Abstract

The capacity of the isolation room at the hospital appointed by the Government to treat Covid-19 patients is no longer able to accommodate the positive Covid-19 patients. Positive Covid-19 patients with no symptoms or other signs of worsening physical conditions are advised to do self-quarantine and isolation independently. This self-quarantine/isolation becomes a problem especially in densely populated settlements, especially informal settlements. The case study on this community service activity is an informal settlement located along the Surabaya railroad. Together with the Surabaya ARKOM team as partners, this community service activity conducting field observations with the results that there are still many poor house conditions in this area, the conditions of the houses are tight and not fulfilled the standards of a healthy house, which causes a larger potential spread of Covid-19 virus and makes it impossible to carry out self-isolation in their each homes. The solution offered is to create a communal isolation room module as an emergency isolation room for informal village communities during a pandemic or can be used in other certain emergency conditions with a participatory design method that meets health standards for isolation rooms designed with the easy and fast module applications process. The purpose of this activity is to provide a set of modules for communal quarantine units as prototypes that can be made by the community with a simple system, easily available materials, fast and prioritizing community participation in its assembling.

Abstract

Hepatitis is an infectious disease that is still a concern today and is at risk of becoming a chronic condition with complications of liver function failure.  Screening is carried out to determine the level of response of the body's defense system induced by the vaccine in the population of Pakal district, Surabaya. This study assesses the relationship between antibody status and protection status after vaccination. The study involved 78 people who are eligible to receive the vaccine. After receiving the vaccine, the antibody status is checked and the data obtained were statistically tested and tested for association using a contingency coefficient. From 78 hepatitis B vaccine recipients, 69 people (88,46%) are antibody reactive and 9 people (11.54%) with non-reactive antibody status. From the Chi Square test and the contingency coefficient test, it is shown that there is a relationship between antibody status and protection status (α<0.05; 95% CI). The hepatitis B vaccine provides protection against the risk of hepatitis B virus infection for residents of the Pakal district of Surabaya who have a high-risk lifestyle.

Abstract

Background: A possible office Covid cluster could result from office activity during a pandemic. Implementing health protocols is essential to help protect oneself from the transmission of Covid-19 knowledge of Covid-19 decisions to behave according to health protocols.Purpose: To analyze the relationship between knowledge about Covid-19 and the behavior of implementing health protocols in the office environment.Method: Analytical observation was carried out by collecting data cross-sectional. The population consisted of school teachers, samples were taken based on voluntary sampling with online questionnaires, and 114 respondents participated. Questionnaires were made by the research team and tested for validity and reliability. The results of the data were processed statistically with the Spearman correlation test. Results: There is a relationship between knowledge and behavior of health protocols in the office environment: hand washing steps (r=0.255, p=0.006), minimum distance for interaction (r=0.231, p=0.013), and the type of mask used to go to the office (r=0.312, p=0.001).Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between knowledge of Covid-19 and behavior of health protocols in the office environment, so increased knowledge about Covid-19 needs to be continuously pursued to improve health protocol behavior. Keywords: Covid-19; Behavior; Knowledge; RegulationPendahuluan: Kegiatan perkantoran di masa pandemic dapat berpotensi menjadi klaster perkantoran.
