Indonesia, Pekanbaru Lancang Kuning Branch Office, with the aim of determining the influence of work discipline, work motivation, and career development on employee performance, with organizational culture as the intervening variable. The subjects of this research were the employees of PT. Bank Rakyat Indonesia, Pekanbaru Lancang Kuning Branch Office, totaling 123 samples. This study utilized questionnaires as a data collection tool. Tests employed to evaluate the research instruments included validity testing, reliability testing, and classic assumption testing. Data analysis involved multiple linear regression analyses, hypothesis testing using T-tests (partial) and F-tests (simultaneous), as well as the determination coefficient and the Sobel test. Based on the T-test and F-test, it was proven that the Work Discipline (X1), Work Motivation (X2), Career Development (X3), and Organizational Culture (Z) variables significantly and positively influence the Employee Performance (Y) variable simultaneously. The determination coefficient for model 1 was 53.7% and for model 2 was 86.6%. The results of this research indicate that work discipline, work motivation, and career development have a positive and significant influence on employee performance, with organizational culture acting as the intervening variable.

Abstract

The main objective of this research is to determine the role of turnover intention in mediating the adaptation of green culture on the work productivity of lecturers at private universities in Medan City. The approach in this research is quantitative. The population comes from 5 private universities in Medan City, totaling 728 students. The sampling technique used cluster sampling, where 258 educational staff were used as research samples. The data analysis technique for this research uses statistical analysis, namely the Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Model (PLS-SEM), which aims to carry out path analysis with latent variables. The results of data analysis show that the adaptation of green culture directly has a significant effect on employee work productivity. Then, turnover intention hurts employee work productivity. Finally, indirect turnover intention does not significantly mediate the adaptation of green culture on employee work productivity. The implications of the findings in this research show that green cultural adaptation currently needs to be carried out by private universities. The provision of green open space and green cultural values at the private higher education level in Medan City has yet to be consistently and sustainably implemented.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of self-efficacy, intrinsic motivation on organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) of elementary school teachers in the post-COVID-19 pandemic mediated by teacher engagement and moderated by job characteristics. A total of 285 valid questionnaires, were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling with SmartPLS3 software. The results showed that teacher engagement mediates the effects of self-efficacy and intrinsic motivation on organizational citizenship behavior. Job characteristics moderate the effect of intrinsic motivation and self-efficacy on teacher engagement, where moderation in the relationship between intrinsic motivation and teacher engagement is positive, and the moderating role in the relationship between self-efficacy and teacher engagement is negative. This shows that the school must be able to encourage teachers to demonstrate OCB in the school environment, so that teachers are willing to help their students and colleagues deal with learning in the post-pandemic period, in addition to jobs that offer a high degree of autonomy, task variety, task significance, and feedback.

Abstract

This research assesses the direct and indirect impact of emotional intelligence, work-life balance, leadership, and work ethics on employee performance at the Camait office in Central Tapanuli Regency, North Sumatra. Employing a quantitative analytic approach, the study sampled 146 workers, from which 88 employees were selected using the Slovin formula. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The findings reveal that emotional intelligence, work-life balance, leadership, and motivation directly, positively, and significantly impact employee performance. In contrast, work ethic does not significantly affect employee performance. Moreover, motivation is a moderating variable that can indirectly influence the relationships between work-life balance, leadership, work ethic, and employee performance. However, motivation alone cannot effectively moderate the relationship between work ethic and employee performance at the Central Tapanuli Regency Head Office. This study underscores the importance of enhancing emotional intelligence, achieving a better work-life balance, and cultivating effective leadership to boost employee performance. Furthermore, it highlights the crucial role of motivation as a moderating factor in improving overall job performance. However, it emphasizes that motivation should be complemented with other strategies to address work ethic issues effectively.
